Great stay

  • 5 of 5
Lance was extremely responsive and worked with our group (two young couples) to provide an early check in. The apartment was perfect for 4 people and had everything we needed - hair dryer, washer/dryer in kitchen, plenty of pillows and blankets, and wi-fi. Right off Magazine St. and only 4-5 blocks from the street car, it was the perfect location and had plenty to do in the area when we wanted something low key. Definitely recommend!

Myself, my husband and another couple stayed here for a long weekend of bike riding around New Orleans. The location and accomodations were perefect in every way. Lance was very quick to respond to any issues or needs. We felt very safe in this location. We will absolutley return again for another stay.

Cute condo off Magazine - perfect for small families or two young couples

  • 5 of 5
This unit is a tidy, recently renovated vintage shotgun apartment in NOLA. Up a flight of stairs about one building off Magazine Street - but a surprisingly quiet and very safe area. No loud bars or neighbors. (I had been concerned that there would be a lot of noise from two nearby hospitals, but didn't hear anything.) Walk two mins to Magazine Bus #11, ten minutes to St Charles St streetcar, or ten minutes in either direction on Magazine to more restaurants, bars and shops than you could possibly hit in a week - we tried, and failed. (You don't need a car, but there is offstreet parking).

The unit is tastefully decorated; nothing over the top, just simple furniture and a couple of pieces of art to give it a bit of personality (but not so much to go over board). King sized bed and ceiling fan in master is a nice touch. Plenty of storage space and a washer/dryer in unit. Shower was clean and works well. Off-street parking. Lance the owner is a nice guy and attempts to accommodate his guests' needs and requests the best that he can.

I think it's great value for money, as long as you're comfortable being a bit farther out from the Quarter (as a repeat visitor, I think that's a feature, not a bug) and aren't looking for some über modern, new build fancy pants condominium/mansion. It ain't the latter, but if you spend all of your time in your lodging while in NOLA, you're really missing the point.

Great apartment and stay

  • 5 of 5
Just spent a month in this apartment and it definitely met my needs and expectations. Great location right off of Magazine Street and close by to many great restaurants (try Baru, which is right across Magazine or Atchafalaya which is nearby on Louisiana - both excellent restaurants). Grocery store is within easy walking distance as is a Walgreens. Although I rented a car, I also used the public transportation system (bus and street car) which couldn't be easier to access from the apartment - either the bus which runs down Magazine St or an easy stroll to St Charles Blvd for the street car.

As for Lance, he was a most hospitable host. When my suitcase failed to show up after my flight to NO, Lance loaned me some clothes to help me out which I definitely appreciated. Other than that, I didn't see him much but knew that if I did happen to need him, he lived downstairs below the apartment.

As for the apartment, it was very comfortable and clean with fine amenities including high def big screen tv and washer/dryer. I added a few extra items to the kitchen utensils "stockpile" as I was staying a month and probably cooked dinner a bit more than the average guest(s) would.

All in all, a great stay in a great apartment in a great city.

Great family vacation spot.

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I and our kids (ages 19,16, and 9) all loved New Orleans and this condo was a comfortable, clean, and convenient place to stay. Lance was great with communication and we all were very happy with our home away from home. We would definitely stay here again -- convenient location, handy parking, and all the essential comforts of home.
