Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-5)

In the heart of the French Quarter, this lovely and secluded pied a terre is just four and a half blocks away from Jackson Square and ½ a block from Armstrong Park. Dating back to the early 1800’s, this stucco structure was the slave quarter to the main house, and both are excellent examples of early Creole architecture. The neighborhood was that of free people of color and the famed Voodoo priestess, Marie Laveau, lived just two doors away. This beautifully furnished and appointed residence sleeps five and consists of two bedrooms with one bath between and a large fully furnished kitchen. A balcony with stunning roof top views is accessible from both bedrooms and overlooks a large courtyard that guests have full access to. There are laundry facilities on the premises. Cable and internet are both provided

Great French Quarter place

  • 4 of 5
This was a great place to stay near the French Quarter without having the obnoxious noise that usually comes with that location. Well appointed, fluffy towels, clean rooms. It's got a great courtyard to sit and hang out (just wish it had a little more light at night -- a string of bulb lights would fix that nicely and add ambiance). The alleyway could also use more light, as locking the gate behind you was a bit tricky in the dark. When you close the shutters at night, it's super dark, so sleeping is great. Although a night light in each room would be nice too! The owner Lee was super helpful with recommendations for shops and restaurants -- she even called Broussard's for us to get us in to Mother's Day jazz brunch! Not recommended for the elderly, as the bedrooms & bathrooms are up a very steep set of stairs. But perfect for a romantic getaway & a girls' trip!

Never wanted to leave!

When we booked our stay for Jazz Fest in January I couldn't believe this property was still available. The courtyard is amazing! We traveled with a giant group of friends from Lake Tahoe, all staying at various locations in New Orleans, but the private courtyard in front of the property was our "base" to meet and regroup before we ventured out, because of the location and because it is so beautiful! The beds were super comfortable! The shower head has amazing water pressure. There's a private balcony where my friend and I sat and ate beignets in the morning. But, the best thing about this property is the location! St. Ann is probably one of the best streets for women to be able to walk home alone at night and feel totally safe. If you are familiar with The French Quarter, then you know why. Lee is super nice and informative. We missed her dog this trip, but we will be back!

We were VRBO newbies .... not anymore !!!

Stayed for 4 nights during Jazzfest, and loved this place. The apartment / rental was just the right size for the 4 of us ( 2 couples) . Had looked around on the websites, difficult to find a place ith 2 seperate bedrooms, this place had it all !!! Lee was very informative, and nothing was to much of a bother, we texted her a few times about places she had recommended during our "arrival speech", and she always helpful ( she even called us a taxi for ride back to airport !)
Our first VRBO was here, and would definately not hesitate to book again .

An Oasis of Tranquility in the Best Part of Town

  • 5 of 5
We were within walking distance of everywhere in the Quarter, including music on Frenchman Street. Best of all, the beautiful courtyard to just sit and relax between excursions and late at night. Everything was clean and comfortable and the owner is very helpful. We will stay here on our next trip to the city we have grown to love. Tips: Best bar: Bar Tonique; Great restaurants: Commander's, K-Paul, Green Goddess, Dooky Chase; Music Venues: Maison, Little Gem, Rock 'n' Bowl

Great place, Great people, Great location!

  • 5 of 5
My friends and I (4 of us) stayed over during the Mardi Gras week and we were pleasantly surprised by the place. Beds were really comfortable and all the necessary appliances were included (functional kitchen with stove & fridge, washing machine). The location is just great: in the heart of French Quarter, 2 mins from Bourbon Street and 30 seconds from Louis Armstrong Park. The courtyard outside the house is very nice and well-maintained. Rose & Co. (the owners) were great as well: full of nice stories about the city and suggestions of places to visit. Would go back anytime and recommending it to everyone !

If you are planning to visit during Winter or Mardi Gras, be sure to bring warm clothes though, as it can be surprisingly cold at night.

great location; comfortable quarters

Stayed at the apartment while in Nola for a conference. The location was perfect in that we could easily access all the restaurants, bars, and clubs while I short walk to Canal Street for conference. The balcony and courtyard were major enhancements. The weather was nice so we spent time relaxing on the courtyard in early morning and late afternoon. Would definitely book again for my next trip.
