What a great way to end our challenging year! So much better than a hotel stay. We look forward to coming back to this condo or your other one on Decatar St. Thanks again for you hospitality & warmth!

This studio was absolutely wonderful!!! Location was perfect, blocks from Frenchman's Street, around the corner to the French Market, and a few blocks down to Lafitte's for the best Hurricane ever! Very clean and quiet, just as portrayed in the photos! Cindy was great to work with and responded very quickly to the few questions we had. Looking forward to next years visit!!! I would highly recommend this property.

Fabulous - Location, Location, Location

  • 5 of 5
This was our first experience using VRBO and thanks to Cindy and Bill we have only great things to say about our experience. We had a few questions and Cindy answered them and was a great resource. It was location, location, location. It was a BFF week away, the apt was clean, safe and convenient. It's a short taxi ride from the airport. We put many miles on our feet exploring the French Quarter, Frenchman Street and the Garden District. There are many wonderful places to eat, bars to listen to great music (don't forget to hit Frenchman Street), shops to browse through and tours to take (Hop On/Hop Off Bus was great, a tour by Save our Cemeteries at St. Louis#1, Steamboat Nanchez) and we even took in many of the Mardi Gras Parades. So much to do and we only had 7 days, so we will return and will most definitely recommend to family and friends.

Get a way for two

  • 5 of 5
Great single bed apartment for two. If you are just looking for a place to lay your head -this is it! Very clean, safe neighborhood and convenient for walking all around the Quarter. It is as advertised. Usable galley kitchen, full bath and comfortable king sized bed. You are steps from Bourbon St. but far enough where late night revelry is not a factor. We did not rent or bring a car and parking does appear to be tight but for those walking this location can not be beat. There is a corner convenient store for quick pick ups (stock up on water!) and Clover Diner is open 24hr for late night munchies. We walked as far as Canal St with pedi cabs available for about $30 ride back with tip if necessary. Too many great place to eat and drink to list, however, the Ruby Slipper for breakfast and the Blacksmith Tavern for kick-off cocktails were regular favorites for our weekend. Cindy and Bill provide a great rental and we would definitely recommend to future travelers. The sign of a great review-we'll be back!

Great perch from which to enjoy NOL

  • 5 of 5
Having met in NOL in 1975, my wife and I were delighted to visit our favorite city and stay at the far end where we infrequently visited. Our time was spent walking the Quarter, eating great food, and enjoying our wonderful room. For us, breakfast at Stanley's, lunch at Commander's Palace (ride the Street Car and enjoy the .25 cent martinis!), and dinner at Sobou, Red Fish, or K-Pauls were all just the trick. The weather was fantastic, and we did not have nor need a car -- our favorite Transportation Engineers -- Henry Lee Tennessee and his nephew Daniel, squired us back and forth to and from the airport. We were pleased with the space in our room and how pleasingly quiet it was. Many thanks for a memorable stay!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment is spotless; the bed quite comfortable; the kitchen is cute and useful. The photos are accurate though do not show the beautiful old wood floors. The location is great. We will definitely return. (Do need to bring soap and shampoo, but dishes and coffee pot and wine glasses are provided,)

From the Owner

We love the safety of the area & convenience of walking to many locations. When you walk outside the Condo there is so much to see and do you won't know what direction you want to go in. Take a right and walk almost one block and across the street you will see Port Of Call. A famous hamburger resturant which is also known for its famous drink, Monsoon. Take a left and walk about 4 blocks and you will see Frenchmen St. Take a left on Frenchmen and as you walk down the block you will have a choice of several bar and restaurants with live entertainment. If you don't take a left on Frenchmen St. then walk another block and take a right and you will be headed to the French Market. If you don't feel like heading left or right, then walk stright down Bourbon St. and get ready for the time of your life. When headed down Bourbon, stop at 941 Bourbon St. and visit the oldest bar in the U.S. 'Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar. It was established around 1772.
