  •   Do you charge traveler fees?

    Unlike many other vacation rental booking sites, travelers can book vacation rentals without paying any fees to us. This is one of the reasons we get so many traveler visits to our sites each month.

  •   Which listing option is best for me?

    If you want to maximize your returns and have the time to manage your inquiries, bookings and onsite management, we recommend doing it yourself with an annual subscription or pay-per-booking listing. If you don't have the time, we recommend getting help from a professional to handle the marketing and management of your property.

  •   What are the eligibility requirements for pay-per-booking?

    In order to set up a pay-per-booking listing, you must have a billing address and bank account in one of these countries: United States and Puerto Rico, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Belgium, Netherlands.

  •   Can pay-per-booking listings book offline?

    Pay-per-booking listings are required to use our payments platform for all bookings of the property. Paying online through is more secure for you and your travelers. There are processes in place to ensure payments go through's system and listings that do not adhere to the pay-per-booking terms will be removed from the site.

  •   How does the “Get Help” option work?

    There are two different options for getting help. The first option is to get help with building your listing and managing inquiries and bookings. The second option is to choose a full-service property manager who may also handle onsite property management, such as guest check-in/checkout, cleaning and maintenance. Simply enter the zip code of your property, and we will display a list of property managers in your area with information about their services and fees. You will then be able to contact the property manager to get started.

  •   How do you choose professional managers?

    We provide a list of professional managers who have a successful track record of advertising with us. In turn, these professional managers have committed to make sure you will benefit from a subscription listing on our site as well as all the benefits that come with their services that you choose. There are no mark-ups on the property manager fees and we do not make any incremental money on the referral.

  •   Can I switch options if I change my mind?

    You can switch from pay-per-booking to an annual subscription at any time, and you can switch from an annual subscription to pay-per-booking when your annual subscription expires. If you have chosen to get help, you may need to review your contract terms.

  •   I am not familiar with some of the terms used, can you please explain them to me?

    • Inquiries - An inquiry occurs when a traveler contacts an owner or property manager requesting information regarding a property.
    • Bookings - A booking takes place when an owner confirms a traveler's online booking request and takes payment through HomeAway's secure system.
    • Onsite management - Onsite management includes in market management of properties such as guest check-in/check-out, housekeeping, concierge and maintenance services.
