(The below verbiage is primarily written for 'high season' here, but I've posted it as it is detailed and helps you understand the property better. Please note that we are able to discount our summer rates to you as we cut back some high-season amenities and can pass that savings onto you.)
SILVER SANDS RACQUET CLUB:
This can be an extremely difficult community to get into, therefore, it is often booked a year in advance, usually by repeat clientele. Many who rent seasonally here have friends who live within the community. If you are reading this after high season, you probably are finding that this development is fully booked, or close, for next season. That's the way it goes in Silver Sands.
One of Palm Desert's nicest guard-gated communities with plenty of pools/spas/tennis courts w/Clubhouse and fitness center/gym, this 2 Bedroom/2 Bath ONE-LEVEL FREESTANDING house/condo offers an incredibly quiet and private location as it is located on a corner lot with no neighbors across the street or next door.
Caddy-corner from 'Desert Willows Golf Resort' Public Golf Course, contiguous to the Marriott Desert Springs Resort, just a couple of signals from two major shopping centers, near Bristol Farms and Sherman's Deli, Ralph's and Albertsons, Morton's Steakhouse, and SO much more! Everything is nearby to make your stay convenient and pleasant. In a guard-gated development called, 'Silver Sands Racquet Club', located on Country Club Drive at Portola Avenue--truly prime Palm Desert location. There is a state-of-the-art Urgent Care Center only a few signals away, the Paramedics are located literally across the street from our main entry, and world-reknown Eisenhower Medical Center is less than 5 minutes of Silver Sands Racquet Club.
Home has always been a NON-smoking home since it was built! BRIGHT and OPEN with high ceilings in living area (ceiling fans in every room.) Bedrooms are identical in size (DUAL MASTER SUITES), EACH bedroom has a California king-sized bed (picture does not yet reflect new CA King Bed in 2nd bedroom.) There are smaller TV's in both bedrooms. One bathroom has an easy access, walk-in wide shower with a convenient large built-in seat. One bathroom has a walk-in closet with convenient shelving for shoes and accessories. Cream colored leather couches and oversized chair with ottoman in living room are super comfy, all surrounding large coffee table. Very large television above fireplace that is easily visible from entire living area. Dining table with upholstered chairs, counter bar for convenient eating with bar stools. Kitchen is equipped with new crystal stemware, glassware, flatware--two sets of dishes for variety, colorful/quality unbreakable dishware w/matching glasses. All the pots and pans you'll need to whip up a meal. Kitchen tools and all the accessories we could anticipate for your needs. An elevated microwave for ease of use, toaster oven, blender, coffee maker, electric water kettle for my Canadian and British friends, Cappuccino Machine for my Italian friends or Italian wanna-be's, --I could go on and on, but you get the idea. We're also open to hearing what you might need in the kitchen that makes your stay more convenient...just let us know. There are some basic seasonings supplied to get you going. Original signed artwork and tasteful accessories add to the bright and happy atmosphere. Private Patio boasts citrus trees, Propane BBQ, Cushioned Loveseat/2 Swivel Cushioned Chairs/Coffee Table, 2 Side Tables, 2 Cushioned Chaise Lounges w/Table, 6 Matching Stackable Chairs with foldable 48' round table for exterior dining use whenever you wish to dine 'al fresco.' A side by side washer and dryer are provided complete with laundry supplies for your convenience.
There are mountain views from the living area. Lots of greenbelt with homes nicely separated from each other as it is an extremely low-density community which makes this particular development highly desirable. Add to that being on a corner across from the Marriott Desert Springs Resort and that adds up to an enormous amount of privacy in a super-peaceful and quiet setting.
Home has been very well maintained by long-time owners who live nearby in Indian Wells just 7 minutes away. Pride of Ownership property. This is, and has always been, a NON-smoking home. We go to a lot of trouble to provide an extremely clean property for your comfort--just ask our guests. We take good care of our property and hope our guests appreciate that and reciprocate. We appreciate your leaving it for us upon departure in similar condition.

People who do rent in Silver Sands Racquet Club are notorious for returning to 'SSRC' season after season and book a year in advance. It is almost always booked throughout the season as there are a limited number of homes available for rent. Mostly full-timers live here, therefore, it feels less like a rental and more like a home.
Silver Sands Racquet Club is a wonderful gated community offering privacy not usually found in a condo development. There are 15 pools, 8 beautiful lighted tennis courts, a wonderful new gym with high end equipment, and a newly-expanded club house. There is an on-site tennis pro and tennis program available from October to May. Numerous club activities take place throughout the season and keep you as busy as you want to be.

“HANDY HINT: Every single year it seems Silver Sands, in particular, is a very hard community to get into for 'Season.' If you have any desire to make Silver Sands your home for the season, whether it is our home or someone else's, I strongly recommend you make your reservation a year or more in advance--no kidding! Most savvy landlords have learned, by mistake that they cannot let out March alone as booking any time frame in the middle of the season will make it exceedingly difficult to rent out the remainder of time before and after March. I suggest if you wish March, you tag on April, or rent January through March. That will increase your chances of getting March from the overwhelming number of landlords that will not do March alone.”
