Adequate but not charming

  • 3 of 5
The description is a little misleading in that there are 3 rental units in the one building. The one we stayed in had a kitchen and living room downstairs. The master bedroom with bathroom was on the second floor accessed by a spiral staircase. The other bedroom with 3 beds was on the third floor accessed by another spiral staircase from the second floor landing. There was no bathroom on the third floor. One had to go into the master bedroom to get to the bathroom on the second floor or go to the first floor and use the half bath off of the kitchen. The living room had 2 black cloth-covered futons and a coffee table. No other seating. The kitchen/dining area was adequate. Interstate noise was very noticeable when the windows were open. The property was clean and beds were comfortable. Kitchen had the basics but no coffee maker. There was a pile of tools on the kitchen counter. The place was bare bones with little in the way of decor. Guess with many people and all of their clutter it wouldn't feel so bare. The parking situation was confusing. It would be helpful if the owner would email a diagram of where to park and where to enter the property. In spite of emails and phone calls prior to arriving, there was a little confusion over arrival day and getting the key took a few phone calls. The deposit was promptly refunded upon request. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and found the place to be adequate to meet our needs.

Excellent Memorial Weekend

  • 5 of 5
I visited this place with 10 friends of mine to spend memorial long weekend. Overall, my time here was nothing but excellent. The house is located close to the interstate exit, had everything that we needed to cook, located very close to all the hiking routes, and most of all is extremely quiet, which enabled us to feel like we are actually away from busy city life. The owner of the property, Mehdi, was very gentle and kind. I was able to reserve the cabin despite the 2 days notice. The manager, Polo, was very nice in preparing the cabin ready for us. After the weekend was over, I received the deposit back in timely manner. I highly recommend this place to people who want to spend some great time with their friends over the weekend.

Great Fun!!!

  • 5 of 5
We had a great time at this cabin for the second time in two consecutive years! We stayed for a week both times. The cabin is huge, three levels and very clean and comfortable. The pictures on this web site are outdated. There are comfortable brown leather couches in living room , a comfortable double futon couch/bed , a flat screen TV and plenty of comfortable Beds for a large group. Everything is with-in walking distance ,the slopes, the pro sledding hill and there is also sledding around the cabin. All of the appliances worked for us and there were 0 broken chairs. The place was perfect! It was great fun to wake up and watch the cars filling the parking lot as we took our time getting ready to hit the slopes. If you like the snow and wear boots it is no problem carrying the bags up the snowy pathway to the cabin!

Could have been better

  • 2 of 5
First there is no parking spot at the cabin. You have to walk all your stuff up a slippery hill to get to the cabin. The microwave and fireplace did not work. Several of the dining room chairs were broken or had been glued back together and weren't in good shape. There are many cosmetic flaws and the t.v. in the main room is small. The t.v. in the bedroom had no cable and was even smaller. The noise from the people renting the other rooms was very disturbing. The location is good and close to the slopes you just have to go up and down the hill from the cabin. I would recommend spending a little more to get a better cabin.
