Better Than a Hotel for Business

Myself and 5 colleagues stayed here for almost a week while attending a conference. Sleeping space was a bit tight with 6 adults, but do-able. The neighborhood was awesome- felt very suburban, quiet, good restaurants around- and it was very easy to get downtown to the convention center. Mya was very easy to communicate and work with throughout the process. The property has tons of character and made me want to stay there forever.

Winter Blahs Getaway

Upon arrival we weren't sure what to expect. Very first time in the "Big Easy". Turned out to be the best vacation. This rental fit us perfectly. This is and older established home. Great rooms that accommodated us to a tee. Beds were super comfortable. The owners were actually there when we arrived and treated us like family right off the bat. It's in a very quiet neighborhood and safety was never in question. Cute cafe on the corner and local restaurants too. Not far from the French Quarter. We would DEFINITELY recommend this cute home to rent. Thank you Mya for everything. I think the only thing to suggest is for the owner to get a guest book for the house so we could have written something for the owner to look back on from their guests.

Spring Break GetAway

Okay pictures don't give this home justice !! My family and I wanted to relax since we travel to New Orleans every year and didn't want a Hotel ;( with 3 small children. It's private and you can't hear anything from the renters up front. The home owner was very sweet and answered all my questions. We will be going back again soon and for 1st time VRBO renters we were so happy with being able to relax and having a private room for my mother and the girls and my husband and I in the other. Lots of closet space! Plenty of linens and utensils in the kitchen. Yes we did cook and found some markets. There is a hutch with letters and notes of recommendations of restaurants and menus was very helpful. Also there's a coffee shop just up the street in walking distance ( did this every morning) perfect. Great place !!! Has a washer and dryer so no more having to go up an elevator and doing laundry for 2- hours !! Yay!! Livingroom looks small but it's very spacious. There was 6 of us and plenty of room dining room was a bit small but didn't care much we just enjoyed it !!

Worth staying at

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at Mya's lovely home. We were very impressed with the quality of the accomodations and how well the place was furnished. It looked exactly like the photos...lots of space, well-proportioned rooms, great beds and a comfortable living room. The place definitely reflected excellent taste and maintenance. The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, along with cutlery for those who cook or even do a little cooking. We even took advantage of some herbs - thyme, rosemary, tarragon and chives - growing in small pots lined on the porch whenever we cooked. It was so helpful to have on hand so many things, ranging from spices to kitchen garbage bags. The kitchen also came with a wonderful gas range, dish washer and huge refrigerator. Having a washing machine and dryer on the premises was an added bonus. Clearly, there were all the amenities of home! Although we had a car which we parked very easily on the streets, we also did a lot of walking not only in the neighborhood but also to places beyond such as Parkway Bakery and Tavern on Hagan Street, Mandina's on Canal and Angelo Brocato's Italian Pastry Shop on North Carrolton. We are walkers but City Park is within easy walking distance and you can get good coffee and delicious beignets at Port Call, not to mention some good eating at local restaurants within walking distance of the house such as Luizza's by the Track, Santa Fe and The Half Shell. Two local supermarkets on Esplanade, Cansecos and Terrnanova, offer good services. Mya was always available by telephone or email and never failed to keep in touch. I definitely recommend this place highly!

Great Stay. I would recommend!

This place was great. There were little New Orleans touches around the condo (like Anne Rice books and a record player with jazz records) that made it feel like an authentic New Orleans home without being cheesy. The location was perfect, too. Right off a main, beautiful historic street with lots of places to eat and things to do and see. I was able to get to the French Quarter in 10 minutes in my car if I wanted, and it was only a mile from a major museum with beautiful walkways and picture opportunities. The driveway is very tight. I have an Impala and the mirrors almost touched the fence and house on both sides. So if you drive a huge truck I would suggest coming in a different car. The backyard space is small but enough to let a dog go to the restroom or to sit out and drink coffee or have a lunch. The parking is great but you CANNOT fit more than two cars back there, and the puzzle to get them in and out of the tight parking and driveway is a task, but not impossible. Its great just to have the off-street parking. I met some of the neighbors and they were very pleasant. Great neighborhood to walk down with children or a dog to look at the history of the area. Mya was wonderful. I called her several times after booking and she was always pleasant and nice to work with. She answered all my questions and helped me when I needed it. She really made me feel welcome in the condo. The only downside is the living room TV is small and in a very awkward location in the room. But considering we didn’t watch it much it wasn’t a big deal. I would stay here again.

Great place

We stayed here with a 13 year old and a 16 year old. We felt very safe in this location. We did not walk to the quarter but drove a few blocks and parked. Good coffee shop and restaurants nearby. Short drive to large groceries. The house was very comfortable with a nice yard for grilling and sitting. Wifi was not great - if you are depending on it. Otherwise, put the devices away and enjoy your surroundings! Mya was great to work with. I would stay here gain! (Sorry for the delay in reviewing. I did it on the way back to STL but I guess it didn't post.)

We also notice on one of our visits that wifi could be spotty in certain rooms so we learned about a wifi booster and the wifi has been great since. I only wish I had known about the booster sooner.
