Serendipity Too is perfect for savoring romance and bliss with the Love of Your Life in our private love nest. Whether you're getting engaged, celebrating a wedding, planning a honeymoon or anniversary getaway, our home is lavishly decorated with Your New Beginnings in mind!

Serendipity Too was completely remodeled inside & out in 2012 and our decor is updated seasonally. Our log home has black appliances, granite-look counter tops, stylish plumbing & light fixtures, a queen sleeper sofa and bumper pool/poker table in the carpeted loft, white blinds, cute dishes & lots of cookware if you want to cook at home!

Plus we've improved our property with an outdoor fire pit and lots of ever-blooming red and magenta rose bushes as well as hundreds of perennials.

Perfect for all our Christian guests, we created a prominently-placed 12-foot long banner that proclaims: 'As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord!' Joshua 24:15

Big Black Bears have been seen right here! (Looking for tasty garbage, not people!)

Romantic Serendipity Too is an all-log home nestled on a mountain ridge in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, just 15 minutes away from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountain National Park entrance. It provides a private, peaceful location perfect for your romantic getaway or weekend escape, yet is also prepared to host up to 6 adults.

Our cabin is located in a log home community called Sky Harbor, accessed from the King Branch Road exit just a 15 minute drive southeast of Pigeon Forge on Parkway 441, and about 15 minutes to Gatlinburg. All cabins are owned individually, as opposed to being part of a resort. You can expect to drive 5 to 10 minutes from the Parkway up to the cabin. The closest Trolley Stop is located at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center, about 10 minutes farther southeast from the King Branch Road exit on Parkway 441. Click on our map link to see exactly where Serendipity Too is located and you can zoom out to see Pigeon Forge (about 10 minutes northwest from the King Branch Road exit) and Gatlinburg (about 15 minutes southeast).

Enjoy the tranquil relaxing breeze from the Cracker Barrel rocking chairs and bench on our back porch as you view the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Let our cabin transport you from the every-day hustle and bustle to a place where you will refresh and renew. You will enjoy the privacy and peacefulness here, since each home is on an acre lot and the nearest cabins are at least 100-200 feet away on either side, or 500 feet up or down the mountain. The back deck has bamboo privacy blinds and ivy-covered lattice that keep others from seeing you when you’re enjoying the hot tub.

The Mountain View from our front porch expands across a valley to another mountain ridge covered with trees and other cabins. There’s no other cabin directly in front of or behind Serendipity Too. Our large wooden porch swing hangs beneath the back deck with full afternoon sun and splendiferous sunset views.

As you enter this cozy chalet style log home you will find 30' high vaulted ceilings with a large river rock-covered fireplace and log mantel, a 32' TV with DVD/VCR player, a leather sleeper sofa with a queen-size bed and stereo with AM/FM/CD player in the open great room.

Our fully-equipped kitchen includes a large round glass and wrought iron table with four comfortable suede-upholstered chairs. You will be pleased to find there are plenty of upscale dishware, silverware, utensils, pots & pans, casserole dishes, cooking and bake ware, appliances and Black & Decker coffee maker and toaster oven.

In the master bedroom you will find our Queen Anne Jacuzzi tub for two, perfect for a slippery & sudsy bubble bath with your honey. You will also have a sturdy queen size log bed with stylish comforter and soft linens, a closet and oak armoire for your clothes and a TV. This Master Suite opens out to the private deck where you'll enjoy the secluded wooded setting. A set of linens and towels are provided for your convenience along with a starter set of toilet tissue & paper towels.

Upstairs in our loft is a 3-in-1 bumper pool / poker / table, plus another TV with DVD/VCR and a large microfiber convertible sleeper sofa with queen-size bed. You will never have to leave this lover’s paradise to have a great time!

On the large back deck you have a huge hot tub comfortable for 4 or 6 people, plus 3 rocking chairs and a love seat with lots of pillows where you can enjoy the mountains with your special someone. You will have complete privacy with 3 sets of bamboo pull-down blinds and ivy-covered lattice that surround the deck. At night you'll enjoy the romantic lighting strung around the back porch ceiling!

Serendipity too has lots of adorable and romantic decorations and floral arrangements including hearts, angels and roosters and is bright and cheery with lots of huge windows for viewing the mountains. There is a full bathroom with tub and shower, plus a separate laundry room with full-size washer/dryer. There’s even an ironing board, iron and hairdryer!

Amenities include Wireless Internet, Charter Cable TV with extended network channels plus free local telephone service. Plus, we provide sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, wash cloths & soap for your personal & housekeeping needs.

