1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, 4 Sleeps

Live like a Seattleite in one of our privately owned one bedroom urban condominiums in the heart of downtown Seattle. Walkscore.com rates our location a “walker’s paradise” with a 96 out of 100 walkability score. Our location, next to the Washington State Convention Center, 8 blocks from the Pike Place Market and near all major medical facilities (ie. Virginia Mason, Swedish Hospital, Polyclinic, Harborview Medical Center, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center) is ideal whether you are staying in Seattle for business, vacation or medical treatment. Each of our one bedroom condos have a king bed in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. We also manage several two bedroom condos and a large one bedroom penthouse condo which will sleep up to six people if you need a larger property.

Whether planning a short term or extended stay in this magnificent city, Seattle Suites is here to help you make your visit a memorable one.

The Pike/Pine Corridor, recently call ”Sesame Street for Grownups” by Seattle Met magazine, has become one of Seattle’s most popular and trendy downtown neighborhoods. It is an eclectic mix of businesses, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, theaters and pubs. From the Elektra head west on Pike and you will be in the middle of all that downtown has to offer. Or stroll east up Pike to discover true Seattle neighborhood culture. Check out the kitschy shops and pick up a great read at the Elliott Bay bookstore before lunching at Boom Noodle or other favorite neighborhood restaurant. Don’t forget to save room for dessert at Cupcake Royal on your way back home. Living at the Elektra you will be steps from all the usual Seattle landmarks while immersing yourself in our urban chic Seattle culture.

About the Owner

Becki Snellenberg, Owner and Manager since 1998.

Travelling internationally for 16 years as a management consultant with Microsoft I learned how challenging business travel can be. My best experiences were when I stayed in furnished apartments rather than hotels. I was glad to give up hotel services to stay in a homelike environment with a full kitchen and experience living like a local, particularly when my family travelled with me. After adopting two more children I decided it was time to give up the travelling life and stay closer to home. Starting up this business was just a natural for me. I look forward to helping you make your stay in Seattle a memorable one.

This is a perfect place to stay, especially if you are attending an event at hte Convention Center. Everything is just a short walk away. I'm planning on coming back when I can spend more time and see more of the city.

Very close to the WSCC and flexible management - would recommend.

Cons: dogs leave presents everywhere outside the condo, there is often a strong cigarette smell from neighbors that seeps through the doors and walls closest to that neighbor. There is no fan in the bathroom to vent air or humidity. The hide-a-bed has the classic bar across the center that is about an inch higher than the foot or head of the bed, causing you to bend backwards over it no matter which way you lie. I was able to jam pillows under to kind of level it enough to sleep. Then it wasn't so bad.

Pro's:
It was really nice to have a kitchenette and table and air conditioner / fans. There were lots of towels for everyone and extra blankets for my cold-blooded wife. The management was EXTREMELY accommodating regarding leaving our gear and vehicle in the place until the end of the day, since there were no other folks moving in immediately. Parking was tight, but again, a complete luxury, given the proximity to the WSCC. Also, the parking area was secure. Would definitely recommend and will use again.

Convenient, well equipped condo

  • 4 of 5
We ended up in the 2 bedroom condo at Electra. The photos are up to date and the room looks exactly like it does in the photos on the website. The owner was great even though we arrived hours after our ETA! Very convenient location. You can walk everywhere without too much effort. The condo is updated nicely. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds are comfy and the linens are nice. There are plenty of towels. The air conditioners were a blessing as it was quite hot while we were there. The only issue that people should be aware of is parking. The parking spots are very tiny although for us it was great as we parked on arrival and only left on our way out of town. I would definitely stay here agin.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5
What a treat! My family (husband and two teenagers) chose Seattle suites as we wanted something different and it was a nice alternative to hotel. Property is located within walking distance to downtown Seattle where a lot of the major attractions are located. Very easily accessible from SeaTac Airport and close to the monorail The apartment is clean and very cozy and the little personal touches provided were appreciated. Our stay was very comfortable and it help to add to an overall pleasant 1st trip for my teens and I.

