Planning a trip to Lake Tahoe, but have a pet to take care of? Don’t worry. We have the perfect solution for you: Lake Tahoe pet friendly vacation rentals.

Sending your pet to a kennel can be expensive. You worry about whether or not your pet is getting the proper care. Instead of sending your loved one to an expensive kennel, why not reserve a pet friendly vacation rental? Eliminate the hassles and worries of leaving them at home. Besides, our vacation rentals come with everything you need (i.e., full kitchens, spacious living rooms and bathrooms), in order to make you feel at home.

If you have a dog, take him for a hike! The Lake Tahoe basin is surrounded by hundreds of miles of trails for the hiking enthusiast. Here are a few popular short hikes:

  • Eagle Falls to Eagle Lake. This two-mile hike starts at the Eagle Falls picnic area. It’s a two-mile round trip to Eagle Lake, and the scenery is breathtaking.
  • Glacier Meadow Loop. This is a very short, self-guided nature trail. It begins and ends at the Eastbound I-80 rest stop on Donner Summit.
  • Marlette Lake. The trail starts near the Spooner Lake Picnic Area, at the junction of Highway 28 and 50. The hike is approximately five miles each way to the lake, and it’s mostly mild terrain.
  • Loch Leven Lakes. This is a well-groomed trail that climbs three miles to the first lake, and then reaches two more in the next few miles. The lakes are great for swimming.

Whether you like hiking on beautiful terrain, or just like to relax and enjoy the mountain air, Lake Tahoe is the place to plan your next vacation. It offers many activities to keep you and your family entertained all year long.
