About the Owner

Our family totally owns and manages our chalet personally. My husband and I have owned this property since 2000. We both grew up and went to school in Georgia where we currently live.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a great time on our trip, the chalet is very nice and seemed to be very clean. We liked the quietness and privacy of the location. Thank you for promptly taking care of the issue we had. We would love to visit your place again in the future.

Beautiful and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at the Love Nest in early August for four days. The weather was fantastic, and we had a great time. The cabin was cozy and inviting, a real home away from home. Tucked away in the mountains, it provided us with much appreciated privacy and peace. It was nice to see Gatlinburg and the crowds during the day but even better to get back to the Love Nest at night. The best part of the cabin was the front deck with its rocking chairs and grill area. How wonderful it was to eat breakfast in the sunshine overlooking the mountains! I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Nice and Quiet

  • 4 of 5
We took our 8 month old and my parents for a getaway over the 4th of July. (For anyone curious, you cannot see the fireworks.) We had plenty of space for sleeping, crib fit perfectly next to the sink in the queen room. Thought it was a bit odd to have the jacuzzi tub in the living room for all to see (Owners, I recommend adding a shower curtain). The porch was a hit, saw no bears (count is down from last year according to a ranger). Enjoyed the hot tub, chemicals were a bit strong (but they are anywhere you go). Slept pretty good on both beds, would definitely recommend this to anyone! the owners are quick to help if you have any questions

Great Location, Comfortable Cabin

  • 5 of 5
We had a great time here. The chalet is roomy and comfortable. The front deck was my favorite place, with its rockers, sunshine and view of the mountains. You feel like you're in the woods, but it's literally minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg and Pidgeon Forge. Easy access to the park, of course. Also right up the hill from a shuttle bus stop; couldn't be more convenient.

Great Trip

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I have rented "The Love Nest" on three separate occasions. The first was in August 2013. We loved it so much that we went back in September 2013 and again May 2nd - May 10th 2014. I'm ready to go back now.

It's very peaceful to wake up and sit on the deck and just listen to mother nature. We also saw bears each time we stayed.

The Love Nest is well maintained and very clean. We always cooked breakfast and then planned out our day. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a must see, as well as Cade's Cove. There is something for everyone of all ages to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We discovered "The Island", which is fairly new, where we rode a Ferris Wheel, sat and watched an active water fountain that is synchronized to music.

I definitely recommend "The Love Nest", and Pat and William are wonderful people to rent from.

We'll be back soon!

Convienent and Secluded

  • 3 of 5
My husband and I rented this cabin for our 1 year wedding anniversary. It was very private and secluded; it didn't have close neighbors, which we liked. It is about a 7 minute drive up the mountain from the Gatlinburg Visitors Center, located in between PF and Gatlinburg. Very close to all attractions. Beautiful view of the mountains from the deck. The owner was very polite, responsive, and helpful as I had to call with a question. Ammenities of the cabin were as descirbed. However, the property and cabin itself could use a little attention. Gutters were full of sticks, grill grate was dirty, some rugs were torn (as if an animal chewed on them), and hot tub had grimy dirt in it- but not enough to detur us from using it. It also had a VERY STRONG chlorine ordor which hurt our lungs when the jets were on. Jets are not very powerful as you would expect in a hot tub, the tub inside had stronger ones although still weak. Overall, we had a nice experience here and was worth the price we paid for the time of year.

Owner's Response: I am puzzled at the guest response. Since they had such a great time what are all the complaints about. There have been extreme winds that might be the cause of the sticks in the gutter and our cleaning group have an impeccable reputation. I haven't seen the rugs however I will get that addressed and replaced if necessary. We strive to please our guests with a welcoming and clean place to stay. I wish the guests had notified me instead of posting this in their review so I could have had someone check it while they were there.

Amazing stay!!

  • 5 of 5
My boyfriend and I stay here for three nights in April and had a fantastic time! The cabin was clean, well furnished, and beautifully decorated. It was very private and comfortable. The location is excellent as well. It is actually in the Smoky Moutains park, and very close to the Gatlinburg Welcome Center. The trolley has a stop in the park; cheap and fun to ride! We had no trouble finding the chalet, and discovered that we were equal distance from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, so it was very convenient. However, the drive up to the cabin is a very winding one with a very steep driveway. We had no problem with my front-wheel drive but I would consider taking a 4WD if possible, especially in the winter. I highly recommend this rental and look forward to staying again soon. Thank you, Pat, for your hospitality!

Location

From the Owner

We came to the Gatlinburg area on our honeymoon in 1992 and fell in love with it. We stayed in a chalet at that time and decided then that someday we wanted to own one of our own. So we were able to buy the Love Nest in 2000. We also always wanted a property that had a view and this one just appealed to us.

We are just minutes away from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and conveniently located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We are close to restaurants, shopping or just doing nothing. The trolly picks up at the bottom of the mountain from our cabin with places to park at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center and just jump on and ride into Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. The Love Nest is a secluded Chalet for your privacy with the hot tub on the deck. Romance, anniversary or family vacations are perfect here. Amenities

From the Owner

One of the most unique features in this house is the large jacuzzi inside and the hot tub on the deck. The hot tub seats 4 people easily in the quietness of the secluded surroundings. It is so peaceful inside and out. We love the views.
