We are a family of five who have lived most of our lives here in San Francisco. We have also traveled extensively and love to stay in the local neighborhoods in apartments or homes.

We love San Francisco and the uniqueness of each neighborhood. When we decided to raise our kids in the city, we

prioritized the ability to be close to restaurants, outdoor activities and the ability to walk/bike ride around town. Our place is not only very central but is is also in the flats which makes it very easy to just open the door and start walking to the inevitable activities and adventures the city offers. Plus, should we decide to drive somewhere, there is a calming factor of knowing we can just pull into the garage when we get home and we don't have to worry about finding a parking spot.

Keywords: This spacious, light filled home is located in the heart of Cow Hollow and features four bedrooms and four full bathrooms. Extensively rebuilt in 2000, the combined kitchen / living / dining room has vaulted ceilings, skylights, and a fireplace, making it the perfect space for entertaining guests or for a quiet dinner at home. Adjacent to this living area is a south-facing patio with landscaping and a water fountain where sunny afternoons can be enjoyed. The master bedroom suite includes a fireplace, walk-in closet, large soaking tub, and another patio. There are three additional bedrooms - two upstairs sharing a 'Jack and Jill' bathroom - and a separate fourth bedroom (used as office) with an adjacent bath. The upper bedrooms have access to a deck with great views of the Golden Gate Bridge. On the lower level, just off the main entrance to the home, is a wonderful entertainment space with a pool table and a separate, quiet movie/game/play room.

My family group of seven greatly enjoyed our recent stay at this house. The house itself is immaculate and well-furnished. Thanks to the bedroom/bathroom layout, everyone was able to spread out and relax after a day of exploring San Francisco. Our two teenagers particularly enjoyed the rec room. We were there to watch some America's Cup races, and the house is an easy 15 minute walk to the Marina district, where it is very easy to watch the races from the shore and pick up souvenirs at the AC Village. The Cow Hollow neighborhood offers many good choices for dining and shopping, and the owners of the house provide a very helpful list of suggestions regarding neighborhood amenities. Another benefit of this house is the single car garage, as parking spaces on the street in Cow Hollow are at a premium. Just note that the garage works for standard size cars or smaller, but cannot accomodate a larger SUV or van. All in all, a great experience, and I would gladly stay at this house again for a vacation or small group event!

Just to clarify, the garage DOES accommodate cars and regular size mini-vans (we park our Toyota Sienna in the garage when we are home). Larger Suburban's or vans with greater than 7 passenger seating will not fit BUT can be parked legally on the street in front of the driveway

High end property with exceptionally good care and service from the owners

I wanted to thank Mike and his family for a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

The property is exactly as described and we found the standard to be exceptionally high. Our children particularly appreciated the extensive games rooms and the pool table.

All the fittings and fixtures were new and of very good quality - a real high quality home from home. The house is spacious, well equipped and very clean and tidy. We usually stay in the more expensive designer homes when we travel and this met all our expectations.

In particular Mike provides a caring and excellent service - his communication was first class and he met us at the house on time as arranged - he provided a great list of places to visit and the booking process was smooth and professional. On arrival Mike thought there may be a problem with the hot water (there was not in the end) but he moved heaven and earth to ensure that it would be remedied and was concerned and proactive about the comfort and welfare of his visitors.

The property is situated in a fabulous area. There are dozens of great restaurants and cafes just a minutes walk away as well as good shopping and night life too. We were able to walk to the bay and hire bikes which we used for the duration of our stay. We didn't think we would leave our car in the garage, but it stayed there the whole time as the location really is superb. Just to mention the garage can fit a large seven seat mini van (just)

Also I wanted to thank Mike for the nice touches - he heard that I and my Wife had just got married before arriving and we found a bottle of champagne waiting for us, This is just one example of a decent person going above and beyond in providing a considerate and professional service for his guests.

I have no hesitation in recommending Mike's place to stay to have a great vacation or stopover in San Francisco - we definitely would rent again when we next visit.

Great hosue excellent location

We loved the house!!

