Visit the website see link below for over 50 pictures and more detailed information. There isn't another home like this for rent on a short term basis in Downtown San Diego. This is a single family home with a private attached garage. The address is 837 10th Ave, San Diego, CA 92101 . It was designed by a well-known San Diego Architect and a Las Vegas Interior Designer, using only high-end finishes and materials. No expense was spared! The entire home was gutted from top to bottom and was never intended to be a vacation rental. It was finished to be a unique second home. I If you choose to rent from me, know the little details will be taken care of. There will be coffee, shampoo, conditioner, soap, laundry and dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. provided for your stay. This may sound like common sense, but I stay in vacation rentals often and I am amazed at how the small things get overlooked even in expensive rentals. My goal is not to meet your expectations, but to exceed them. It is easy to make a place look great in a couple of photos, but there will be no unpleasant surprises here. Look at this list of features that follows!

2 bedrooms/3 bathrooms - 3 unique levels, 1,177 Sq Ft (plus patio and garage), 63' Plasma in main room,500-Watt Surround Sound w/ ipod dock, Wii with games including Guitar Hero - 2 guitars,Blue Ray DVD Player with Internet, Premium cable with DVR, Wireless Network, Complete work desk with Dell XPS computer for your use dual monitors, printer, scanner, etc, 37' LCD TVs in both bedrooms, California king bed in master, Queen Murphy bed in downstairs room, New Simmons Beautyrest mattresses, Full-Size Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer, Master Bath with rain shower/body sprays, Westin Hotel's dual-head shower heads in both showers, Commercial cooking range, Top of the line infrared gas grill on patio, High-end window coverings including black-out shades in both bedrooms

Note: The garage will accommodate vehicles up to 200 inches long which is 95% of vehicles, it will not fit a Suburban or Lincoln Town Car etc.

About the Owner

I purchased this home as a second home with no intention of renting of it. I completely gutted it and it took over a year and a half to complete the extensive remodel which include everything from flooring, paint, new kitchen, bathroom addition, doors, fixtures, art, furniture etc. Close attention was paid to every detail. I have rented many vacation properties and been disappointed, there will be no disappointments here.

Perfect vacation rental with all your amenities

We stayed here for a bachelorette party so we could be walking distance to the Gaslamp at night. One day we walked, and one day we used uber but regardless it was a convenient location. The home was just as pictured with so many details thought out including notes/instructions on where or how to use things. The master bedroom bed was AMAZING and a great night of sleep. Every inch of this house has been upgraded and thought through. The garage fit my Jeep Grand Cherokee which was nice to have that off the street. Loved the keyless entry so that we could come and go and not have to all be together with a key. The owner was very responsive on any question I had. Would rent here again if the need arose. Slightly noisy if you slept on the first or second floor with traffic but there's ear plugs provided if you need them.

Great place to stay

A colleague and I stayed in this great place for a week while attending a conference at the convention center. The walk to/from the convention center was a quick walk with plenty to see along the way.

The condo was great, very clean, great kitchen, really great place. I would highly recommend this condo.

There is an Albertsons grocery store a few blocks away to stock up the kitchen for the week as well.

The owner was great to work with as well.

Again, if you need a place to stay in downtown SD this is the place!

Wonderful time in the Gaslamp!

We have used VRBO multiple times in a variety of locations: San Francisco, Telluride, Portland, Moab, San Diego. JD's row home in the San Diego Gaslamp district has been the nicest of any I have stayed at thus far. Professionally decorated in a very urban and cool vibe, fantastic location, with every attention to detail taken care of to make your stay enjoyable. I especially loved the coded keyless entry, which allowed my son the freedom to walk to the clubbing scene nearby without fear of losing a key. We visited friends on Coronado Island and Mission Beach/PB do the beach stuff, surfing, sailing. (The home's central location to all freeway access made this very easy.) Some nights we just made a nice dinner and picked up movies from Redbox. Very nice with the large flat screen TV with surround sound, and practical instructions on how to set it. Having a secured, off street garage is a plus. We had no problem with our Prius, but I would pay attention to the size car you bring. I will definitely rent this again when I visit San Diego!

Excellent stay!

I stayed with my colleague during the ATS conference and it was just as the pictures showed! It was lovely and clean(especially compared to some hotels I have stayed in!). The only slight issue we had was being locked out of the house on check out day (codes had changed), luckily we had the agency number in an old email so we managed to sort it out to get in and get our bags! This wasn't a major issue and in fact loved the fact we had a key code (no hassle with keys and it felt extra secure!) Other than that no issues! And actually would recommend this place to everyone!! It is exactly as you see!! The owner has dealt with every little need and especially loved the little notes around house on how to use things! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Great location/fantastic house

Highly recommend this row house right outside the Gas Lamp district. Walked to the waterfront and Petco Park for a Padres game. Garage truly fits a vehicle no larger than small SUV. Clean, as advertised, and attentive owner. Enjoyed our stay!

I have 2006 4runner and have parked an Honda Odyssey mini-van as well. It will not fit a Suburban, Lincoln Town Car etc. It does take someone guiding you in on larger vehicles.

Outstanding experience in San Diego

My party of four came down from Los Angeles on the Amtrak train. The row home was a very short cab right away from the Santa Fe downtown train station, and would've been easily walkable with just a backpack. The electronic lock was simple to operate and illuminated the common rental issue of needing to find a key somewhere. We were delighted to see that the place was literally exactly like the pictures when we went inside. The entire description was very accurate, and the flattering photos presented here actually are a very real representation of what you are going to experience. It's a really neat neighborhood, only a few blocks away from the Gaslamp district and the convention center. Cabs are plentiful and will pick you up curbside in front of the home if you want to head bit farther out to Coronado Island or the San Diego zoo.

I bought in this location because I love downtown San Diego. This home was selected because it is one of the few single family homes downtown. That meant I could paint it bright green and rent it weekly without the worry of a home owner's association. The interesting style of these homes won numerous awards for the builder. It features tilt up concrete construction. I liked the fact that the garage is attached and I do not have to go through a public elevator to get into the unit.

Attached garage single family home not a condo, there is no home association to worry about. Every HOA in downtown prohibits vacation rentals of less 30 days, people do it anyway but my tenants do not have that worry.
