Hi,
My wife and I have lived in the Castle from 2013 to October of 2022. Every minute living on the mountain was an adventure! While living in the Castle we enjoyed sharing our collection of Antiques with friends and new quaintness. The collection has bits and pieces dating from 200BCE to the 17th century. There is something of interest for everyone! Now we treasure sharing our unique home with people that enjoy the mountains of North Idaho and all it has to give. AND, the adjoining building, the Chateau de Melusine is as unique as the Castle and is a vacation rental managed by Vacasa.

Why they chose this property
Why did we chose this neighborhood , ah, hmmm, maybe because of the clean cool air, the spectacular views of Lake Pene Oreille, Views of Schweitzer Ski Resort, the sunrises, the smell of the pine trees, the deer, moose, bear... that frequent the property. And the quite and stillness of the forest - and the occasional yell of a neighbor who is chastising her husband ?
What makes this property unique
OH COME ON!!! Where else can you live in a castle (where the natives speak proper English)? Where else can you live like a King and Queen with your Kinglets and Queenlets (is that proper English?)? You figure it out!
