This comfortable property is a wonderful find in the Charleston area. It is located just a few moments over the bridge into Historic Downtown Charleston, and has 5 bedrooms, plus an in-ground private saltwater swimming pool. Also, the house is just a short drive to the Beach too! Not only that ....our neighborhood docks are open to visitors and are perfect for waterfront fun, and launching a boat.

This one story house is situated on nearly a half acre of land, in the old historic Remley's Point neighborhood on a quiet dead end street. This neighborhood is laced with marshland, tidal creeks, and deep water, plus sunset views of the Charleston Ravenel Bridge. There are 3 public waterfront docks close by, including a dock just a short 2 block walk away....This is a terrific location - just moments by car over the Ravenel Bridge to the Historic District, or the Visitor Center, or to the beaches.

This house has an easy-living one-story floor plan for your vacationing pleasure. The fully equipped kitchen opens by pass-through to both the dining room and the great room. The range is gas. The oven, microwave, double sink, and dishwasher are stainless. The kitchen is nicely finished with granite countertops and a gorgeous tile backsplash.

Connected to the kitchen is an open dining room, so you are never closed off from the action of your group. The convenient dining room has a very large table for your group meals. The flooring in the family room and dining area is a beautiful hardwood cypress.

Adjacent to the Kitchen and Dining Room is the family room. This great room has 2 sturdy burgundy leather couches and a large HDTV over the fireplace. A ceiling fan turns overhead for summer guests; a working fireplace warms winter guests. This is a comfy room for hanging out with your group, when not in the back of the house enjoying the screened in porch, deck and pool.

182 6th Avenue, LLC has 3 sets of outdoor decks, plus a Screened Porch! You might wish to sit on the front porch and rock quietly away, or step through French doors from either of the Master king bed rooms onto the back porches overlooking the yard and pool. There are sets of seating all around the porches, decks, and screened porch… chair groupings, rocking chairs, gliders, tables, and a gas grill.

And although the central gathering spots of this house are terrific, the focus is also on sleeping comfort! The bedrooms are very nice sleep and retreat rooms. We believe in comfortable bedrooms. This house is made for gathering together and creating memories……and also for comfortably escaping to a nice bed with luxury linens!

HOUSE CONFIGURATION:

The #1 bedroom is the spacious Master Suite. It has a deep thick Luxury King Bed. French doors open to the outdoor deck, only steps away from the swimming pool. The flooring is plush carpeting. There is also a small click-clack couch bed for child sleeping space. This Master Suite has a gorgeous, attached private bathroom. This luxury tiled bathroom has it all! Private closet toilet area, double sinks, a glassed in tiled shower, plus a separate tub!

The #2 bedroom is the second Master Suite Bedroom. It is just across the hall, and also has French Doors opening to the outdoor deck on the other side of the screened porch. Step right outside! This oversized huge Master has enough space for a sitting area with a sofa bed, and this room is perfect for a family space. This master has hardwood cypress floors, and shares a hall bathroom. Because this room is very large, it has a King Bed, 1 Double Bed, a Twin cot, and a Queen pullout sofa. It is great for the youngins', or suitable as family sleeping space.

Bedroom #3 is the cozier room, and has a lovely Queen Bed. It has plush carpeting. It is completed with a Ceiling fan and HDTV. This bedroom shares the hallway bathroom.

Bedroom #4 has a gorgeous Queen Bed and Private attached tiled bathroom. This room also has plush carpeting. It is completed with a ceiling fan and HDTV.

Bedroom #5 is outfitted with a Queen Bed and Dresser. The flooring is carpet. It is completed with a ceiling fan and HDTV. This bedroom also shares the hall bathroom.

The washer and dryer are in a separate laundry room off the hallway.

To top it all off….the backyard of the house makes this the perfect vacation location. The Pool is a wonderful family gathering center point. It has a shallow end, a deep end, and a ledge for sitting. You can also crab and fish from the local neighborhood docks just 2 short blocks away. Or just bring your Kayaks and launch from the boat landing at the end of the neighborhood. Try a stand up board. Swing in a hammock, sit on the screened porch, or rock on the outside decks.

Wonderful place for multi-family gathering

This beautiful home was perfect for our four families' visit to Charleston in October. It's conveniently located to the downtown, water, airport and sites, yet sufficient tucked away for quiet family times. I received great kudos from our group for finding such a gem for our stay. Our hosts couldn't have done more for us. They were on the spot when we encountered a coffee pot problem (which was user induced), but otherwise out of our way. Look for more visitors from Michigan, Massachusetts and Montana. This house is exactly as pictured and described.

It is great to have guests from all over the country enjoy our little slice of beauty.
And, even if guests have "self-induced" -:) coffee pot troubles, or sometimes cant turn on the tv or hot water -:)....we are close enough nearby to run over and give guidance! We think dealing with owners on the spot - like us - is much easier than getting help from a rental handled by a standard business property manager. We Care about our guest's comfort!
By the way, ......just so that future guests are aware,.... the house has a standard drip coffee pot, a Kuerig, and a coffee press. We always hope that one guests can figure out how to work one of these at 8 in the morning !
The house is maintained in tip top upscale condition, and we strive for guests NOT to have issues. But if you do....we will assist!

This is a wonderful house!

