The Pipa Beach is a famous beach located in the municipality of Tibau do Sul, getting 85 km from Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. It is the main resort in the South Coast of the state, which includes beaches such as Ponta do Madeley and Lover's Beach. The most atypical and endemic feature of this tropical paradise is the junction between towering dunes superposed on the horizon over the trays that end in cliffs geo-morphologically alive by the action of the sea and winds; not known elsewhere in the world where the coastline of dunes and sedimentary cliffs to recombine so spectacularly with a dense green that comes to take falesiana front.
On the beach
Initially it was a sleepy fishing village, very calm, quiet, until frequented by surfers and soon tourists from all parts of the planet. It is famous for having one of the busiest nights of the state, has a large number of hotels, inns, hostels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and is always full, whether in high or low season.
Pipa is still a place that attracts many surfers due to its waves, and recently has also been sought by kite surfers, thanks to the combination of beautiful waves and good winds.
The name 'kite' is due to the fact that the Portuguese ship passing through nearby spotted a rock that resembled a shape of a kite. Pipa, in Portugal, is the more usual name for a barrel of wine or oil,  so the stone reminded.

Praia de Pipa, in all its length, is defined as an area of sea turtle conservation under Resolution No.10 of 24/10/1996, the National Environment Council (CONAMA). 
It is clarified that the name Pipa is most well known by locals and the inhabitants of the state's population, while the name Pipa is most well known by tourists.
The beach also conducts an annual Gastronomic Festival of Pipa.
