Great times with the family in NOLA

  • 5 of 5
The place and location are ideal for what we did and for other big groups visiting this great city. The house was immaculate and the location was ideal. We traveled with my family for my daughters graduation and had plenty of space. My wife and I are already talking to other couples of making another trip down to the house if available to enjoy the city together. The one down side was that there were no chairs to sit outside and just relax but as I said that is really the only down side. I highly recommend this as your house if you are with a larger group and want great access to the quarter and uptown but also enjoy some solace. Cheers.

Functional, comfortable base to enjoy New Orleans

  • 5 of 5
This updated, comfortable house in the heart of the Lower Garden District is a great place for a group to stay and enjoy New Orleans. Walk to Magazine Street restos and shopping, easy access to the Streetcar and gorgeous architecture strolls in every direction. We were 3 adult couples celebrating a 40th birthday during JazzFest. It was a perfect spot.

Fantastic house in an equally fantastic location.

  • 5 of 5
We traveled to NOLA with another family and kids. This house was very clean and had great amenities. The basketball goal in the back was a nice touch. The house is centrally located on St. Charles seemingly equidistant from the Quarter and many uptown attractions, with easy access to the streetcars. We went to the Aquarium, Insectarium, Zoo, WWII museum and a swamp tour. All were great. With our kids we went to Superior Seafood and Frankie and Johnny's. Both were very good and kid-friendly. Special shout-out to the restaurant Peche. The adults went there one night and it was outstanding. We will definitely be back and will look to rent this house again!

Fantastic house and close to everywhere we wanted

  • 5 of 5
This is an amazing house. I was impressed with the quality of the furnishings and the home in general. It also felt surprisingly larger inside than I anticipated. I hosted a get together with old friends here. The house was a launching point to see the different sights of the city. We had a lot of fun walking to Magazine Street and even walking all the way into the French Quarter. So if you don’t mind walking a couple miles, this place is great. Also, the public transportation is very convenient to the house. I would definitely recommend this place to others and would stay here again in the future.

Great location on St. Charles Street

  • 3 of 5
We loved the location of this house. It suited our needs as a group of 6 adults in New Orleans for a 5 day wedding celebration. We had activities to attend in the French Quarter, the Garden District as well as Uptown so we were in a great spot for all of that. We were hardly there, and really only to sleep as we had activities to attend on a daily basis. However, the house is fully functional if you were to stay put, enjoying the house and cooking your meals etc. The internet was not working all that well so we all had some issues with that. We felt that the $200.00 charge for cleaning the house was quite steep. The floors were not particularly clean on arrival. I wore my slippers as my feet were black from walking barefoot throughout the house. Luckily we all brought something to wear on our feet. The garbage bins were full when we put the garbage out on Sunday the day we left. We had 3 small bags so not sure if others did not take care of their garbage during their stay. It would have been nice to be able to park our car in the back part of the house by the garage enabling us to turn the car around for easier access onto St. Charles Street. It was tricky getting in and out as backing out was a bit difficult visually ( large tree blocking view ) onto a busy street.

Owner's Response: I am sorry to hear about the issues. I wish you would have called me. The Internet works, maybe there were technical issues during your stay. I would have appreciated a call, I could fix it no matter what. The housekeeper we use is the best in the area and all other reviews talk about how clean the house is. Nola is an expensive city and the cost for help is not the same as other cities. The parking - I cannot have people park in the backyard. There is plenty of space in the driveway and you can park on the street. The yard has a wooden gate and we cannot have damage to it by cars driving through it. The trash bins in the yard were full since we have many guests stay and trash is taken by the city once a week. Please when you stay anywhere and there are issues, call the owner so they can fix it. It is not possible to address any problems unless I know about it during your stay. All other renters are very happy, so I am surprised.

Great house in the Garden District

  • 4 of 5
Four a group of 70-year-old friends from college, this was a great place to stay: away from the maddening crowds of Bourbon/Frenchman Streets, but near enough to walk to Commander's, Magazine Street and excellent eating on St. Charles Avenue. Across the street from the trolley, which made sight-seeing even easier. The house was clean, easy to maneuver, with comfortable beds/living room furniture, etc. Only complaint was that the wi-fi in the house is weak! Would definitely recommend this property to others.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your wonderful review. There are two networks and in the renters notes I mention that you should only get on the faster one (ending with the number 2).
Other renters that have gone on the second one seem to be OK with it.
I will address if it is an issue. Thanks again for staying at our property.
