Lollapalooza is an annual three day, musical festival showcasing 150 various musical artists and groups on eight different stages throughout Grant Park in Chicago. Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell created the festival in 1991 as a farewell tour for his band and it has grown into a much anticipated gathering of music fans from around the world. It features various artists from all facets of the music world, ranging from alternative rock to hip hop to punk rock bands, as well as a host of other attractions like comedy performances and craft booths for all to enjoy.

The 2010 Lollapalooza lineup consists of such popular singers and groups as Green Day, Lady Gaga, The Strokes, Phoenix, Arcade Fire, Yeasayer, Hot Chip, MGMT, the National, Social Distortion and Soundgarden (who will reunite for their first performance in 13 years) and so many more!


Lollapalooza is held at Grant Park which is commonly referred to as "Chicago's front yard," and is among the city's loveliest and most prominent parks.
