About the Owner

We are a military family with two young boys living in Alexandria, VA. My wife is from Kingsport, TN and we have always enjoyed visiting Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Since we spend so much time in the area we decided to purchase a cabin we could enjoy and share with others.

Truly a Private Paradise

  • 5 of 5
This was our second stay at Private Paradise. And, we'll be back again! Love the quiet. The cabin was clean and inviting - both times. Mike has been very accommodating and always gracious. This time we met our daughter and her family who live in Tennessee for a soccer tournament at the Sports Complex. First time we stayed, it was in early December and the cabin was decorated for Christmas.

Kitchen was fully furnished with what we needed and no dirty dishes were found - neither in the dishwasher nor cabinets. Rocking chairs on the back deck were a welcome addition to our previous stay.

One suggestion - Yes, only one! It would be nice to have some dark washcloths in the bathrooms for removing makeup. Hate using the provided white ones and leaving makeup stains on them! We once stayed in a cabin where a single navy washcloth was folded on each of the bathroom sinks with a note, requesting it be used to remove makeup. Great idea.

We have visited Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville every year for the past 22. And, have stayed in quite a few different cabins. This is the best 3 bedroom we have found.

Perfect birthday getaway

  • 5 of 5
I rented this lovely home to celebrate my 25th birthday with friends. The location was perfect- so private and quiet! One of our favorite moments was watching an incredible thunderstorm from the covered hot tub.
The cabin was pristine when we arrived, and the checkout procedure was a breeze! Mike was incredibly helpful leading up to our stay and even provided suggestions for activities that we should look into during our stay. He answered all of my questions promptly and the local company in Gatlinburg was helpful with any questions while we were actually on the property.
Highly recommended- I can't wait to return!

Private Paradise

The home was very nice. Great for parents with kids. The kids loved the pool table. The only thing I had against it, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and cabinets. But I would stay there again.

Spring Break Success

  • 5 of 5
I had reserved two hotel rooms in downtown Gatlinburg via internet. The hotel is a nationally known name and its reputation is top notch. Unfortunately, the "suite" I had reserved was not what I felt I had viewed via the internet images provided. I had my parents and a disabled aunt coming from West Tennessee and I was coming from South Carolina with my two children. Needless to say when we got to the hotel I was up in arms as to what do I do now. I got on my Smartphone and searched for cabins that I felt would meet our requirements. Private Paradise is where God led us. The owner was very patient with my frazzled indecisive self. He was professional and very accommodating. Another party had just left the cabin and it was not yet serviced by the cleaning staff. He had the cleaning staff onsite ASAP and everything looked great upon our arrival. Also, once "checked out" of the cabin our security deposit was returned in a timely manner.

I can't remember the last time my family had such a wonderful time together. There was more than enough room to hang out yet still have privacy at the end of the day. My son loved the pool table and the hot tub was a hit! My aunt was so excited she wanted to send the owner a hand written note about her experience. She is a world traveler and was so excited about staying in such joyful accommodations. It was a true experience for her.

The cabin was beautiful and located close enough to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg to get into town quickly to see the sites. There was also a well priced grocery store right at the base of the access road leading to the main strip of Gatlinburg, It actually snowed while we were there and it was magical. The big open windows provided a breathtaking view of the falling snowflakes while sitting in front of the gas instant fireplace. I truly felt at home here and would loved to have stayed longer. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making our Spring Break aka Mini Family Reunion an awesome experience!

Great cabin!

  • 5 of 5
The cabin was great! Very clean! The hot tub and fireplace were great! The only downside was that the washer/dryer were old and the dryer took forever (3 cycles) to dry our wet towels! The security system was nice and we definitely felt safe! The drive into Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge was about 25 minutes each way! Our stay was great! We really enjoyed it!

Amenities

From the Owner

The cabin was built in 2006 and we just finished completely rennovating the cabin inside and out. The exterior has been stained and everything inside has been replaced. All the beds, furniture and most of the appliances are brand new and of the highest quality. Because the cabin is located on a dead end gravel drive you won't have to worry about traffic or noise. You can wake up every morning to the relaxing sounds of nature. You also see plenty of wildlife in the area.