Recently my family spent several days enjoying this wonderful house. It is not just a rental house because you feel as though you and your family belong there. We felt very "at home". The decor is lovely, tastefully done and yet very inviting. It was a perfect place to host a small get-together for friends and family who had come to our daughter's wedding.

Entertaining was very easy because of the space available for folks to move around. The den/kitchen area is perfect for preparing food and getting it quickly to the very large table. The back of the house, which includes the screened porch and the pool, provides a perfect place for people to congregate, chat, and visit easily. Even though we were unable to swim because of rain and cool weather, the pool and the area around it would be a perfect place to entertain everyone in the backyard.

Good location! whole Foods and Trader Joe's are nearby for specialty and healthy foods. Harris Teeter is close by also. However, when I found Publix grocery store, which was approximately 2 miles away, I was thrilled! I knew where everything was that I needed. That was a relief because we were running low on time "wedding-wise".

All of the family shared one sentiment: the beds were DIVINE!! Pillows were equally comfy. What a delight to fall into those beds at the end of a fun yet hectic day.

Laurie and George were wonderful to work with and were always very informative. We have rented several houses in the past; however, we have never had an owner meet us at the house upon arrival and give us a personal tour! We arrived late and George was very accommodating.

We enjoyed our trip so much and I attribute a great deal of that to our rental of this house.

Owner's Response: We rent to many families and guests in town for weddings. Charleston is a huge wedding destination. This house is centrally located to many of the venues. One mile from I'on and the Creek Club, two miles from Shem Creek and The Cottage on the Creek, five miles from the William Aiken House in Historic Downtown, eleven miles from the Legare Waring House in the park, five miles from Boone Hall Plantation, six miles from Lowndes Grove and the River House.
With 5 bedrooms, and 3 or 4 bathrooms, in this comfy rental, we think this rental house is perfect for groups visiting Charleston.

Perfection in vacation home rentals!

We came to Charleston to celebrate my Son's wedding and needed a place for my family to stay comfortably together and this was in deed the perfect place.

George and Laurie really know how to do it right when it comes to exceeding your expectations for luxury accommodations and meeting your every need. From the moment we stepped over the threshold we knew the listing pictures were worth more than a thousand words but the one that hit us first was just "WOW"! I suspect someone here has a background in interior design. These folks have provided the finest of everything from the most comfortable bedding to the best of toilet tissues. The bed pillows were so outstanding that Uncle Gary took a picture of the label, went online and found them at Macy's and placed an order. They have also provided excessive quantities of everything you could ever need from towels, to tea spoons and did I mention the toilet paper? They have prepared a binder full of information including directions to stores, restaurant reviews, and local history. You should go through this even if you've visited the Charleston area before. The wi-fi worked great from all points on the property, and the flat screen HD TVs everywhere are top quality.

This Mount Pleasant neighborhood is a very convenient location for visits to the beaches and historic downtown Charleston. It's literally 5 minutes over to Shem Creek for fresh shrimp right off the boat and 10 minutes to Cru Cafe for our favorite lunch. From this house access to everything takes but a few minutes and the closest grocery is open 24 hrs a day just in case something comes up.

This vacation property truly felt like home and we will be coming back here again soon.

The pictures truly do not do this house justice! The owner let us know that it was recently remodeled in May, and it is beautiful! Truly, the furniture and decor make it feel like a full time house! The paintings throughout the house are so beautiful-- especially the one in the bedroom across from the master... It is a marvelous painting of a Charleston plantation driveway lined with what I think are oak trees.

We didn't have a car the first day, but since Uber came to Charleston, we hardly needed one. There is a Harris Teeter, Starbucks, yoga studio, and PureBarre relatively close, and it even makes for a nice walk if you're open!
You're provided with more than enough towels, clean sheets, and plenty of toilet paper, and as I said above, the grocery store is close.

The beds were amazing! My whole party (myself included) could not stop ranting and raving about how comfortable they are... It feels like you're sleeping on a cloud. I was truly tempted to lift up the mattress and see what brand they were (Alas! Coulda, shoulda, woulda...)

The kitchen comes with more than enough pots and pans to feed a family of 12, and there is a Keurig for making coffee in the morning-- as well as a teapot for those who prefer tea.

The back of the house was amazing! The screened porch was truly a treat. There's also a bar-b-q grill on the back porch that comes with propane all ready to be used! The saltwater pool was awesome! The pool is much deeper than it looks, and it's fabulous because the seating and floor of the pool is smooth, so you don't get pills on your bathing suit when you sit! There was enough seating for everyone and then some, and the best part is that if you're a remote worker, the wifi reaches out to where the pool is... Truly a treat!

The neighborhood was a little bit sketchy at night, but as long as you don't go wandering around alone, it's fine! And for the price + the actual house, it's definitely worth a tiny trade off.

Overall, I had an absolutely fabulous experience, and I know the rest of my crew did too. Thank you, Laurie and George, for a wonderful weekend and for sharing your beautiful house with us!

Of course, ... downtown Historic Charleston is simply a hop over the bridge. And I think you had some beach time too...straight down the road to the Ocean, a very short drive! We love Charleston and have lived here nearly 25 years. As the town grew, we chose to be close to downtown, and settled in this neighborhood of Remleys Point. We feel grateful to have more than one house to share for others who wish to visit the great LowCountry area, or are here for family gatherings, reunions, and wedding events. The success of our first rental...inspired us to grow with this rental.
