This impeccable town home will be your perfect refuge in Santa Monica. Two spaces in underground garage lead directly to your unit, along with storage for bikes (provided, child seats and trailers available).

One flight up brings you to the large cheerful eat-in cook's kitchen, complete with Wolf oven/range and dishwasher. Fully stocked kitchen with excellent appliances so you can really live as you would at home.

Outside of the kitchen brings you to the dining and living area. Authentic Heywood Wakefield mid-century modern furniture and large flatscreen TV provide stylish comfort, as well as fully-stocked bookshelves and DVD library.

Out the front door is a small private patio, perfect for morning coffee or grilling your bounty from Whole Foods (located only 9 blocks away)

Upstairs brings you to lofty skylights, washer dryer in the hallway, and the master bedroom. The ceilings rise up dramatically, with a modern ceiling fan to lull you to sleep in your comfortable queen latex mattress bed. Brand new Calvin Klein bedding, huge reach in closet, vast built-in dresser, sitting area and flat screen TV make this your sanctuary. Master bathroom is fully renovated with large skylit stall shower and deep soaking tub.

Second bedroom also has a large reach-in closet, small dresser, and desk area with printer. Attached bathroom has a small stall shower, no tub.

We welcome families and do everything we can to make their travels as easy as possible. Strollers, carseats, airport pick-up with car seats, toys, games, high chairs, baby gates, pack-n-play and baby bathtubs are all available as part of a baby/kid add-on package. There is plenty of room in the master for a full-size crib or toddler bed if you want your little one close to you. For longer-term rentals, happy to negotiate switching bed in second guest room to twins or a bunk bed.

Families should also know that there is fabulous Douglas Park in walking distance, with a great playground for all ages, a duck pond, tennis courts, and lots of kids. Three blocks away is the beautiful Montana branch library, excellent for kids. Best of all, an excellent babysitter is in the townhouse next door.

For an extra fee you can also get membership at the Lowe's Beach Hotel Gym and Spa, which allows access to their beautiful outdoor heated pool and spa, steps from the sand, plus a full schedule of fitness classes and high tech and airy gym.

For those who like to shop, we are two blocks away from famous Montana Avenue, which is filled with clothes stores, cafes, restaurants, food, cheese, and wine stores, hair and nail salons, home much to choose from! Keep walking down Montana and you will come to stairs leading you right down to the beach. If you wanted to ditch the car and stay local, you would have plenty to do!

Clean, comfortable and very conveniently located. Very kind and helpful owner.
This property is a very short walk from the stores and shops and library on Montana Avenue and only a mile's walking distance to the beach. It was spotless and comfortable. The large kitchen was updated with top of the line appliances. A tiny patio outside the front door provided a place to read in the sunshine or shade. Whenever I needed help, the owner responded immediately. When I had trouble opening bottles because of a wrist injury, she immediately purchased a more user-friendly gadget. Two spaces were reserved in the garage for the condo. And a bonus--an unusually well stocked library of literature, history, and mystery. I definitely recommend this property.

Buyer Beware!!

We stayed at Nell's property for 5 nights over New Year's with my family and she kept our damage deposit. I tried to discuss with her but she would not return our calls or texts. I filed a complaint with VRBO but up til now I have not been able to get anything back. Stay at your own risk or pay with Credit Card so that you can file a complaint with them if she tries the same thing with you. We paid cash and we had no way this, so if you do decide not to take my warning please protect yourself and do not pay cash.

The cozy town house is just ok. For the money we paid per night it was underwhelming to say the least. She did take the time to put together a 10 page manifesto on what you can and can't touch and 2 door locks have dead bolts that don't work, you would think she would pay the money to repair the locks as it is a rental. A key broke in the lock when we were using it and she claimed the locksmith fee against us. The location is good but we saw strange people going through the garbage by the parking garage on a couple of occasions. I did not feel safe as they could have easily entered the garage as we were pulling in. Also the heating does not work well. It blasts heat from 2 main vents you are either going to be really hot in some rooms or cold in others. Older house but it wasn't comfortable to deal with at night.

So the place is average, but the main issue is with the owner Nell. I never did meet her though as she had her neighbor looking after the property. We had a few issues that Nell responded to a few days later as she claimed to not have reception where she was. We had given Nell the damage deposit in advance. I called Nell in the morning to let her know that we were getting ready to leave. She did not answer, we proceeded to clean the townhouse and wait for Nell to come inspect the unit and provide us with the deposit back. She sent over the neighbor and I asked her to come in and take a look as we were ready to go. She said so need for that everything looks good. Nell eventually called and said that she would send the deposit back to us in 2 weeks. I was ok, seems odd but I guess we will wait for it. 2 weeks later I get a package from Nell saying that we would not be getting any of our money back as we left the place in a mess, left rotten food in the fridge (we were there for 4 days and did not cook) and we took what we had left with us as we were going to another city. Please save yourself the hassles and do not stay here.

Owner's Response: Please note that I had a dispute with this renter over the return of his security deposit. I declined to return it because of damages and the awful condition in which he left the condo. Home Away/VRBO ruled in my favor. Please also note that this is the first and only dispute or complaint I’ve had from a renter!

Loved this condo.

Loved this condo. Very comfortable and clean with every amenity. Large well stocked kitchen, comfortable living room. Two pretty bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Wonderful walk-in shower.
The condo is in walking distance of many fun boutiques and cafes. Also in walking distance of the beautiful Pacific Ocean views of Santa Monica.
Owner is extremely responsive and accommodating.
Would recommend this condo and would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay in Santa Monica Townhouse

My family and I come frequently to the Brentwood/Santa Monica area to see family, and usually stay at a hotel. This time, I was able to find an amazing townhouse in the heart of Santa Monica. Everything about the townhouse was perfect, from the furnishings to the location to the condition of everything inside of the townhouse! Most important, we felt right at home. The owners are meticulous about keeping everything clean and new which we really appreciate. Having stayed at various VRBOs around the world, we have really come to value things being clean and orderly. Great spot in Santa Monica where we were able to walk to Montana, 3rd Street Prominade, the beach. We loved it and will come back.

Beautiful townhouse conveniently located

The apartment is beautiful, clean with lots of nice touches. 2 Nice bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on two levels. Master bathroom has a beautiful shower and claw foot tub. Very quiet with no street noise, we slept great and found the beds to be very comfortable. Nell is very helpful and was always very eager and able to help when we had questions. I highly recommend this as a place to stay when you're in Santa Monica.

Before I moved to Los Angeles, I spent a lot of time visiting Santa Monica with my family. It was always so hard to find a place that could satisfy our needs (black-out curtains in the baby's room, high chairs, etc.) Also, a lot of times the rentals we ended up with were very dirty. I'm happy to offer a Santa Monica rental that I feel proud of and would have loved to rent myself!
