Bedroom with Queen Bed, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2; additional bed available cost extra)

Located in a Queen Anne Victorian in the heart of San Francisco, this location is a perfect setting for exploring the City. Visitors without cars will find a wide range of transportation options: all MUNI train lines are within a couple blocks, including the Historic F line which travels down Market Street to Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, farmer's markets, shopping, museums and more. For travelers wanting to visit Union Street, the Marina and Presidio MUNI bus service is available on the same block; the same bus runs through the Castro and Noe Valley in the other direction. Even traveling to and from the airport is just one train connection away. Rental cars are available from several ZipCar locations within a couple blocks. Cars are discouraged; save money and hassle but not having a car in San Francisco. The clean bedroom with private bath is located in a historic Queen Anne Victorian in the Duboce Triangle neighborhood with a wrought iron gate.

A Comfortable Place in a Great Location: This studio has its own exterior entrance. This studio features a comfortable queen size bed, designer sheets, a separate, private bath and separate area for coffee, microwave and supplies and a fireplace. An additional twin bed is available for an additional fee. Stroll to nearby outdoor cafes, a French bistro, a wide range of diverse bars and dance clubs, the historic Castro Theater, the historic Mission Dolores and much more.

Amenities: Your hosts will welcome you with an initial setup of fresh linens and towels and coffee, and are happy to direct you to all of the wonderful amenities San Francisco has to offer. Your hosts both speak English, and one speaks German (Deutsch), and the other speaks Mandarin and Taiwanese.

Great Stay in Castro!

  • 5 of 5
Nick and Laurence were great hosts and provide an affordable, accessible, and cozy alternative to more expensive hotels in the surrounding area! The place was clean and very close to public transportation. Newcomers to San Francisco will also benefit from the extensive "guide" put together by the hosts which list transportation details to the top attractions and restaurants in SF. I would highly recommend staying here.

Everything was perfect. The place was clean and tastefully (and cheerfully) decorated. The pictures accurate reflect the room. Nick and Laurence are gracious and helpful hosts, but not intrusive. The location is proximal to the Castro and Duboce. Given the location, the price is relatively inexpensive. I will stay here again.

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5
My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here.
Nick and Laurence were always nice and very helpful. They gave us lots of useful information. The apartment was clean , very comfortable and big enough for two. The location is convenient to go everywhere.
We also enjoyed watching a movie at Castro Theatre. That was a "sing along" event. We had a great time singing songs of "Beauty and the Beast". The theater itself is historical. There was an organ performance before the show.
We'd like to visit San Francisco again and would definitely stay here again.

If you'd like a clean, cozy, classic San Franciscio studio convenient to public transportation, near fine dining options, in walking distance to parks and interesting city neighborhoods, you'd be happy with Laurence and Nick's pretty Victorian home.
After good morning coffee, we ran the surrounding hills or practiced yoga at the nearby Yoga Tree studio. Plenty of information about the sites and sounds of the city is provided to help you plan splendid days.
Our value of a retraurant or home away from Denver is whether we would return. We will be delighted to return to this sweet studio.

Convenient and spotlessly clean!

  • 5 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in SF. Laurence and Nick were very easy to deal with. They put together a binder that gave us many great options for everying from where to eat to sights to see including maps and public transit options! The care they have taken in putting it together tells how much pride they have in the community they live in. Thank you!!
We really enjoyed our stay. The suite is lovely, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and pillows. We loved the neighbourhood too including the architecture and colourful residents! The "Squat and Gobble" was a perfect place for breakfast/lunch and a very easy walk. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the suite to family and friends.

Beautiful Apt. Excellent Location

  • 5 of 5
Stayed at this beautiful apartment in downtown San Francisco. Location was perfect for using public transportation and getting around the city. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Nick and Laurence were very helpful upon our arrival to make sure we were comfortable and took time to explain everything about apartment and areas of interest as well as how and where to catch the buses and trains to get around the city. Apartment was extremely clean. Would definitely recommend place to a friend. Thank you Nick and Laurence. We had a wonderful time. John and Paula. Marco Island Florida.
