French Quarter 2nd floor balcony and private deck in the perfect location

French Quarter 2nd floor balcony and private deck in the perfect location

Property Details

Updated: May 21, 2015
2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, sleeps up to 6

Can't beat this location! Everything is within walking distance! One block to Bourbon Street and half block to Jackson Square in the heart of the French Quarter and directly across the street from where Tennessee Williams wrote 'A Streetcar Named Desire'. Rouses grocery store is right across from the entrance. The place is surrounded by lots of bars, restaurants and music. Half block to Preservation hall and Pat O'Brien's. The back bedroom has a private 2nd floor deck with patio furniture, high speed wireless Internet, cable, AC, microwave, coffee maker, flat screen TV and a full bath. An absolute oasis!

The front bedroom with the balcony overlooking the street has washer/dryer, central AC, high ceilings, 42' flat screen TV, wood floors and a big kitchen. Rent both and have a palace! Two detached structures connected by the private rear deck. 2nd bedroom and bath has private entrance. Piano!

Rent the whole place and have 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths with a private rear deck and a balcony in the front overlooking the street. It is the very best location in the center of the French Quarter. It's a great share as the 2nd bedroom has a private entrance.

You'll feel like a denizen of the French Quarter!

Great Experience

The condo was perfect for our trip Christmas Holiday trip. There was plenty of room for my family of six and we fully enjoyed all the accommodations and amenities. We ranged in age from 21-67 and it worked well for all age groups. The separate room was wonderful and gave us a great deal of privacy. The history of the building fit into the history of the French Quarter. It was clean and quaint with a homey feel. The view onto St. Peters Street was fun. Location, location, location, the condo is walking distance to everything we needed, including a game in the Super Dome. I have already recommended to family and friends. Wendy is incredibly easy to work with and very very helpful.

I had planned a trip in February for my birthday with a group of friends to a different place but that trip got snowed out, and I am so glad that it did! I found this rental and it just fit all our needs. This condo is in a prime spot. You walk out the door and are in the heart of the French Quarter, just a few blocks away from any destination you could choose. The sleeping accomodations were not that of a five-star hotel, but you are not paying for luxury here, you are paying for the location and experience. For our group of 6 twenty-somethings, it was perfect. I will definitely be staying here my next trip to NOLA!

Vieux de Carre with a View!

My husband and I were so pleased with this condo! You are right in the heart of the Quarter! Across from a market, where there is always a performance going on, 1 1/2 blocks form Bourbon Street, 1 block from Jackson Square, and there is always something to do! The condo entrance was safe, the back bedroom was quiet and secluded and the balcony overlooking St. Peter Street was the highlight of my trip!! The rental process was so smooth, Wendy was amazing to work with and gave me some great tips for sight seeing and meals. We can't wait to go back next year. Thanks for renting to us!!

Home away from home!

This property is my most favourite in New Orleans. We have visited this wonderful city many times (20 for me, 19 for my husband). We decided on a rental the last two times we have visited as hotels are impersonal and not all that comfortable. This property is in the most perfect location, has all amenities, a wonderful grocery store on the corner. We have rented both front and back and both apartments are well equipped. The back we have rented when our daughter visited with us. We have used the front both times, with a full kitchen, bedroom, separate bedroom and living room. Five major appliances and the unit is extremely comfortable and clean. It also has a balcony that is charming, having coffee and listening to the street music or the church bells. Although in the heart of the French Quarter it is surprisingly quiet if need be. I will add that it is safe, never feeling uneasy coming or going. I absolutely love this place and is our apartment of choice when visiting. The owners are very thorough, quick in responding to requests and allow the renting process to proceed smoothly.
The location allows easy access to all sights, from Bourbon, to Frenchman Street, to the ferries to the trolley to get to the lower garden district or anywhere beyond.

Great stay in New Orleans!!

We rented both front and back apartments over July 4th holiday. The location was absolutely perfect. This is a perfect getaway location if you want to be in the middle of the French Quarter. Jackson Square is literally right around the corner. The night of the 4th we could see the fireworks on the river from the balcony. By the way, we loved and used the balcony. Had a great time just people watching. Can't wait to go back and rent the property again. Wendy and Raj were great to deal with. Can't beat them. Pam & Mike from MS

Mardi Gras to remember!

  • 5 of 5
Myself and four of my friends (2 couples) stayed here for 5 nights over Mardi Gras this year - just one word - amazing, perfect, captures the heart and essence of NOLA....I could go on - OK, it is not possible in one word..!
We rented out both the front and back - one couple stayed in the back which has great facilities and also gives privacy. In the front - the other couple stayed in the double bedroom and I slept in the sofa bed in the lounge which was dead comfy - plenty of room for 5-6 people.
The location couldn't be better especially for Mardi Gras. For the few days leading up to Mardi Gras itself we went to the parades and soaked up the atmosphere. It is right in the centre - we could walk most places - the only time we got a taxi was to go for dinner at the 'Commanders Palace' which I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to go for a posh-ish meal - it is down in the Garden District. For the true taste of NOLA would also recommend tasting the Po-Boys at Johnny Po-Boys - so, so tasty! Also, Sunday Brunch is a must and an institution - would recommend Mr B's on Royal Street.
We had actually planned to hit the parades for Mardi Gras itself but ended up spending the whole day on the balcony that overlooks the street - lots of mini parades went past, the music was playing, people were partying, we were dressed in fancy dress throwing beads to the crowds and drinking homemade Hurricanes - was one of the best and most memorable days of my travels EVER!
There is a supermarket just across the street which stocks pretty much everything, the crazy Bourbon street is just a few minutes walk away - and if you fancy somewhere quieter there are plenty of bars and restaurants on Royal Street itself.
We fancied getting away from it all and booked an airboat swamp tour which was great - we didn't see many 'Gators' as it was pretty cold but the swamps are beautiful and definitely something not to miss if you have time!
The accomodation is a 'home from home' - so well equipped and has everything you need. If you are looking for a posh hotel room this is not it - if you are looking to stay in a beautiful French Quarter condo which has the authentic New Orleans feel - this is the place. I had been to New Orleans once before and stayed in a hotel - never again - this will be the first place I will try and book next time I am back. As they say - once you have been to New Orleans you will always be back!! Wendy & Raj - thankyou so much!
