Apartment, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

The apartment features two comfortable bedrooms with new and modern furniture and a nice fully equipped open kitchen that faces the living-dining area. You will feel like home. The patio area is shared with the two other units in the building. However it is never crowded and always fun to have a glass of wine outside.

Some of the best restaurants are on our guest's guide and they are within walking distance: Flour and Water, Gratitude, Blowfish, Limon Rotisserie, and more. BART stations Mission 24th and Mission 16th Street are respectively only 12 and 17 minutes away walking distance. If you are not a big fan of the BART, you can take Bus#27 one block away from the apartment, which will take you to Union Square in 25 min.

PARKING SITUATION

There is no parking in the building. You can park on the street for free, it is not limited and no parking permit is needed. There is also a Bart station (subway) only a few blocks away so you don't need a car to move around. There are a few public parking garages nearby:

City-Owned Parking Garage - 2351 Mission St.

SF General Hospital Garage - 2500 24th St.

good location, mediocre service

  • 3 of 5
Location is great, affordable is true, and the unit (we had the upstairs version of the one pictured with same owners) was perfect for us and our two young children. Clean and spacious with lots of dishes and cooking ware. Instructions for check in and check out were thorough. They did not have a pack n play available when we asked a week before arrival (another customer was using it) but they graciously provided links to crib rentals and yet, thankfully, were able to secure theirs several days before so we didn't have to rent one! I was grateful for this, not expecting them to have one in the first place and let them know that. DVD player was not connected to TV so couldn't watch DVDs. Screen was missing from one of the windows which was dangerous and prevented air flow (no fans in unit). I would check to make sure this is fixed before renting unit A with young children. Downside related to service: all towels are NOT provided - they do not provide washcloths - and this was never said in any literature. When I asked if this was the norm or the cleaning service just forgot (and stated that it should be clear so that renters can come prepared), I was reminded that they gave us a pack n play as a gesture since they don't accommodate their properties with baby amenities. Not sure what one has to do with the other and not sure why they would even offer the p-n-p if it is that much of an inconvenience.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review. I just want to clarify that we do provide all the towels but we do not provide washcloths. We did provide you a pack'n play for your stay but we do not have baby equipment and that is why we refer to some baby equipment rentals in the city. Regards,

Clean, comfortable, and beautiful

  • 5 of 5
We stayed three nights, and were pleased with our choice. Well supplied house was comfortable for the 4 of us. Lots of towels, functional kitchen. Our morning pancakes set off the smoke alarm every morning--whoops! Open the windows for ventilation if you plan to cook! We found MUNI bus stops all around us, which made traveling around town easy. Many restaurants and small markets within walking distance. We'd definitely consider staying here again for future visits!

Our Stay at San Fran

  • 5 of 5
On arrival to this property I will admit I wasn't too sure (but this was only due to the fact that we had arrived late and it was dark). The large iron gates did make me a little concerned however the phrase don't judge a book by its cover spring to mind! Once in the property we found it roomy and quite homely. once we had settled in that night then woke next morning all was very pleasant. the area that we was in look very charming and the locals were friendly. We noticed that all throughout San Francisco's properties they all have Iron gates (its the norm and nothing to be afraid of). This property had all that we could ask for: fast internet, close to the center of the city and a great base to relax (with its own shared courtyard).
The communication that I've had with the owner from the time of booking to time of the stay has been great, even whilst I was there the owner was able to help us out via email promptly.
If I was Thinking of returning to San Fran I would defiantly look at booking this property again!
Many Thank!!!

Very clean appartment, very quiet neighborhood

  • 5 of 5
Stayed in the appartment for a week. Enjoyed it much better than usual hotels.
Advantages:
Very clean.
There is everything you need.
Nice neighborhood.
30 minutes walk (or 12$ taxi) to the city center.
Less than 10 minutes walk to train.
Good cafes around
Can easily sleep 4 people.

Disadvantages:
Very thin walls (I believe it is a general problem in SF)
Car parking is a real problem

Mission apartment review

  • 5 of 5
The apartment was clean, modern and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful too. It's located on a quiet, safe family street and the Mission area was fun - lots of bars and restaurants with a vibrant multi-cultural mix. There's a bus stop around the corner and it's about a 15 minute walk from the BART station.

My only minor gripe was that the heating in the living room didn't seem up to the cold weather. Maybe some extra electric heaters might be good. I stayed in December - I imagine that it would be fine in other months. The heating for the other rooms was fine.

Location

From the Owner

We love the neighborhood, the people and of course the weather. Always warmer and sunnier that the rest of the city.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : SFO Airport at 11.6 Miles Nearest Barpub : Asiento, just one block away at 0.1 Miles Nearest Ferry : Embarcadero Ferry building at 2.5 Miles Nearest Golf : Presidio Golf Course at 5 Miles Nearest Train : Caltrain station at 2.2 Miles Nearest Motorway : 101 to the Airport-San Jose at 0.8 Miles Nearest Restaurant : Flour Water at 0.2 Miles Nearest Ski : Lake Tahoe at 200 Miles Nearest Beach : Ocean Beach at 4 Miles

Neighborhood: MISSION

The Mission has the best weather in the city, especially this block. It is frequently warm and sunny when the rest of the city can be cold and foggy. In addition to that, it is less windy than many neighborhoods. Residents in the Mission are incredibly diverse. Artists, street people, professionals and the general SF lot mix. Its gentrification is making it one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the city.