Seattle visit

  • 4 of 5
We spent a week at the Seattle Suites and we were very pleased with our stay. The location was perfect as we could Walk anywhere we wanted to go. We did have a car and the availability of a garage was helpful. The parking was a bit tight but got easier with practice.
Doug was very helpful and available for any questions. We would stay again.

We stayed in this rental for a week...was very comfortable & convenient. the apartment is located about a block away from the convention center...central to everything! we walked to safeco field & pike place market...could have walked to space needle. (as i told the manager, if i could have packed that couch & bed to take home, i would have! soooo comfy!) the parking & laundry facilities on site were awesome. we will absolutely look to stay here again when we come back to seattle.

Family affair

  • 3 of 5
The apartment was as described and a fair value for the price. Check in was smooth. Just a few other nuisances particularly with an $85. cleaning fee, even though the contract specifies the charge is $75, which they did not want to refund. Didn't go a long way towards "Good Will". Know how to use a French Press Coffee maker or you are stuck for there is not another way to make coffee in the apartment. Years of bread crumb build up in the toaster. Ice cube trays in fridge cracked and leaking. No broom and dust pan in sight for sweeping up. Inside of toilet looks as if it has not been cleaned in a very long time. We cleaned the AC filter and it appeared to never have been cleaned...completely clogged. The mattress in sofa bed was nothing more than a piece of foam. We could feel the metal bars from the bed through the foam.

Owner's Response: This tenant contacted us at the beginning of her stay questioning a paragraph she found which she thought stipulated a $75 cleaning fee. I pointed out that she was looking at wording which said tenants have the option to schedule additional cleanings during their stay for $75. The up-front cleaning fee had always stipulated $85. She thanked me for pointing that out. She did not indicate any other issues existed for her nor did she express displeasure with the cleaning quality. She did not request any kind of refund. We stand by our cleaning quality and if a tenant ever feels that there is a problem with the quality of cleaning we happily send our cleaners back to correct anything they may have overlooked. If we miss items that are broken (i.e ice cube trays) or missing (ie broom) we just need to hear from you to take care of the problem. We do provide French presses in the condos but have automatic coffee makers available upon request. We go out of our way to ensure a pleasant stay for our guests and do everything we can to address any nuisances during your stay provided we are told about them.

Location

From the Owner

Fabulous location in the heart of downtown. We bought here because we were impressed by the style of a 1940's building which was updated to condos in the 1990's. The updates were tastefully done while retaining much of the charm of the era. The Elektra Homeowners' CC&R's specifically allow for rentals of 3 days or more making this a great place to buy for owners who wanted to keep a second home in the city, or who find that they need to travel extensively in their profession and have their units empty much of the time. These are the owners we represent. Our owners invest a lot of personal care into maintaining their units because they want to feel as if they are welcoming guests into their own home - which is exactly what they are doing. We have so enjoyed hosting people from all over the country and the world coming to Seattle for temporary work, for relocation, to attend conventions, for medical treatment, to visit family or just to experience this fabulous city and all that it has to offer

Activity and Interests

Within walking distance of all major downtown Seattle attractions including the Pike Place Market, Art Museum, shopping, theaters, restaurants, sports stadiums, pioneer square, waterfront, aquarium, space needle, Experience Music Project, Chihuly Museum as well as major medical centers and charming boutique neighborhoods.

Amenities

From the Owner

Walking distance to theater, restaurants, shopping, Pike Place Market, Waterfront, Museums, nightlife. Tucked into a quiet side street next to the Convention Center, we escape much of the ordinary noise and street traffic you would find in a downtown area, yet are steps from all the life, vibrancy and activity that downtown has to offer. The trendy Pike Pine neighborhood is one of the most up and coming neighborhoods in Seattle. Our guests also enjoy the convenience of nearby grocery stores, restaurants and shops of any small neighborhood. For those coming to town to access some of the finest medical facilities in the country, we are also very close. We are two blocks from Virginia Mason and easy walking distance to Swedish and Harborview hospitals.
