Our vacation hide-a-way is located in a unique community. We have named it E Komo Mai . The apartment is approximately 900 sq ft . You will have a private entry and driveway . It is easy to go and come on your own schedule at any time of the day . The Gazebo provides another 200 sq ft of outdoor living to make a great rain or shine living space with over head lighting and ceiling fan and skylight .

The neighborhood is quite friendly and active. We have many guest staying in the neighborhood that come to experience the true feeling of Hawaii. The area is filled with young and old. Families will feel right at home like a local resident.

We are very close to the beach that has been repeatedly mentioned in the top ten beaches in the world. The white sand and beautiful blue water are like no others. We are very close to Kailua which has grown with many new restaurants and boutiques and cafes. Whole Foods is now anchoring a new shopping area with other stores and restaurants. Every Thursday evening at the Kailua Center there is a local farmer's market and earlier in the day at the local recreation center there is another outdoor flower and vegetable market. At the beach center about 5 minutes from the apartment has all kinds of rentals kayaks,canoes,stand up paddle board and surf boards. In Kailua you can also rent snorkel and diving equipment and there is one location for motorized bicycles. Lots to do and new things to try.
The Kitchen has granite counters and is fully stocked and there is a Weber Grill outside in Gazebo.. Microwave which is also an air fryer,coffee maker ,toaster, and rice cooker. There is a stackable washer and dryer in your apartment The bedroom is furnished with a king bed and high quality linens and covered with a traditional Hawaiian Quilt. You will find a unique closet system for storing clothes. The sofa is a queen sleeper sofa made by American Leather which is an easy set up and store system with a mattress of the best quality and comfort.

The most beautiful beach.

Staing with Len & Jenny has been so pleasant. They did everything to make it comftable for us. We stayed for 30 days, we enjoyee the walk to the most beautiful beach Lanikai. The whole neighborhood is nice, clean and beautiful. In Kailua you have all you need for shopping and groceries. Len and Jenny have everything for af day at the beach, parasol, beach chairs, boogie board and everything to make a good sandcastle which the kids liked a lot. The lanai and garden was beautiful, and we used the gas grill a lot. The place matched the pictures well. Thanks for a lovely month.

Private Little Paradise

We stayed 30 days at this little gem, almost the entire month of July. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The king bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, pots and pans, etc., everything except a dish washer. The washer & dryer were a nice convenience. Air conditioners worked great. The greatest feature for me was the gazebo and deck which were right outside our door. It was huge, with about a 12 ft. square which was covered and about another 300 square feet of deck with lots of comfortable furniture. It was surrounded by a back yard of thick, lush tropical trees and plants which made it very private. There was a grill which we used several times. The owners also had tons of beach equipment which was at our disposal. Beautiful Lanikai Beach was very close, but very busy and the only parking was on the street. But there were a couple of areas which were within 6 to 10 minutes walking distance from the apartment. Jenny and Lenny were always very helpful with any questions we had. A great place to serve as home base while exploring the wonderful island. Downtown Kailua was only 3 miles away.

Great and comfortable stay!

My fiancé, 10 year old son, and I stayed at the property for one month. Overall, it was a great experience. We weren’t too far from a Whole Foods, I found a gym and local yoga studios in town, and the drive to Lanikai beach is no more than a few minutes. Walking could be about 20 minutes but there’s also a very tiny beach just up the street. The space was mostly comfortable for the three of us. Since we were staying a month, my fiancé worked remote. The one issue we really had was with Wi-Fi and cell service. We have T-Mobile and didn’t have any cell service up there, which would’ve been fine, but the Wi-Fi was pretty weak. The Wi-Fi would work if you’re just watching Netflix or something, but my fiancé was working remote and his video calls would often drop and/or people in the other end of the meeting would have a lot of trouble hearing him. Some days it would put him behind in work and if he was working my son and I definitely couldn’t use the Wi-Fi because it would interfere. So this property is more ideal if you’re not working remote or your work doesn’t require zoom meetings, but other than that, when the Wi-Fi wasn’t fading out, we could watch Netflix and my son could play some games in Roblox. The only other thing I would note, is some appliances could be updated, especially the washer and dryer. We had to wash very small loads for our clothes to be washed effectively. And nothing heavy, no towels or anything which they do offer to wash those for you. Overall, it was a great experience and comfortable for sleeping. The AC was very helpful on those hot nights but even the fans in the house kept us pretty cool.

Hawaiian Paradise

Such a wonderful place to stay. The unit had everything we needed, full kitchen, comfortable bed, living room to relax. The true highlight of the unit was the large private patio. We had breakfast and dinner out there every day, and also could lounge and read. Kailua is the perfect location for seeing many parts of Oahu. We particularly loved the Lanikai and Kailua beaches, watching the sunrise on the beach most mornings, a simple walk from our place. The property hosts were responsive and welcoming. We’d love to stay here again!

Paradise

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay! We will be back again someday. The owners, Len and Jenny were always there when we needed them, but that wasn’t often. Just asked them where the perfect spots for the sunrise and places to go and eat. I wanted my family to experience Hawaii out of the city life and this is exactly what we wanted. The beaches are just down the road and they are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world (and I’ve been to many islands). It was just enough room as we were not planning on staying at the place much during the day. It did downpour the first 2 days we got there and Len had a tarp for us to cover our car as it was a soft top. If you want to experience like a local, this is the place. The Lani and gardens are so peaceful. I enjoyed the beauty. Thanks again Len and Jenny! Aloha!

We have been in Hawaii for many years. My husband born and raised here on Oahu He moved to Kailua when he was very young . He has surfed for many years both board and body can tell you good spots for experienced and beginners .

Why they chose this property

This is a unique and private community. The apartment is located close to all that you might be interested in seeing on Ohau . The completion of H3 HWY has made it possible to get from Kailua to Pearl Harbor, Waikele Premium Outlets,North Shore Big waves great surf spots . I might add no traffic on H3. Going from Lanikai to Sandy Beach , Makapu'u ,Sea Life Park, and Hanauma Bay are all about 30 minute drive on Kalaniana'ole HWY

What makes this property unique

Beaches here are beautiful we exercise and walk, jog, and bike. We can relax and have quiet hours for reading and resting. We are a short 3 minute walk to the beach. Every morning you can enjoy a nice private walk on the beach with beautiful fine white sand and than come home for coffee and enjoy the tropical setting off your lanai . If you prefer you can go to a local coffee shop just off Kailua Beach. Bikes are also available in Kailua for rent to bike the trails and just getting around Kailua There are several areas for hiking. One that is quite enjoyable when you get to the top that overlooks all of Lanikai.