It is in a great Location two blocks from the Marina district perfect for kids and a very safe area. The house is spacious and well kept, very nice Gourmet Kitchen with plenty of utensils should you want to use them. Rigo the house manager was very helpfull and did some shoping for us on the first day.

We love the experience and would recomended without hesitation.

Wonderful choice.

This family offers a wondrful vacation home rental located in the Cow Hollow area of San Francisco that is perfect for easy access to everything you could want to do and see there. Fisherman's Wharf, The Presidio, Golden Gate Park, and many more attractions are only minutes away. Cow Hollow is a hip and trendy area with all of what you would expect to feel from San Francisco. Located in the "flats" area, makes it an easy walk to all of the many great restaurants and shops located nearby. The home itself is multi-level and luxurious, but not the kind of luxurious that makes you feel uncomfortable. Very well appointed with everything you could possibly need, bright, open and and full of "family" charm. If you are traveling to San Francisco as a samll group or family you couldn't ask for a more beautiful and perfect base camp.

Amazing House and Great Location!

This home was simply amazing, better than I could have expected. I had never used VRBO before and wasn't sure what to really expect. The listing lived up to everything it said and was even better than what the pictures showed. It was the perfect house and location for a week in San Francisco. Everything was new, clean and very comfortable. There was plenty to do for both adults and kids with all the tv's, pool table, dart board and just sitting on the porch or top deck relaxing. The owner made you feel right at home, the minute you walked in. The house and all the amenities were Simply Amazing! I also absolutely loved the location. It was pefect because it was one block off Lombard and two blocks from Chestnut Street. Therefore, you were only seconds away from plenty of great restaurants, coffee shops, shopping and night life. My family really liked; Barneys Gourmet Burgers, Mels Diner, City Tavern and the pizza place around the corner on Fillmore. (Cool pizza place, if you get one of the private rooms for 5 or more, and the pizza was exellent). The other nice thing about the location was you could get anywhere in the city very easily, either by car, bus and some parts walking (Chestnut St., Palace of Fine Arts, marina, Ghirardelli Square and Fishermans Wharf). The crooked part of Lombard Street was only a few minutes drive and because of the close proximity we drove it multiple times. If you have a car, which isn't necessary because of the public transportation, getting around was simple and having the garage at the house, was a huge plus. Also, it wasn't on a busy street which made it nice for coming and going especially if heading North across the Golden Gate Bridge which was only a few minutes drive away. I don't know what else to say except that the house, location and friendliness of the owner was more than I expected. It just made for an absolutely wonderful vacation and I would recommend this property to anyone. You will not be dissapointed! Thanks for such a wonderful Stay!

Location! Location! Location! It is crazy how close to everything this house is. When inside, it is a quiet oasis and cozy home and then when you open the front door you are instantly in the heart of all activity, restaurants, near parks, libraries, bike paths, etc. 8 BLOCKS FROM AMERICA's CUP VIEWING! On top of that, there is no need to find a parking spot (as the house has an attached garage) or worry about feeding meters/getting tickets/moving your car. Also, Cow Hollow has some of the best weather in SF.

Incredibly easy access to the Palace of Fine Arts/ Exploratorium, the Presidio, the Disney Museum and to bicycle over the Golden Gate Bridge and have lunch in Sausalito. You can walk or bus to Chinatown and North Beach and Lombard Street....and so much more. You are literally a football's throw to the famous 'Triangle/Balboa Cafe' and in between Chestnut and Union Streets-where you will find San Francisco's best restaurants and night life. Never a dull moment and a fantastic location to experience SF in a very 'locals' way.

We love our home as there is a 'great room' that gives us space to be together, play games and have friends over. It is 3300 sq feet and has a downstairs level that will entertain all types of people for hours. There is a pool table, foosball, pingpong table, and a movie room that is also a great escape. The house is spacious and has 'together' space but there are also plenty of nooks to escape to if you want to be alone. Two of my favorite escapes are taking a book to the outside balcony with a view of the GG Bridge or soaking in the master suite tub.
