About the Owner

My name is Todd.I was retired when I purchased my home in 2007 and wanted to enjoy my home as a weekend retreat.I am a designer/artist with a keen sense for home furnishing decor and have spent two years renovating our home into our personal nest. I am called back to work now and so I have decided to share our special home with vacationers visiting Asheville. My wife, Kaye, and I love Asheville; it is a magical place.

Ashville and its surroundings are glorious and enjoying all of that in the comfort and luxury of this wonderful mountain home, made it that much more special.

The house has the most amazing views. The large windows that surround it give you the feeling of being outside, in nature, while at the same time you get to enjoy the comfort of being indoors and surrounded by the wonderful furnishings and decorations.

It's in the mountains, in the middle of nature, but only 2 miles from downtown and 4 from the wonderful Blue Ridge Parkway.

From here, you really do get the best of both worlds. The feeling of being as close to nature as humanly possible, while at the same time enjoying the luxury of being a few minutes away from the activities downtown Ashville and the surroundings has to offer. All in the comfort of modern day kitchen and bath (awesome Jacuzzi and seperate shower included) and coziness of a well furnished and decorated mountain home.

I highly recomed this property and everything about it.

I wish there was a sixth star!

Five stars are not enough to express my delight with my stay at Eagles Perch. I've been coming to Asheville for decades—stayed in B&Bs and even the Grove Park Inn— but my stay at Eagles Perch was far and away my most memorable, most relaxing ultimate Asheville experience. If I was lucky enough to live in Asheville, this is the type of home I would want. The owners have great taste and exquisite attention to detail. The home is decorated with so many beautiful furnishings, unique lighting fixtures and works of art—all in the keeping with the spirit of Asheville's arts and crafts legacy. The master suite (the entire top floor) with its garden tub and gorgeous separate shower, is like staying at a spa. And the views from the every level of the home are spectacular. You can tell that the owners have travelled extensively themselves and have anticipated their guests' every need. The house is spacious—three levels—with something for everyone. My 12 year old son loved the ping pong table and the variety of games, TVs, etc. When we were ready to take a hike, we just had to head out the door and walk along the near-private roads to experience streams, waterfalls, and beautiful views of Asheville. We were here with two other couples and everyone had plenty of room to spread out, read, talk, watch TV, cook, etc. Speaking of, I love to cook and this kitchen was equipped with EVERYTHING I could possibly need to prepare a gourmet meal. When it's time to turn in, the very comfy beds are appointed with 100% cotton sheets and luxurious blankets and comforters. The temperature plunged while we were there and the wood burning stoves were awesome. I can't think of a better place to bring in the New Year. It's a great home for family reunions or gatherings! We will definitely return and hope to make Eagle's Perch our "home" in Asheville.

A Great Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5
Our stay at Eagle's Perch was all we had hoped it would be. The location could not have been better - private, surrounded by nature, yet very easy access to downtown Asheville and surrounding areas. The house was perfectly clean, very well equipped, and the furnishings inviting and comfortable. The art and decor reflect the home's style and the owner's talents. Our group of six particularly enjoyed the great views from the decks, the large and convenient kitchen, and the care the owner took to provide information guidelines and tips on galleries, touring, shopping, hiking, dining and more. We can highly recommend Eagle's Perch and look forward to returning for another visit.

Thank you again for opening this gorgeous perfectly located home to my me, my husband and our dogs. We have hiked out butts off again and beat our last years time...YEAH!
We enjoy Belle Chere, drum circle, Mt Pisgah, cooking class, Crossfit Asheville- what a great group of people and yes, saw the bear. We have made friends here and actually did some house shopping. But until we buy we will keep booking here at Eagles Perch. Three weeks does not seem long enough....maybe 4 weeks next year?
Thank you again...

Although I did not see any eagles, the home is aptly named.

I rented Todd's home because my daughter was getting married in Weaverville. My children and I really enjoyed the house. On a couple of occasions we hosted people who were in town for the wedding and the house was perfect for our purposes. I loved the lighting fixtures and lamps and some of the other nice touches Todd has done in his remodeling. I highly recommend this house for your stay in Asheville. Todd was very accommodating with everything.

The best house we ever rented

  • 5 of 5
Beautiful home, so close to downtown Asheville. We were so impressed with how clean it was, so well stocked, and organized. It was helpful to have labels on all the light switches. We loved the artwork and the lighting. The view from master bath is incredible, overlooking the nature.
Thank you for a very informative guide and suggestions in Asheville.
The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We followed your suggestion and took a walk in the neighborhood. It's so peaceful and beautiful there.
There is a great hiking place about 15-20 min drive, near the Arboretum, called Bent Creek. There are many trails, and there is a lake there too. We hiked there and then went to the Arboretum, which was beautiful with it's gardens and sculptures.
It rained one day and we were happy to stay in and enjoy this beautiful home. There were so many games on the first floor to entertain the kids.
We can't say enough about this home. It was hard to leave, and we'd like to come back again.

I was looking for a serene and private get-a-way that would support my creative spirit. The mountains are magical, mystical and inspirational. The town is real and vibrant and filled with opportunities to grow and just enjoy being present.
