A perfect and idyllic place
The house is absolutely lovely. The owners have provided absolutely everything that you might need (with the exception of a grater or seater, but we managed!). Firewood, bug spray and citronella candles, batteries for the remote! We spent hours and hours on wraparound deck that faces the lake. The lake is clean and very gradually deepens. It was so nice to have access to the kayaks and canoe. The owner was VERY ACCESSIBLE and helpful. One thing to note: guests must wash and dry the bed linens and towels before leaving — so as a guest, you must hustle on your last day. Not difficult, but be aware of how that will impact your timetable! Bottom line — I would return to this house in a heartbeat!

Perfection
Our second stay this year. Three days of heaven. The house has everything you need, right down to toothpicks and corn holders! The loons were active on the lake. The weather allowed us to spend days and nights on the large deck. A perfect getaway. Thank you Nancy, for your kindness. Kathy and Jim Ferrara

We had a wonderful stay, BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY!!
We had a great time, this is our second stay at this property and would certainly go back. The owners make things easy as they have all the information about the property ready for you when you arrive. The property is always immaculate and has everything one would need for your stay. We love the kayaks and spend lots of time relaxing and sitting on the beach. We would highly recommend this property!

Perfect lakefront retreat
Wow, we have been renting lake houses in New Hampshire for most of our 44 years of marriage, and this is, by far, the best one yet. Spacious interior, spotless, fully stocked with household items you usually have to bring from home. Outside: Beautiful deck with umbrella table, sandy beach, fire-pit, and song birds galore. One caveat: If renting off-season, bring heaters for the bath and bedrooms. The only heat source is a small gas fireplace in the kitchen. The owners are extremely gracious and accommodating. We will return! Kathy and Jim Hanson, MA

What a lovely home, and such responsive, kind owners. This home is on a perfect site on Swains Lake, so peaceful and beautiful. The home is well-appointed, with thoughtful tips/information for guests. I would absolutely recommend this gorgeous home.

We have lived in the NH seacoast area for 25 years and really enjoy our vacation home being so close by. We have lots of great family memories from our time spent at the lake.
We spent three years remodeling this property it inside and out to create a wonderful care-free environment in which to spend family time during three seasons.
We like the active lifestyle - swimming, boating, kayaking and canoeing - as much as lazing in the hammock or in one of the lawn/deck chairs.
Sitting around the open fire pit at night is a special way to end the day.

Why they chose this property

We love the level sandy beach and expansive views. Easy for young and old alike. The house is easy one level, open concept living.
