About the Owner

We are the Miller's (from left, Blaise, Bryce Brent and Dina). This picture was taken sitting in front of Bella Vista's huge stack stone fireplace.

We originally fell in love with the Lodge becuase of it's fantastic views of Mount LeConte and the massive wall of windows in which to 'take it all in'. Over the past year, we have renovated EVERYTHING in the lodge; installing new hardwood floors, antler chandeliers, carpet, furniture, appliances, lighting, cabinetry...and...and...and...

It was a lot of work, but the end results is a fantastic, top-of-the-line, mountain lodge that your family and friends will love to come home to and won't ever want to leave!!

We hope you love Bella Vista Lodge as much as we do.

We had a wonderful stay at Bella Vista! My first impression was how clean the cabin was. It had alot of room! My sister and I roomed eleven kids in this cabin...the entertainment was great for them!! The view was spectacular! And we loved the way it was secluded and easy to get to from Pigeon Forge! We would definitely love to come here again!!

Perfect Getaway ~ Amazing Cabin

  • 5 of 5
My friends and our spouses just returned from a three night getaway in the Smokies. We really enjoyed our stay at Bella Vista Lodge. I have stayed in several vacation rentals over the years. This cabin was far above anything we expected. It was perfect for our group. This is a very nice cabin, great layout with quite a lot of privacy for each bedroom, a huge balcony with very comfortable furniture, tons of windows that look out over Mount LeConte and a very well equipped kitchen. We really liked the location of this cabin, close to the park and Gatlinburg, but far enough away from the action that we didn't feel like we were on crowded. Blaise, the owner, was very nice and a pleasure to work with. We would definitely stay here again. In fact, we look forward to it!

Fantastic Weekend

  • 5 of 5
Travelled with 3 other couples so with low working Wi-Fi it helped bond with friends we don't see often. Wonderful views to compliment a beautiful cabin. Couldn't have been more comfortable. It snowed one day and therefore it caused a power outage but it was fixed within a couple hours. Nothing that caused any inconvenience. Sunshine on the last day made it a memorable trip. It felt as though we experienced all 4 seasons. We will come back and have already recommend it to our families and friends.

Best weekend ever!

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at Bella Vista for a long overdue reunion with some of our very dear college friends. We were so excited to check out the cabin after reading awesome reviews and seeing the listing online. This property did not disappoint! The cabin was beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable, fully stocked, and in mint condition. We have stayed at mountain properties in other areas of the Smokey Mountains and this property was by far the easiest to find. It's location is amazing! So close to the arts and crafts district where a few of us picked up some homemade jams and salsa's, the main "strip" of Gatlinburg where we went on several moonshine tasting tours and enjoyed Halloween night out on the town! We were also very close to the various trails and self guided tours of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. Our group had a fabulous time celebrating Oktoberfest at Ober Gatlinburg. The owners had a fully detailed manual of activities, restaurants, and tourist attractions that our group might enjoy. The scenic view outside this cabin’s balcony are absolutely breathtaking. Our group enjoyed cooking in the chef's kitchen and grilled several meals using the large charcoal grill. We even played tournament games of Super Mario Brother's in the "kid's" room! Overall I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The owner was receptive to our questions and answered any concern that we had. I hope we make this an annual tradition and I can't imagine staying anywhere else but the Bella Vista!

Great Cabin for Families

  • 5 of 5
Our family usually does a beach trip. But that wouldn't work this year so we began the search in January for a cabin that would suit our 13 with grandchildren ranging from 7 months to 19 years. Belle Vista fit the bill. It looked so perfect on the website that I was a little worried how it could live up to our expectations. From the beginning the Millers were so accommodating, helping us extend our weekend trip to a week long trip, sending directions that helped us avoid the strip and its traffic. But still I worried...we've had a few blunders before. My husband and I arrived first. We walked in and begin to inspect...we couldn't find anything wrong, everything as clean and beautiful. At 4 pm the view was breath-taking. The cabine is central to so many things, including Knoxvilloe that our boys attended the UT/Florida game and my 69 year old husband was like a kid since this was his first game at Neyland. The girls had lunch at the at a tea room nearby and did some shopping. We had a couple of rainy days, but still managed to get in some hiking and go carting. We had a wonderful time, Belle Vista is just that, beautiful, no matter the weather, so comfortable and the kids could have stayed the entire week in the lower lever with all the games, movies and hot tub. Definitely recommend this cabin!

Awesome cabin! Far above average!!

  • 5 of 5
We have stayed in a variety of rental properties before (including other Homeaway properties) and this cabin was one of the nicest places we've ever stayed! Everything was exactly as described in the listing, and in the pictures. After looking at a lot of listings in the area, I think Bella Vista is one of the BEST values for your money- just super, super nice. The kitchen was well stocked, everything was immaculately clean when we arrived, no problems checking in, and above all there was so much attention to detail- we really appreciated having basics like paper towels, trash bags, dish soap etc provided when we checked in. There is a binder with great instructions for operating the TV's, hot tub, etc. Even the light switches are labeled so you can easily find the lights- so thoughtful!

This property is a great option for anyone with physical limitations- my dad has trouble with stairs, and this place was SO much easier for him than other places we've stayed- park right at the front door, just a few steps up and then 2 nice master bedrooms on the first floor. (Jacuzzi was AWESOME.) :-) Since this is such a hilly area of TN, it can be hard to find properties that are so easy to access.

As stated in the description, there are a nice selection of board games, books, video games, and DVD's provided- mainly geared towards school age children and up. If you have babies/ toddlers, you may want to bring a few of their favorite toys from home- our 21 month old was quite happy sitting on the porch and splashing in a bucket of water. :-)

Bella Vista is *definitely* the place to go if you're looking for some relaxing time in the mountains, or easy access to the National Park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. There were 9 of us visiting (extended family) and plenty of privacy for everyone. We all can't wait to go back! Thanks to Blaise Miller for such a great vacation experience.

From the Owner

Our search for this cabin crossed several states and a year and a half. We found lots of beautiful locations in other areas but to quote our youngest son 'It's so BORING...there is nothing to do but look at the view!' We hated to admit it but he was right...Where could there be a place that had the serenity, and views that the adults desired, while having enough 'fun' to hook the kids??? The answer was Gatlinburg, TN!! We found some of the best mountain views in the South in this area. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge have lots to do for our boys, from hiking, to white water rafting, to fine dining and live shows, to horseback riding and Go-Karts. We now that this area will entertain EVERYONE in our family for years to come...

From the Owner

We looked low and high, but could not find a place that 'wowed' us. When we found 'Bella Vista', there was no mistaking we had found what we were searching for! Bella Vista Lodge combines a fantastic mountain view but unintimidating roads to get there. A real rarity in these parts! It also provides plenty of indoor and outdoor space to accomodate large groups while still keeping a cozy and intimate feel. The Lodge is in the Arts & Crafts District, which is a quaint area with lots of small family-run artisian shops - you don't even have to buy, just go in and talk with the kind folks - they are very friendly people. We take pride in knowing that other families can create wonderful memories to last a lifetime while staying at Bella Vista. Please know we will do everything possible to make sure you have a great vacation in the Smokies!
