About the Owner
We are a married couple, Gigi and Charlie, that are lucky enough to call Nevis home year-round with several businesses to keep us busy. Charlie was born in St Kitts (the neighbouring island) when his parents were working at the Sugar Factory... some moons ago! We love this island and all that it offers and look forward to welcoming you to this very special place.

Great way to stay on Nevis
And personal service, too. Gigi picked us up at the airport and gave pointers on where to eat and what to do all the way to her place. Full explanation on how to work everything in the house -- so much that we couldn't remember it all. When we couldn't get doors and the safe to cooperate, she or Charlie were there in minutes. They even left us a local burner phone to use while on the island! Also got a rental car delivered to the house (you'll need that). Excellent advice on restaurants, the ferry system, what to see, etc. And if we had any trouble anywhere on the island she would help. They've been on Nevis for 20 or 30 years and nearly everyone we met on the island knew them. So we really had an entry to the island.
I took one star off 'cause there were a few rough edges. Some windows were broken (not the glass -- sashes just didn't stay open without a prop), some doors didn't work right, and there were missing screens on the doors. I got bug bit quite a bit on the first night or two but there were plenty of bug sprays at the house. I tried several until I found one that worked well and now I know a new brand that I wouldn't have discovered... I'll be getting some of that, myself. I know the Duncans are getting new screens to address this. Oh, and Nevis didn't cooperate with our schedule and the wind blew like and angry witch for nearly the whole time we were there.. Not the Duncan's fault, though, and the wind was blowing throughout most the Caribbean at the time. The house was also quite dark and no good reading lights. There are extra bulbs to be found, though. You can't get air conditioning in the living room/kitchen area but you really do get used to the "island way" of leaving everything open and letting the breeze do the work. AC in the master is strong but noisy.
My wife and I truly relaxed and enjoyed having "our own house" while there, though. It was fun just discovering all the utensils and things to use in the house. Soap for the dishwasher, soap for the cloths washer, the bug sprays, books to read, DVDs to watch, etc. Totally clean except for some bugs in the windows. Pool is for plunging.

Gigi, the owner, was amazing and couldn't do enough for us - picked us up from the ferry, organised car hire, telephone to use whilst on Nevis, sorted out our water taxi back to the airport.
All in all a great experience and a lovely family holiday. Thank you so much.
Concierge Level Service from Owner
We enjoyed the whole experience. You do need a rental car, but you are very close to lots of restaurants and activities. The only downside it that is is pretty dark at night. Lighting is not great. I think this is common though because we had the same experience in our St Kitts villa. Apparently electric is outrageously expensive.
The photos from our vacation can't touch the beauty of the island or Moonbeam. To sit on our deck with a rum punch after a dip in the pool before taking a shower al fresco was just perfect. The house is comfortable, it has a perfectly stocked kitchen, lovely areas for entertaining or playing games and the sunset views were spectacular.
Duncan and Gigi provided us with all the information and services we would need. They set up our water taxi, rental car, suggested beaches, restaurants, activities and much much more. The locals were welcoming and courteous and navigating the island was much easier than we anticipated.
I really cannot express enough what a fabulous time we all had. We would definitely do this again!
The most special vacation a person could have!
As for the property -- the photos don't (and can't) do it justice. For one thing -- the view. There just aren't words to describe it. And, the house itself. My goodness. It is lovely, comfortable, beautifully appointed with every convenience. Perfect place for entertaining! The stunning patio and the roof deck are just phenomenal. I just cannot say enough about this property. If you are looking for elegant relaxation -- this is the place for you!
From the Owner