This is the ultimate cabin to celebrate your engagement, wedding, honeymoon, anniversary or unique & romantic getaway; it's also perfect for family fun. We know you'll enjoy your stay in Serendipity Too and will find it difficult to leave!

Very nice

  • 5 of 5
We arrived to an issue with the lock. I called the number provided and Suzy promptly answered with new directions. Upon entering the cabin we found it beautifully decorated. There were brand new towels and sheets (a very nice surprise). The cabin was located in the middle of where we wanted to be--hiking and visiting the artisans in Gatlinburg. Highly recommend staying here.

Great Cabin outside of the busy Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg areas

  • 5 of 5
We had a wonderful time at this cabin and could not have been more pleased with the level of service that we received from the home owner. We took our children (7 & 8) and two dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone thanks to the spacious upstairs loft.

Pros:
Very clean
Nice appliances, TVs, hot tub, etc.
Great, great service with home owner
Away from the city

Con:
The Bed in the bedroom was extremely loud when you got in or out. If I got up to go to the restroom at night or check on the kids, the creaking would wake up my wife. I think the box spring might need to be replaced soon. Other than that, the bed was quite comfortable.

If given the opportunity to visit the area again, I would definitely come back to this cabin if available.

Serendipity Too Cabin

  • 5 of 5
This cabin was so great, tucked away in the woods outside of the rush of Gatlinburg but close enough if you did want to go out to dinner or grab some supplies. It was very clean and quite, with a nice jacuzzi that is perfect after a long hike.

Terrible experience

  • 1 of 5
The cabin was not a romantic getaway...areas were dirty and we spent the first couple hours there cleaning and washing sheets. The hot tub was disgustingly filthy and smelly upon arrival. It was eventually repaired and cleaned, but we only had use of it for the last day of the trip. Upon returning to the cabin on second night after being out all day the door code no longer worked and someone had entered cabin and stolen the flat screen TV, and had left the back porch door unlocked. We fortunately did not leave anything of value in the cabin. On that night we had to call the police and have them come over and fill out a report for the burglary. What was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable long weekend in the mountains was anything but. I would not recommend this cabin to anyone. Also, it is not secluded, there are nearby cabins on either side.

Owner's Response: Though the cabin and hot tub had been thoroughly cleaned after the prior guests departed, these guests reported the hot tub water was dirty upon their late afternoon arrival. We immediately contacted our cleaning & maintenance services to request a service call to the cabin and they promptly repaired, cleaned and refilled the hot tub.
The guests reported the theft of our big screen TV to the County Sheriff that afternoon, and we immediately procured another TV to replace it. We did not suspect that our cleaning and maintenance service would remove anything from the cabin as they have been absolutely trustworthy and reliable for the past 12 months. We did however find it suspicious that none of the guest’s personal belongings had been touched (as did the Sevier County Sheriffs)!
Despite the fact this guest signed our rental agreement which clearly states there will be NO REFUNDS under any circumstances, we refunded not only their cleaning fee, but also one night of their 3 night stay. Funny how the guests who wrote this review failed to note our responsiveness and good-faith effort to make up for their disappointment. Sometimes you just can’t win!
By the way, we are private homeowners who’ve opened our vacation home to strangers; not some big corporation with deep pockets that can easily absorb $1000 hits to our bottom line!
VRBO Owners should be able to report these incidents so other owners don’t have to be taken to the cleaners by guests who have no intention of honoring the rental agreements they sign, but every intention of finding/creating problems so they can publically slander us while personally taking advantage of us financially.

This was a wonderful place for our romantic getaway! The cabin was beautiful. Taking the GPS route took much longer than it did to take the directions provided. Be sure to take the route provided by the owner! The cabin is located in a beautiful area that is quiet and perfect for sight-seeing. Overall had a wonderful time!

Notes:

  • Large Black Bears looking for garbage naturally roam the area from about April till November. We have two 55-gallon metal drums with bear-proof lids for your garbage. If you WANT to increase your chances for seeing a bear, just leave some stinky rubbish by the fire pit, which you can see from a safe distance on both the front & back decks. We've seen them both day and night so you may be in luck! Our nearest neighbors are at least 200-300 feet away; none of the nearby homes face ours. You don't need to worry about snoopy people trying to catch you naked! Plus our back deck has three sets of bamboo pull-down blinds & ivy-covered lattice to provide maximum privacy while you enjoy the hot tub! There's a Hanging Swing for Two beneath the hot tub and a large open area with a real in-the-ground fire pit for your own campfire. There's plenty of kindling to get your fire started but you may want to buy logs from a store if you're not into gathering sticks from the woods!
