Guestbook comments from the owner

We love your home! We had a wonderful time and got so comfortable there we didn’t want to leave. It was such a nice, cozy, and clean home with all the amenities one could need. We loved every details of design and decorations down to the night lights. Everything exudes the feeling of warm, comfort, and beauty and speaks of its tending by an owner with an impeccable taste.

The memory we had was even more special as our en route to Big bear was nothing short of a disaster. My husband lost our car keys at the Walmart where we stopped to get chains for the tires. Then in the absolute darkness and cold pouring rain that came with the snow storm, we realized the chains we got were too short for the tires, and while trying to work the chains, one of the lenses from my husband’s glasses felt off and nearly got swept away by the rain. By the time we got to the cabin, it was close to mid night, we were soaking wet, cold hungry, with crying kids. It really could have been a trip to hell, but your cabin made up for it all – In the end, it was a trip of wonder for us and our little ones especially, because we felt in love with your home, and the snow did the rest of the work.

Thanks for sharing such a fantastic place!!!

6 star Charming cabin

  • 5 of 5
Myself, husband, 2 kids (6) (8), my mom,our big dog and our 2 friends went up to big bear for a relaxing few days. When we arrived at the cabin we instantly fell in love!! Debra keeps her second 3 story home very clean, well stocked, cozy, and nicely decorated! The kitchen had everything that we needed there was plenty of wood too! Towels for the hot tub and showers were provided. The deck was AMAZING! The hot tub was brand new and easy to operate. There is a very easy hike about 1 block away and we had a fun little adventure The view from the deck was awesome. The cabin is up a hill in a very quiet area and only took minutes to get down the hill to the grocery store and about 15 min to the small village and snow summit. Alpine slides is 10 min :) we are already thinking about booking another trip we loved it so much! Also Lewis the property's manager was extremely helpful and nice :)

Great big bear cabin in Moonridge area

  • 5 of 5
Our family loved staying in this great cabin! It is very well kept and had amazing christmas decorations for our holiday trip. Our kids loved the sled hill on the back of the property and the large hot tub. The location is very close to Big Bear Mountain where we went skiing. Highly recommend! Only issue, but people said this is common in Big Bear is that it was a pain for us to hall our own trash down to the dump, I would have paid more to have the cleaning crew do this if possible.

Owner's Response: I realize taking the trash to the dump can be somewhat inconvenient, I have to do it as well after every stay at my cabin. It certainly could have been arranged to have my property manager remove it, for a fee, but no such request was made.

Pure Heaven up in the mountains!

  • 5 of 5
We were two families looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy life in LA - this place fit the bill! the place was very clean the kitchen was fully stocked. (On our 2nd day we made chili in the provided crockpot!)
we loved the big deck & hot tub. We made a roaring fire in the living room fireplace & played board games & watched football! The kids loved having their own rooms downstairs and the upstairs bedrooms were cozy & comfortable. We were close by to the zoo and the Alpine slide and also did a hike at Snow Summit. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be returning.

Having grown up in the mountains of upstate NY I have always dreamed of owning a cabin in the woods. Presently living in Las Vegas, Big Bear seemed like the perfect choice for our second home. We fell in love with this cabin the moment we stepped out on the deck and experienced the peacefulness of the forest setting.
