"We spent 5 nights at the apartment, and we concur with all of the other positive reviews you are reading. Location is perfect. Views are breathtaking. Everything in the apartment is in excellent shape, and well maintained. Bryan, Tim, and CD were a pleasure to work with.

Wonderful San Francisco Apartment

  • 5 of 5
We spent three weeks in this apartment during the Christmas period, and had a great city vacation while there. The first thing one notices about the apartment is, of course, the stunning view of the Ferry Building, Embarcadero, and Bay Bridge. A less featured but equally evocative aspect of the view is the urbane city feel provided by the surrounding buildings of the Embarcadero Center and financial district.

The location is certainly one of the best in the city for a visitor on a number of counts. The Ferry Building Plaza is perhaps the most convenient transit hub in the city. Within a 2-3 block walk, one can catch the F-Line trolley that goes to Fisherman's Warf on one end and the Castro on the other, a cable car that will take you to the top of Nob Hill and beyond, a MUNI light rail train to places south along the embarcadero (including the Giant's ballpark), a BART train that will take you to numerous places in the greater Bay Area, a ferry boat to Marin or the east bay, or any number of buses. In addition, for those with a car, the Embarcadero is a quick perimeter route to many places in the city.

The financial district is also home to many fine restaurants as well as casual eateries, so it is very easy to walk to many great places to eat. The location of the apartment is also one of the most convenient in the city for provisioning food -- Safeway is in the courtyard at the base of the building, and the Ferry Building with its dense collection of artisan food producers and a weekly farmer's market is across the street. Shopping is also very convenient. Union Square is easily accessible by foot or transit, and the Embarcadero Center across a small park, has a nice collection of shops as well as restaurants.

The apartment itself is a model of thoughtfulness and taste. The furniture, bed, and linens are uniformly high quality. the television and sound system are top of the line, and the apartment is extraordinarily well equipped with cooking and other equipment. Bryan and Tim have literally thought of everything.

The process of renting this apartment is highly organized and smoothly executed. Most importantly, the owners and their local representative are all professional, friendly, eager to insure a pleasant stay, and very responsive to any questions or issues.

It is hard to imagine a better short-term apartment rental in San Francisco than this gem in the financial district. Recommended without reservation.

Excited to report that, we’ve finally found our San Francisco vacation home. As long as it’s just the two of us travelling, are hunt is over.

We come to SF at least every two years and have stayed at a number of other VRBOs and Bryan and Tim’s place is perfect for us. Location, location, location. You really have no need for a car. We are walkers and transit takers and this property’s location is perfect for all options.

Shop at the Ferry Building for groceries, pre-made dinners or restaurant meals (had lunch and dinner at Slanted Door); Safeway is right across the street, Starbucks and more is an easy walk. You’re on the edge of Chinatown, North Beach and an easy walk to points beyond.

The unit was very comfortable and quiet with an abundance of linens, towels, kitchen utensils, pots, dinner ware, condiments, various nibbles and such; there was not one, “I wish they had…” expressed or thought. Wine, cheese and crackers welcomed us, the refrigerator and cabinets were full.

Loved the balcony and the birds; parrots from the trees below flying about, beautiful sunrises and views.

It was all we hoped it would be, as advertised and more. Can’t wait for our next visit. Highly recommend this unit and the owner, Bryan is very attentive and responsive as was CD, the unit’s Host.

This apartment could not have been any more perfect. It was beautiful and spotless. The view of the Embarcadero and Bay Bridge was incredible. On arrival we were greeted by the apartment manager who not only familiarized us with the apartment and it's amenities, but had a nice cheese and wine snack for us. The apartment had everything we could possibly need. The building location was great with a grocery store and Starbucks right downstairs. We would go back in a flash!

What an amazing property that is centrally located! Just a short walk from the Port of San Francisco is this beautiful property. The photos posted DO NOT do this property or view any justice. The property is very well maintained. There is a Safeway kiddie corner to the property with a Starbucks about 25 steps from the front door. This trip was a bucket list trip as my husband and I went to see the 49ers play in historic Candlestick Park before they move to Levi's Stadium for 2014. The F line that is a 30 second walk will connect you to the train to AT&T Park for baseball, Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf, and to Candlestick Park if you get there before the end of this NFL season. Market Street is a short walk to some of the great shopping San Fran offers. This is also close to China Town, Little Italy, and many other great locations accessible by foot. There is also a bike rental station right outside the condo where Safeway and Starbucks are. You can leave your car at home or at the city limits as you don't need it. Taxi during rush hour was $55.00 from the airport. Going back was $45.00. This was the only time we needed a taxi. Rest was foot or the inexpensive public transit that puts most Canadian cities to shame. There are NO SHORTAGE of great restaurants to eat at, even for the fussy eater that are 5 minutes from the condo. Our favourite was Osha Thai that is 150m from the condo. Can't go wrong with anything on their menu. CD was great. Our hosts were great. Thank you for the fruit and wine as that was greatly appreciated. As much as my husband hates football, I am trying to convert him to becoming a 49ers fan, so we can come back next year. I have a couple of months to do this. Our next stay will be longer. There is way too much to do in San Fran! Can't wait to come back and stay at this property again! Thanks again Tim and rock!

I can only echo what many others have written here. This was the perfect apartment for us--excellent location, plenty of space, everything here that you could want--from robes (great for having an early morning coffee on the balcony watching the sun rise over the Bay Bridge) to wine and cheese for that first evening's celebration. We have stayed at many vacation rentals and I am hard pressed to think of any that come close to Bryan and Tim's apartment. We will be back!

This was our second stay at the property. The apartment is very well-appointed, immaculately clean and has a beautiful view of the Bay Bridge. The photograph in the listing is spot-on. The owners are a pleasure to deal with and provide all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well-stocked, so you don't have to rush to the Safeway (one block away) as soon as you arrive. The attention to detail and availability of the owners by telephone is the best in our experience with renting properties through HomeAway. We were met by CD upon our arrival and he was very helpful in getting us settled in. There is a space that can be rented in the building garage for a small fee. We just love staying here and would not look for another option in San Francisco! Thank you Bryan and Tim.
