House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 10-14)

Enjoy a retreat to the Poco Loco Ranch - 250 acres of breathtaking land, nestled in the Texas Hill County on the Guadalupe River. Just 10 minutes from Boerne, the Poco Loco Ranch is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The long meandering banks of the shaded Guadalupe River will entice you to swim, tube, splash, fish, or just enjoy the quiet solitude. For a longer jaunt, float downstream on an inner tube – the public bridge is about an hour away. Hiking, bird watching and diverse wildlife will renew your spirits. Best of all, at the end of the day lie beneath the vast skies and watch nightly shooting stars while swimming in our large new pool and enjoying our hot tub!

***NEW THIS YEAR - Wildlife Hayride with 3 night rental! See Axis and Whitetail deer, armadillos, turkey, and much more. Both daytime and evening hay rides (with spotlights) will make for a wonderful time!!!***

The Poco Loco Ranch has a rustic main house, a guest house and a fantastic separate game room. The main house has a large living room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, (2 with king size beds, and 1 with two twin size beds) and 1 ½ baths. The living room has 3 sitting areas (including 2 fold-out sofas), a large flat screen t.v., and two tables for dining. The covered front patio has two seating areas, 5 tables with chairs, 3 ceiling fans, and usually a nice breeze. There is an outdoor Grill and a Smoker for BBQ cooking and entertaining.

The guest house has a large bedroom with a sofa area, 2 queen beds, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and a small dinette.

The huge game room is spectacular. It has a beautiful antique pool table, a 22’ championship Shuffleboard table, a “Whirlwind” Pinball machine, Ping Pong table, air hockey, foos ball tables, and a sitting area with two sofas. All three structures have fireplaces and a second patio is centrally located between the ranch houses.

Onsite activities include Hayrides, BBQ cookout, bonfire, horseshoe pits, volleyball, and more.

The Poco Loco Ranch is only ten minutes from the charming antique shops and cafes of Boerne, five minutes from The Cave Without a Name, twenty minutes from Fiesta Texas, and minutes more to Sea world and the famed Riverwalk of San Antonio. To the north, the World War II Nimitz Museum and the wineries and craft shops of Fredricksburg are about 45 minutes away.

Great lodging for area weddings - Minutes from Serengeti Resort, Marquardt Ranch, Paniolo Ranch, Boerne, Bergheim, and Sisterdale.

Enjoy a “Poco Loco Ranch” experience!

Please note that to avoid warming our pool water, our spa heater will be turned off during the summer months.

Golf outing

  • 5 of 5
Everyone loved the stay at the Poco Loco. We had ten guys on a golf outing and we all loved the large game room. It was nice to play a round of golf and then relax out away from the hustle and bustle. Greatly appreciated being able to get out there early to set up and stay as late as we wanted on Sunday.

Fun, relaxing and tranquil

  • 5 of 5
This property has it all!!! Our "guys" annual golf trip group chose this property for it's accommodations and game room (which were both everything we wanted and expected) . We actually skipped a round of golf to shoot skeet and just enjoy this beautiful piece of property instead. The photos do not illustrate the beauty of this property. When we drove down to the rivers edge we were constantly stopping to take in the beauty of the rolling hills, majestic scenery and wild life. I could write a short novel on this property and our stay but it's best that you experience it for yourself. The number of bathrooms are the ONLY negative to this property and it's a "minor" inconvenience (maybe more of a concern for families certainly not for an all guys trip) but remember this home was built in the 1800's. So go soak in the history, peace, tranquility, scenery and fun because it's everywhere you look on this property as it has it all !!! I highly recommend this property for everyone that needs some good clean fun and lots of peace and quiet.

Escape from the Big City

  • 5 of 5
We recently stayed at the Poco Loco Ranch with a diverse group for a weekend in August. All of the participants had a great time. The main ranch house has the feel of being in another time period on a Texas ranch when the west was wild, with many animal trophies on display. Yet we had access to the internet and, thankfully, air conditioning and modern appliances. The patio at the main house provided plenty of room for seating our entire group, and the barbecue grill became the center of our Saturday evening activities. And that wonderful swimming pool by the bunk house proved to be the perfect place for cooling down at the end of the day. The wildlife sightings on the property were plentiful and we even saw a buck with large antlers. Despite all of the natural beauty to be enjoyed, some of our group found the gameroom to be what they enjoyed most. Either way, the Poco Loco Ranch turned out to be a great destination for our group’s retreat.

Imagine Texas Before Cities!

  • 5 of 5
Poco Loco Ranch welcomed us as a group of stressed out chemistry students from Houston and returned us home refreshed, revitalized, and ready to seize the proverbial day.
The ranch is near the small town of Boerne, a wonderful place forgotten by time, where anywhere you look there is evidence of a thriving close-knit community filled with quaint shops and interesting places to eat.
The winding roads leading to the ranch will enthrall the driving enthusiast. Passengers will be delighted by the sights of the Texas hill country along the way.
The Ranch itself is 250 acres. It encompasses a large main house, a guesthouse, a pool, a hot tub, a volleyball court, a game room/house, hiking trails, and a country road that leads to the Guadalupe river.
The main house is really a large entertaining/living space with couches and chairs with plenty of fun games lying around like Monopoly and Uno.
The main house kitchen comes equipped with a stove top (propane fueled), oven, microwave, refrigerator, kitchen island, countertops, and many more kitchen essentials. The spacious Patio offers large round tables and a propane grill. Hammocks line the front of the house and are nestled under a long porch stoop. I personally chose to wrap myself up to sleep in one of them and slept comfortably.
The guest house has a smaller, cozier kitchen with a stovetop, refrigerator, and large counter space. The guest house also has a vanity area with a sink and large mirror and one large room with a couch and two queen-sized beds.
The game room offers several gaming options such as a pool table, foosball table, ping pong table, air hockey, and shuffle board; just to name a few. There is also a sitting/living area in the game room.
But if you take away the pool, hot tub, game room, the Ranch in and of itself is an awesome place. You can see the stars at night. You can go for hikes by the river. You can see what Texas looked like before there were cities.
The ranch has an old time rustic aura/feeling about it with a modern twist. I say modern in that we had a swimming pool, electricity, running/hot water, all of the rooms were properly air conditioned, and we had modern ways of cooking and storing our food. I believe this is as close as a city dweller can get to experiencing life on the ranch and I highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone in search of their next vacation hotspot.

Well-needed rest at the Poco Loco Ranch

  • 5 of 5
Our group of ~20 enjoyed a restful retreat from the busy city of Houston. This quiet and peaceful location boasts beautiful views in all directions, and we happened upon many deer, a few cows, and even a group of llamas!
The main and guest houses were spacious and equipped to provide for a comfortable visit, even television and internet, but we hardly had time for electronics, and went exploring, game-room playing, and poolside conversing, instead.
With its rustic charm, Poco Loco provided a wonderful getaway, and I’m sure the entire group would love to come back in the future.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5
My recent visit to the Poco Loco Ranch was just fantastic. The place is really clean and well maintained. I enjoyed the facilities they have on the property like the game room and the swimming pool. Having said that, my favorite moment was taking a walk on the back road to the Guadalupe River at night and seeing all the deer running around. All and all, if you are tired of the hectic city life, and you want a relaxing weekend, then the Poco Loco Ranch should be your destination.
