Gulf Shores Get-Away
We enjoyed our stay in this condo unit and our time in Gulf Shores! It had everything we needed! Very spacious and nicely decorated! The balcony was amazing and the view of the beach and the ocean was blissful! It was clean for the most part, but upon our arrival, we were sitting in the front room chatting and my sister-in-law happened to notice something on the floor by the end of the couch closest to the patio door. Upon further inspection, it looked like someone had spilled something there and left it. The cleaning people had missed it because it was behind the coffee table and in the corner. But, I would definitely be having a talk with the cleaning service. As with all properties, there were a few things that weren't working properly, but we worked around it as best we could. The fridge door didn't have a stop, so once opened, it would continue to swing open and would keep going until it hit the pantry door. We just tried to be aware of it and open it all the way if we needed to use 2 hands or hold onto the door with one hand, if we could. The ice maker didn't seem to make very much ice. I'm not sure if there was a trick to it, but we had to buy our own bags of ice often. The owner did tell me about a couple of the barstools' arm rests that weren't attached too well, but it seemed to be all of them, so we just didn't sit in them. The bathtub for the 2 double beds bedroom didn't drain well and actually backed up water and sand into the tub while showering, to the point where feet were completely covered the entire time. None of this was a deal breaker, but just some things to be aware of about the property that the owner can hopefully fix. We enjoyed our stay and all in all, the unit was very nice!
