About the Owner

I have been working with interior designers and architects in Seattle, New York City and Los Angeles for over 30 years. This has given me the opportunity to appreciate some of the finest design work available in this country. As part of my profession, I have been exposed to the best of the best available in North America and Europe. I thoroughly enjoy being able to share this experience with others through remodeling and renovation projects such as this delightful urban garden apartment. I also enjoy good company, wine and cruising on Lake Washington, Lake Union and the Puget Sound in our 1956 Chris Craft motor yacht. I can frequently be seen wearing a smile.

This is a great place to stay. It is EXACTLY as pictured and described. It is spacious, modern, very well kept, quiet and in a great neighborhood. I highly recommend staying here when you are in Seattle.

Better than any hotel

  • 5 of 5
On my next trip to Seattle, this apartment is where I am going to come back to.

I was the first in my party to arrive. It was raining out and it was a couple hours before the official check in. I called Bill, the owner, from the front door and he graciously allowed me access. He showed me around, brought in plush bath robes and then politely disappeared. The apartment was absolutely spotless and there was nothing in it that could be called "builder's grade," from the marble entrance to the beautiful hardwood living room with interesting art work. The kitchen is state-of-the-art and was a pleasure to cook in with its professional DCS stove and hand made cabinets. One of the main selling points for us was the huge garden patio which was like having your own private park to relax in. The owner also emailed us a list of restaurants and coffee houses around the neighborhood. You can see Lake Union from the windows and Mt Rainier when it's nice out, all from the living room.

Just down the hill is a coffee house called Citizen, and a bit further down was a gourmet grocery store called QFC. Up the Hill, over on Queen Ann Street is about three blocks of shops, restaurants and even more coffee houses including a wonderful restaurant called "How To Cook A Wolf."

The only drawback, and I say this to illustrate how great this place was, is Bill's coffee cups only hold 4 ounces and his printer/fax/scanner doesn't have Windows 8 drivers. So in total, the place is spectacular. I will never stay in a hotel again.

Wonderful Seattle Weekend

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I stayed at this extremely nice Queen Anne apartment for our four day Seattle stay. The unit is very well kept up, clean, well furnished and extremely confortable. Reservations were professionally handled and the owner is very gracious and accomodating.

The unit is walking distance (albeit with some hills but all good exercise) to Seattle Center with its Chihuly Museum and, Space Needle and theatres. Also walking distance to some great Queen Anne neighborhoods. Since we were on vacation we did not use the top-flight kitchen facilities except for a Sunday breakfast of Eggs Benedict which we enjoyed on the balcony watching the sun rise. But there is everything you would need to prepare any meal of your choosing.

We have definitely found a new favorite place to stay in Seattle and will return

Thanks Bill for everything!

Convenient and comfortable

  • 5 of 5
This apartment was perfectly located for a weekend in Seattle, close enough to walk downhill to the Space Needle and in a lovely residential neighborhood with varied architectural styles. We tried some of the restaurants recommended by the owner and were very pleased. The bus is across the street and handy when our legs tired from walking the hills. The owner is very gracious and helpful, justifiably proud of the well-appointed and pristine apartment.

Great Spacious Apt

  • 5 of 5
The Skinny:

OWNER- easy to deal with and is very nice to give neighborhood recommendations

PARKING- if you have a rental car, there is a spot in front of the driveway you can park

KITCHEN- great modern kitchen with all the appliances that you would need if you want to cook

LIVING ROOM- comfy couch, big TV, and great windows

BEDROOM- great bed with nice linens, closet with luggage rack (nice touch), big dresser

BATHROOM- there is the hall bathroom which is lovely for privacy and there is the Master Bathroom which has soft towels and a huge tub. There isn't much counter space but you can store stuff in the medicine cabinet

BONUS- there are books and DVD's in the hall bath bookcase, there is a sweet patio to hang out on - there is a hot tub but we did not use it

ALSO- you can walk to a few neighborhood spots and if you feel up for it even walk to the Space Needle or MOHAI.

The only con is that you can hear the tenant above using their water and walking around (most active in the AM) so if you are a light sleeper, you may want to bring earplugs.

Great spacious apartment to hang in and use while visiting Seattle!

Seattle is arguably the most beautiful city in the United States and this apartment is perfectly situated to enjoy a unique private garden atmosphere while being close to all the important sights of the city. We have been living on Queen Anne hill for over 30 years and think it is the ideal location to see Seattle and all it has to offer.

From the Owner

We are centrally located near the heart of downtown Seattle and enjoy easy access via cab, car or bus. Although we are midway up one of Seattle's most notable hills, Queen Anne, we are mere blocks from the Seattle Center and South Lake Union. Boutique coffee houses abound and an outstanding selection of the finest dining available is never more than a few minutes away. Should you decide to stay in, your efficient gourmet kitchen overlooks a living/dining area furnished with classic mid century furnishings placed in a delightfully detailed 1926 bungalow renovation. Powder room facilities are discretely located near the entry and a small office/work area is furnished with a fax, scanner, copier/printer. The living area opens to a Brazilian teak deck that overlooks and steps down to a hot tub and 1,400 square feet of Montana Slate that has been set into a terrace and meandering path leading to the end of the yard.
