Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Jeff, We just returned from our vacation and wanted to tell you that we had a wonderful time. We went especially for our daughter who is fighting stage 4 lung cancer. She loves the woods and her dogs and this was a wonderful get away for her. She did not want to leave.

We visited the Biltmore and had ribs at 12 bones and my husband and nephew climbed Chimney Creek. Sara got to rest and look at the beautiful scenery. It was just what the Dr. ordered for all of us.

Now we are back to real life and the fight goes on. Thanks you for providing this great get away cabin. Kathy, Joe & sara

Wonderful cabin - wonderful time.

  • 5 of 5
Quaint, spacious, well stocked with everything a traveler could need for a great get-away. Located on a steep hill surrounded by trees, providing a sense of being in the middle of nowhere while you're actually right smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood not far from the Interstate. Although a "pet friendly" cabin, there was no lingering odor of pets or other signs of the wear and tear our furry friends can subject our homes to. We'll be back!

I couldn't recommend this cabin enough! It had everything we needed to feel at home. The beds were super comfy and for being an EXTREMELY pet friendly place, it was clean as a whistle! My dogs and my husband and I enjoyed the peace and quiet and the fenced in doggie run! My only suggestion......a weekend isn't enough! I am going for a week next time!

fantastic cabin on mountain

  • 5 of 5
We really enjoyed this beautiful rustic cabin very near to Asheville; it was nice to be removed from the downtown hustle & bustle, but a quick 10 min drive to activities. We were there for a wedding, so we needed to get in and out of town quick, but we were still able to do a few hikes and get into the mountains easily. The owners are very helpful with information and the cabin is wonderfully decorated - the high vaulted ceiling is just stunning! The kitchen is well equipted and all the appliances are clean and spaceous. The front porch is so relaxing - perfect for a couple of New Yorkers! The nights were extremely quiet. I would recommend this cabin to my friends, and will definitely be back! Thanks again, Susan & Ed from Brooklyn.

I would recommend this cabin to everyone

  • 5 of 5
What a wonderful experience! The cabin was very comfortable. Our teens loved the loft while we enjoyed the privacy of the downstairs bedroom. We wish it had been cold enough for a fire in the wood stove. Asheville is a great city: Biltmore, 12 Bones resturant, the little shops, the drum circle on Friday night, the Blue Ridge Parkway etc. I could go on and on. The nicest thing was being able to sit on the porch and talk after a long day of sightseeing. We will definitely be back soon.

Making a great weekend even better

  • 5 of 5
I had family in from out of town for my son's wedding. I wanted them to enjoy the experience of Asheville in a way that no hotel can. The cabin is very cozy and welcoming. The covered front porch was a very popular hangout. The open cabin floor plan is the best. The warm feel of log construction and the wood stove added to the mountain experience. After the wedding I offered to take everyone out to a restaurant but no one wanted to leave the cabin so we had a cook out right there. The cabin experience made a great weekend even better
