Winter driving many highways access roads and or driveways are steep in Tahoe and Truckee and maybe icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st to April 30th breaks, windshield wipers, defroster, heat and exhaust systems are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure your chains are the proper size for your tires and they're in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the California Highway Patrol.

Summer patio furniture is available for the use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and lounges are put into storage in the fall in order to protect the Furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.
Be Bear Aware Black Bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because Bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter Bears during your spring/summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant proper damage to home and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be better aware so that we can continue living harmony with our wildlife .

I am originally from the UK. After globe trotting through work my wife and I landed in San Diego. We planned to stay just for 2 years...That was 17 years ago! I am recently retired and I am enjoying playing golf in my leisure time.

Why they chose this property

My wife and I chose this property as we were seeking a property with a Lake View. This home definitely has those! Tahoe Vista is close to restaurants, supermarkets and the ski resorts or Paradise and Northstar.

What makes this property unique

In addition to being bright and comfortable, we have created a Kasbah style area to relax and read. Our hot tub has excellent views and is perfect for watching the sunrise. We have a fully equipped kitchen (Better than our own in San Diego) which is a joy to cook in.
