Enjoy unobstructed views of Maalaea Bay while sitting on the lanai, working in the kitchen or even lounging on the couch. We love our ground floor unit because we can savor our oceanfront setting without having to look over or around railings. The atmosphere at Maalaea is peaceful and relaxed. A five minute walk in one direction takes you to the undeveloped beauty of Sugar Beach, five miles of white sand with the ocean on one side and Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge on the other; perfect for your morning run or a quiet meditative walk. A short walk in the other direction leads you to Maalaea Harbor, launching point for many water adventures including whale watching, snorkeling, and salt water fishing. This is home to the Maui Ocean Center and several excellent restaurants which offer a wide assortment of dining and drinks. When you’re rested and ready for adventure, Maalaea’s central location allows you to easily reach most of Maui’s famous locations. The Maalaea Banyans has been our favorite vacation spot for many years. Experiencing the sights and sounds of the ocean from the comfort of your own lanai is incredibly relaxing; your troubles will melt away.

Wonderful setting for relaxing vacation!

Quiet, ground-floor location with great views and sandy beach within walking distance. Location made it easy to get to shopping areas and tourist venues. The condo is comfortably furnished and just as described. Everything you need is provided -- whether you're planning a day on the beach or just sitting on the patio. If you want to cook, the kitchen is fully furnished or you can choose to walk to local shops and restaurants. We found the owners responsive and very helpful. I hope we have a chance to return!

Just loved our stay in this ground floor condo

Exactly as described and as in the photos, this condo is very comfy with wonderful views and access directly to the shoreline. We found the owners very easy to work with, we felt confident with the booking and loved the whole experience. Located away from the busier areas this condo would suit someone looking for a very chilled relaxed holiday.

Central location, Quiet and comfortable.

We stayed a week here, the best thing was to just walk out side and you were on the lawn, just steps from the ocean. The sound of the waves put you to sleep and wake you in the morning. Folding chairs, coolers, towels, everything we needed to look like locals at Sugar Beach. It was great. Central location was important too. Kihei is close by, we recommend Coconuts for take out so you can eat and drink on the cheap at the condo. Times supermarket in Kihei was the best for food and drink as well. Plenty of parking, recycling area was impressive, amazing how many things can be recycled. We saw whales breach from the Lanai, turtles coming up for air by the shore, our own condo Gecko made regular visits and we never used the air conditioner, it was perfect. We could not have been happier with our choice of a place to stay on Maui. MAUI NO KA'OI. Maui is the best.

FABULOUS BEACH FRONT CONDO

This condo was everything we were hoping it would be. The views of the ocean are fantastic and the grounds are very tropical and beautifully maintained. What you see in the pictures is exactly what it looks like. We really loved being on the ground floor just steps to the beach where we watched sea turtles every evening, and caught glimpses of whales. Our favorite thing was having coffee on our lanai each morning and watching the beautiful sunrises over Haleakala. We used the pool, hot tub and grilled out a couple of nights. The unit is clean and the kitchen well stocked. We really appreciated having beach chairs, a cooler and beach towels to take along on our excursions, and then a washer/dryer to clean everything up. Ma'alaea is very peaceful and relaxing, not as hectic as Lahina or Wailea. The property is centrally located with easy access to all parts of the island. Brian, the owner was very responsive and easy to work with, and answered all of our questions. We loved our stay here and are looking forward to our next trip, and would recommend it to our friends and family.

The condo was exactly as advertised. Close to everything and the beachfront was amazing. We enjoyed seeing the whales and turtles every morning and sitting outside with our coffee. The condo was clean and is well maintained and the owners were very helpful in communicating with us before our trip. We highly recommend this rental if you are going to be in Maui.

Peaceful Paradise!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Maalaea Banyans! This trip almost didn't happen as our original condo was cancelled the day before we were to arrive. We found Brian and he was so helpful in getting us booked less than 24 hours before our arrival. The property is very well maintained and view is incredible - sunrise over Haleakala every morning, steps to the ocean. The unit was clean and has a well stocked kitchen, we cooked and used the BBQ. It was great to walk right out the sliding doors to the yard, steps to the pool and hot-tub and the ocean. We snorkeled from our own private beach! The property is centrally located and very peaceful :)
The owner, Brian, was very responsive (especially with such a short lead time!) and friendly!
We would recommend this property to others and would stay here again.
Our only criticisms would include the bedding (the sheets are well worn and should be replaced,) and there was only 1 blanket for both the bed and pull-out couch.
In addition, the 2 beach umbrellas provided are broken.

We loved our stay here and look forward to our next trip to Maui.

We love Maalaea's quiet laid back atmosphere. The beach is seldom crowded and Hauoli St. is a dead end road with very little traffic, so our walks to the beach or the restaurants are very relaxing. We like the ground floor unit because we can enjoy the view without having to look over or around the railings.

This condo unit is 100% oceanfront; 80 feet to the water's edge. The unit is centrally located along a quiet street. A short 5 minute walk in one direction leads to Sugar Beach, 5 miles of white sand with the ocean on one side and the Lealia Pond Wildlife Refuge on the inland side for the first 2.5 miles. A 10 minute walk in the other direction leads to Maalaea Harbor where excursion boats, 6 restaurants and the Maui Ocean Center can be found. The condo complex has beautiful grounds with a pool, jacuzzi and bbq area near the ocean's edge.

The whale watching is fabulous. Sugar Beach is perfect for morning runs and we enjoy being able to walk to restaurants; especially for Happy Hour. We can heartily recommend all the restaurants at Maalaea Harbor. The aquarium is a must see, consider buying the week pass so you visit more than once during your stay. The General Store at the Harbor and the Trading Post on Hauloli St. both offer a good selection of food items if you forgot something at the grocery store.
