Enjoy a retreat to the Poco Loco Ranch - 250 acres of breathtaking land, nestled in the Texas Hill County on the Guadalupe River. Just 10 minutes from Boerne, the Poco Loco Ranch is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The long meandering banks of the shaded Guadalupe River will entice you to swim, tube, splash, fish, or just enjoy the quiet solitude. For a longer jaunt, float downstream on an inner tube – the public bridge is about an hour away. Hiking, bird watching and diverse wildlife will renew your spirits. Best of all, at the end of the day lie beneath the vast skies and watch nightly shooting stars while swimming in our large new pool and enjoying our hot tub!
***NEW THIS YEAR - Wildlife Hayride with 3 night rental! See Axis and Whitetail deer, armadillos, turkey, and much more. Both daytime and evening hay rides (with spotlights) will make for a wonderful time!!!***
The Poco Loco Ranch has a rustic main house, a guest house and a fantastic separate game room. The main house has a large living room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, (2 with king size beds, and 1 with two twin size beds) and 1 ½ baths. The living room has 3 sitting areas (including 2 fold-out sofas), a large flat screen t.v., and two tables for dining. The covered front patio has two seating areas, 5 tables with chairs, 3 ceiling fans, and usually a nice breeze. There is an outdoor Grill and a Smoker for BBQ cooking and entertaining.
The guest house has a large bedroom with a sofa area, 2 queen beds, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and a small dinette.
The huge game room is spectacular. It has a beautiful antique pool table, a 22’ championship Shuffleboard table, a “Whirlwind” Pinball machine, Ping Pong table, air hockey, foos ball tables, and a sitting area with two sofas. All three structures have fireplaces and a second patio is centrally located between the ranch houses.
Onsite activities include Hayrides, BBQ cookout, bonfire, horseshoe pits, volleyball, and more.
The Poco Loco Ranch is only ten minutes from the charming antique shops and cafes of Boerne, five minutes from The Cave Without a Name, twenty minutes from Fiesta Texas, and minutes more to Sea world and the famed Riverwalk of San Antonio. To the north, the World War II Nimitz Museum and the wineries and craft shops of Fredricksburg are about 45 minutes away.
Great lodging for area weddings - Minutes from Serengeti Resort, Marquardt Ranch, Paniolo Ranch, Boerne, Bergheim, and Sisterdale.
Enjoy a “Poco Loco Ranch” experience!
Please note that to avoid warming our pool water, our spa heater will be turned off during the summer months.

Another Great Time at the Poco Loco
Fun, relaxing and tranquil
Escape from the Big City
Imagine Texas Before Cities!
The ranch is near the small town of Boerne, a wonderful place forgotten by time, where anywhere you look there is evidence of a thriving close-knit community filled with quaint shops and interesting places to eat.
The winding roads leading to the ranch will enthrall the driving enthusiast. Passengers will be delighted by the sights of the Texas hill country along the way.
The Ranch itself is 250 acres. It encompasses a large main house, a guesthouse, a pool, a hot tub, a volleyball court, a game room/house, hiking trails, and a country road that leads to the Guadalupe river.
The main house is really a large entertaining/living space with couches and chairs with plenty of fun games lying around like Monopoly and Uno.
The main house kitchen comes equipped with a stove top (propane fueled), oven, microwave, refrigerator, kitchen island, countertops, and many more kitchen essentials. The spacious Patio offers large round tables and a propane grill. Hammocks line the front of the house and are nestled under a long porch stoop. I personally chose to wrap myself up to sleep in one of them and slept comfortably.
The guest house has a smaller, cozier kitchen with a stovetop, refrigerator, and large counter space. The guest house also has a vanity area with a sink and large mirror and one large room with a couch and two queen-sized beds.
The game room offers several gaming options such as a pool table, foosball table, ping pong table, air hockey, and shuffle board; just to name a few. There is also a sitting/living area in the game room.
But if you take away the pool, hot tub, game room, the Ranch in and of itself is an awesome place. You can see the stars at night. You can go for hikes by the river. You can see what Texas looked like before there were cities.
The ranch has an old time rustic aura/feeling about it with a modern twist. I say modern in that we had a swimming pool, electricity, running/hot water, all of the rooms were properly air conditioned, and we had modern ways of cooking and storing our food. I believe this is as close as a city dweller can get to experiencing life on the ranch and I highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone in search of their next vacation hotspot.
Well-needed rest at the Poco Loco Ranch
The main and guest houses were spacious and equipped to provide for a comfortable visit, even television and internet, but we hardly had time for electronics, and went exploring, game-room playing, and poolside conversing, instead.
With its rustic charm, Poco Loco provided a wonderful getaway, and I’m sure the entire group would love to come back in the future.
