Chancton House is a private escape. The Mianus River Preserve borders one side of the property, and a quarter mile driveway separates the house from the road.

On in the inside are two wood burning fire places, sonos controlled surround sound on the main floor, and AC on the top floor for comfortable summer sleeping. The house is well insulated with storm windows and effective central heating for warmth on the coldest winter days.

On arrival the beds will be made and all normal necessities will be stocked.

The space
There are 2 wood burning fireplaces, an outdoor grill, 2 outdoor dining areas, 2 TV rooms, and a sitting room with no TV. The "basement" is not a true basement, it opens up directly onto the garden terrace, providing a great space for kids to play indoors and outdoors while keeping space for Mum & Dad upstairs.

The mature gardens have evolved over 30 years of cultivation, massive trees shade the property and host bird life that will be the only noise you hear while at the house. You will see countless varieties of plants and flowers: rose, iris, peony, azalea, hydrangea, allium, spirea, Japanese willow, and much more.

Guest access
The entire home and grounds with the exception of the 3 bay garage and apartment above it. The pool is private. The house in on seven acres, everything is private and secluded.

Other things to note
There is a property manager on-site who lives over the garage. She is there if you need her but she does not use the grounds or pool, those are exclusively yours.

As a country home we have gardeners who come to mow the lawn, blow the leaves and weed. We do our utmost to schedule these services to come when guests are not at the house, but it is not always possible. Interruption will be kept to a minimum.

For stays a month or longer we will bill you for the utilities which includes: gas, electricity, verizon, cleaning, lawn cutting, grounds maintenance and pool maintenance. During winter this is approximately $800-1000, during summer it's $1800-2000.
