Cozy mountain getaway. This ideal A-frame cabin is great for families, group of friends, or a romantic getaway for two with a view of the ski slopes from the master bedroom. On a quiet street nestled in the trees just a short distance to all that Big Bear has to offer. With a beautiful view you can see snowboarders go down the slope from the deck. Just a short walk to Bear Mountain Resort. Close to downtown yet feels secluded and peaceful. So many attractions and things to do all year round! Amazingly peaceful retreat

  • 5 of 5
I've had the pleasure of staying at this cabin a couple of times now. Once with a group of friends and once with my extended family. While the two trips purpose was really different, the first a fun trip hanging out and snowboarding with friends, the second a family bonding weekend (including a two year old), the cabin easily met our needs. The three floors provides space for everyone to do their own thing, while the living room is a great size for everyone to get together. The place is beautifully appointed and super close to the ski slopes. As well, the owners are fabulous and really easy to work with. Overall, I LOVE spending time at this gorgeous retreat.

Wonderful Family Weekend

  • 5 of 5
Loved our stay at your cabin! So close to everything but still felt like a private mountain retreat. Our family of four was very comfortable and appreciated all the homey and thoughtful touches. Cabin was well appointed and clean! Everyone enjoyed being together with still the space to spread out and explore. Our kids can't wait to go back for the hiking, zoo, and lake activities this fall. Thank you for a wonderful family weekend!

Who needs Hypnosis with this kind of Tranquility

We arrived and we were home. Quiet, Beautiful, Clean and Cozy. With my wife, two daughters (3 &4) and two dogs it was an exciting drive to say the least, however once we arrived all was tranquil, even our puppy was relaxed.
I cant explain it but it will be our destination of choice every year.

The amazing tree top cabin was so close to everything we needed, the lake, shopping, restaurants, ski lodge, museum, miniature golf, zoo, etc. The amazing thing is once you arrive back to the cabin it is as if you were 1000 miles from anyting/one.

We sat on the huge lower patio for every meal and all of us (including the animals) enjoyed every minute. The food even tasted better.
Every morning with a cup of coffee and every evening with a glass of wine we sat on the upper balcony and enjoyed the most gorgeous views.
We happened to be there during a full moon and our girls said, "we are so close daddy, can we tough it".
Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your cabin, you can count on us to return.

This was an AMAZING place to honeymoon!!!

  • 5 of 5
This cabin was the perfect getaway for our honeymoon. My husband was in awe of the location, the views and the wildlife. It reminded him of the mountains of Flagstaff. From the time we arrived to the time we left we had the best time ever. The cabin has a cool spiral staircase and all the amenities. It's got two decks and a great view of the ski slopes. There are plenty of places to hike and see loads of different wildlife from beautiful birds to deer and even bear. The owners have a book which lists the various birds in the area so we had great fun trying to identify as many as we could. It also has a very nice stone fireplace with a really efficient wood burning stove. In addition, it's close enough to town that you can enjoy a great dinner at several different places. We are so grateful to the owners for allowing us to have this wonderful honeymoon experience. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend this as an extraordinary getaway and plan to come back again and again. Thank you again to the gracious owners from Melyssa and Evan!

Can't wait to go back and watch more VHS!

This cabin is great! I highly recommend it for a Big Bear Ski vacation.

We rented the cabin for 2 nights. It has all the amenities of home including a working fireplace, hot water, cable/DVD/VHS (how can you pass up a legit OG Jurassic Park VHS tape! "Hold on to your butts."), full kitchen and an easy walk down to Bear Mountain (not so much up the hill but it's a great work out!)

We came in during a huge snow storm. The road to the cabin wasn't plowed (or any roads in the area) and we were unable to get up to the cabin that night. Thank goodness for nice strangers who gave us a ride. If the forecast calls for snow, make sure to have good chains and 4 wheel drive.

Even in white-out snow, the place was easy to find. We had to shovel the drive way to park but it was plowed by the time we got back from the slopes the next day.

The electric wall heaters are probably fine for normal Cali winter weather but it was very cold when we arrived. The fireplace takes at least an hour to start warming the whole house so not fun at 2am. Take note if you're arriving late and bring warm clothes and slippers! There's also a ton of extra blankets for those cold nights.

We loved, loved, LOVED the double spiral staircase. There's actually not doors in the whole cabin except for the bathrooms. Not great for a multi-couple romantic weekend but great for families and group trips.

The kitchen is effective but on the small size. It was perfect for cooking easy comfort foods but couldn't fit more than 2 people cooking. We brought our crockpot and went to town with chili. The kitchen has everything you would ever need and more, no complaints at all. They even leave some cold beer mugs in the freezer for a little Apres Ski.

We can't wait to come visit again!!! Thanks for a great stay.
