The Sand 11 is a spacious two bedroom apartment right on Santa Monica beach, just steps to the sand, close to some of Santa Monica’s finest hotels such as Casa Del Mar, Loews and Shutters. Why pay up to three times as much for the same views? Across from the bike path and walking distance from the beautiful Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade, Main Street Shops, theatres, art galleries and an abundance of cafes and restaurants. Rent one of our beach cruiser bicycles and bike to the famous Venice Beach boardwalk in less than 5 minutes.

Enjoy picture perfect ocean and beach views from this spacious two bedroom apartment, located on the top floor of a fully restored 3-story building, with magnificent ocean views all across the front of the apartment! Comfortably furnished, with over 900 square feet of bright living space. Glass sliding doors open to a small balcony at the front of the unit, facing the ocean. The apartment has wood floors throughout the living and dining room area with carpeting in the bedroom. Enjoy watching a DVD, an HBO movie or your favorite TV series on a 32" TV from a comfortable sleeper sofa in the living room or check your emails or surf the web from anywhere in our apartment with our high speed wireless internet access.

The master bedroom has a high quality pillow top Queen mattress, to help give you a great night sleep. A large closet and armoire provide you with ample storage space. The second bedroom has two comfortable twin sized beds and more closet space. An adjacent beautifully tiled bathroom is equipped with a combined tub/shower.

Enjoy ocean views from the kitchen while preparing a meal. The kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances including oven, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher, and comes fully equipped with everything you need.

A stackable washer and dryer is located inside the unit. The apartment comes with a secure carport parking space.

As with most beach properties along the California Coastline, this property is not equipped with an A/C unit. With average beach temperatures ranging from 65 to 75 degrees year round, air conditioning is not generally needed in our beach areas. For our warmer days, each of our beach properties is equipped with portable ventilator fans which, when combined with open windows, allow the fresh ocean air to circulate and cool your property to a very pleasant temperature.

Wonderful place close to the beach

Our 2 bedroom condo was well stocked with a fully functional kitchen and parking, which is great for the area! The building manager was very helpful and responsive to our needs during our stay. We loved how close the building was to everything, especially being able to walk to the beaches and shopping in downtown Santa Monica. We also drove to the outlets which was great!

The property was excellent value and well positioned and worked out much cheaper than renting 2 hotel rooms. If anything a TV in the master bedroom would have been handy and the bathroom is quite small. Everything else was great and I would certainly recommend. Views of the beach were awesome.
Global were great, we had some issues with arrival and departure times and they were most accommodating in helping us out. We used the concierge and they were also very helpful.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.

Wonderful condo right on the beach

The condo is in a great location, across the street from the beach and bike path with sunset views and a small balcony. The layout of the kitchen, living room and dining room are ideal for relaxing with the family, and the bedrooms are nice and quiet with good beds, pillows and linens. Whole Foods is just 5 min. away. The staff was friendly, responsive and helpful.
Just a few minor issues you should be aware of:
- No elevators
- The condo feels "lived in". Hardwood floors, carpets etc. are not brand new. But we didn't mind at all. In fact we would still pick this condo rather than the sterile feel of a hotel room
- The parking is tight and requires backing up through a narrow gate. Our Ford Fusion was OK, a bigger car would be trickier to get in and out

Overall we loved it and had a very relaxing stay. We would definitely stay there again.

In the mornings, we take a stroll with our pup down the lush walkstreet leading to the beach. On Wednesdays, Rick is selling fresh organic fruits and veggies in front of his home. Sometimes fresh cut flowers too! As we cross the small street, we pass Creative Chakra Holistic Spa - a health and wellness spa ran by our friend Sandy. As you hit the beach, we're at the end of the Venice Pier parking lot. To the left you can take a long tranquil stroll on the sand to the getty, the entrance of the marina where boats are coming in and out. To the right, follow the oceanfront pathway to the heart of Venice. Experience the carnaval experience of the boardwalk, visit the many restaurants, bars and shops.
