Our property is ideally located in San Diego's prestigious Mission Hills neighborhood on the border of Little Italy and Banker's Hill and walking distance to museums, dining, shopping, Balboa Park, and much more.

The floor to ceiling bay windows offer 180 degree panoramic view of Coronado Island, the San Diego Bay, and AMAZING sunsets that will surely have you saying 'WOW'!

Located on the first level of a recently remodeled duplex, it has a wonderful 1250 sq ft open floor plan, modern decor, upgraded kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The perfect place to come home home to after a long day of sight seeing!

There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super comfy King bed, private half bath and large walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a large closet and beautiful canopy queen bed.

Sleeps 4 - 12 people: 4 comfortably with huge king-size bed in master bedroom and queen sized bed in second bedroom (no futons, couches, or other improvised sleeping arrangements). Deluxe queen air mattress available for additional guests. Need a larger home for up to 12 people? No problem!! You can rent the entire house (two homes which are connected by a door and staircase...ask for details)

Bay view 1 - Amazing rental!!

Our stay at bay view 1 was great! We did not need the staffs assistance throughout our time there but was nice to know they were just a call away if we needed anything. We had more than plenty of towels and toiletries. The amenities the home offered were perfect. We used the kitchen daily, and the outdoor grill quite a few times. Location was close enough to desired areas and we actually thought it was very cool watching the planes come in and out of the airport (portion of the view out back) The noise was not a bother.

Overall we had no complaints, it is a very lovely home and we would love to contact Rental With a View again for any future trips to San Diego.

Owner's Response: We sincerely appreciate Britney's glowing review and sharing her experience with other travelers. As she mentioned, not only is the home centrally located, it has great views of the bay and YES, the air port. As all guests mention, don't let the proximity scare you. One of the high lights is watching them land over the bay. Our home is NOT located in the flight path and all windows and doors have acoustically rated dual-pane windows to practically keep out the ambient noise.

Girls trip - perfect stay!

We absolutely loved staying in your rental during our recent stay in San Diego! We found the location to be IDEAL, loving that we could quickly make it to old town, gaslamp, little italy, literally ANYWHERE!

As for the home, what a deal! We were able to stay for the same price we would have paid in a nice studio hotel room with SO much more space and little luxuries. We loved the convenience of two large bathrooms, comfy beds, the amazing grey, large couch (which would LOVE to know where it was purchased) and endless hours of watching airplanes land, oh, and not to forget to mention THAT VIEW.

We would, without hesitation, be back in a Rental with a View property if visiting San Diego again. You've thought of everything down to the details like forgotten bath products, morning coffee supplies, laundry detergent and a full spice rack. We really could not have asked for more! Thanks for opening your home to us!

San Diego Anniversary

Hey Michelle,
We had a great time.We were there for a couple days of business followed by celebrating our 29th wedding Anniversary.
We have found when we travel that its a much better experience when you stay in a non hotel setting and this was no
exception. Having our own vacation rental home as well as a 45 year old family business we can tell when someone cares
about their customer and what customer service is all about.
The house was clean well taken care of and comfortable.We appreciated some of the small things like an ice chest that we used on a day trip to Temecula while wine tasting.The instruction book
that you put together was also helpful.The only issues that we had was with the up stairs noise. It's not unbearable by any means
you can just hear every foot step they make ,as well as,when they have music turned up. My wife and I both agreed when we return
we will probably try the upstairs unit for a comparison.
It was overall one of the best properties and trips we've had in recent year and we look forward to returning. If you ever have the need to visit Sonoma County wineries and the North Coast beaches we would appreciate the opportunity to share our Vacation home in Bodega Bay.

like a hotel, but better

This place is immaculate. Unlike some home away rentals, this appears to be run more like a business rather than someone renting a second home to make a bit of extra cash on the side. They clearly take it seriously. It's beautifully finished, spotlessly clean, bright, modern and comfortable. It's also a short walk to the metro so you can easily navigate around the city. So why only four stars? The sole reason is the proximity to the airport. Not that there's anything wrong with that in itself, but the description (in my opinion) doesn't give a true representation of how close it actually is. It's practically on the doorstep. This wasn't a problem for me - I kind of enjoyed watching the planes taking off and landing, but if you're not prepared for it, it might come as a bit of a surprise. And sitting out on the patio won't offer the kind of peace and quiet you might otherwise have expected - it's noisy out there! Either way, it didn't put me off and I'd definitely rent this place again. It's a gem and I'd be happy to recommend it to fellow travellers (pending full disclosure about the airport! ).

Just as Chris mentioned the the proximity to the airport didn't bother him, read all our reviews to see our guests are pleasantly surprised that the airport is not disturbing. The home is located to the East of the airport and you have amazing views of the City, Bay, and Airport runway (not in the flight path). The home was recently retrofitted with acoustically rated dual pane windows, which nearly reduces the ambient noise when you are inside the home.

San Diego is an urban city, with all major transportation hubs located in the city center (train station and airport). In any urban core, you can expect to hear outdoor noise, (Trains, Planes, and automobiles). With the AMAZING VIEWs comes the "beats of the city" but this is one of our best, most unique features that guests rave about.

Our rental agreement does mention this so all guests are informed. We look forward to hosting you!!

A house truly worth all the hype!!

This house exceeded my expectations by far! When I first arrived the house was extremely clean and put together. It did not feel like a rental, very open and welcoming. The amenities provided in the house also were great. We were able to eat at home a few nights to save some money because everything we would have needed, was provided !! Michelle really does think of every type of cooking need/want. When we'd get back from being out, we would sit on the patio and look at the view. It's almost hypnotizing!! The area it is located in is great ! Every single place we wanted to go to, it was any longer than a 10-15 minute drive. The house was a great addition to an awesome trip. We loved San Diego and we loved your rental house. If we are ever in the area again, we have already agreed this is our place of choice! Thank you again Michelle for the great experience!!!

Owner's Response: Anna's family had 5 adults at the house. It comfortably sleeps 4 adults (2 bedrooms) and we provide a deluxe queen air mattress for the extra guests. We truly try to make the house your "home-away-from-home" and continue to add amenities to fit the evolving needs of travelers. The location is one of the best in San Diego: the home is located 5-10 minutes drive to the top attractions, beaches, museums, downtown, Zoo, Sea World, Little Italy, Banker's Hill to name a few.

Nice apt home!

This home was a wonderful place for us to stay. It was close to the conference center and downtown for my work trip but also nearby to tourist activities for the rest of my family. The rental itself is very nicely remodeled, comfortable, and very clean. It made our business trip/vacation to San Diego fun and easy!

Owner's Response: Rachel and her family came for a conference. Our home is located 5 minutes to downtown and the conference center is easily accessed by car or the trolley (which is located a block away). The home is ideally located near all San Diego's top attractions for children and we are happy she got to enjoy San Diego in between her work.
