About the Owner

Our family loves the mountains and purchased this cabin to get away from the hustle and bustle of Southern CA... and to escape the heat of the Inland Empire. We love to hike, ski, fish, bike and snow shoe. Our grandchildren love to come up to play whether there is snow or not. The zoo, museum, and the Discovery Center are all favorite places to visit. When we arrive we feel instantly at peace and hope you get that same feeling when you visit.

This is my family's 2nd vist to Big Bear and we stayed in the same cabin twice. We always have a great time in the cabin and the hot tub is my kids favorite. We like the cleanliness of the cabin and how cozy it feels. We would stay at the same cabin again. The cabin has everything we needed and we like how new it looks inside. Can't imagine a better cabin for the same price.

our family had a fabulous 4 days just this past weekend. If you want a CLEAN, comfortable, well supplied, cozy and did I mention "CLEAN?" get away? This is it! All of the beds were excellent. Lots of blankets and towels. The spa was wonderful and the seating was great in the living area and the kitchen. We've rented lots of properties and this is one of the best yet. we are already looking forward to our next trip back.
thanks again so much Susan

Our family really enjoyed this 3 bedroom 2 bathroom cabin. This cabin has all the comforts of home. When you step into this cabin you immediately feel at home. The furnishings are well kept and comfortable. You can tell that the owner Susan wants you to enjoy your stay at her cabin. The WIFI is fast and everyone was able to log on to their phone, tablets or laptop. Very clean and well maintained. This cabin has a jacuzzi, but it was a little to cold for us to use this time out.
My family didn't want to leave and they asked me if we come back can we stay here again. I told them yes and maybe we can stay longer next time.
Susan, thank you for sharing your home with us. We had a memorable time and look forward to our next mini vacation.

Our family of four recently stayed at the cabin for a long week end. It instantly felt very homie and enjoyable. The cabin was very clean, the decor was just beautiful, we liked the attention to details, absolutely nothing was missing, we had everything we needed. Lots of supplies! We enjoyed the fireplace, the jacuzzi , the quietness of the niberghood
Our only thing was we tought the bed(mattress) in master was way too soft, but that is probably a personal preference. Other than than, perfect and if /when we go back to big bear: no need to look for a cabin, Susan's Cabin will be the one for sure!

Owner's Response: I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at my cabin!! I try very hard to make every guest comfortable and I am so glad you noticed the attention to detail I strive to maintain, thank you.
I realize that mattresses are a personal preference but I do want to appeal to most. So I decided to replace the mattress with a brand new one this weekend. In my opinion the one I chose is the perfect blend of not to hard or soft, just a very comfortable mattress.
Can't wait to have you return!

Beautiful Cabin

  • 5 of 5
My family recently stayed at Susan's cabin and fell in love. Susan (owner) and Nick (property mgr) were kind and very accomodating. The location was quite with a short walk to the forest. The home was beautiful, clean, and well stocked with supplies. Our 2yr old loved playing in the backyard and there was a highchair in the cabin already. Easy commute to Big Bear Lake (10mins or less). Our family is looking forward to staying here again.
