About the Owner

We live in Louisville, KY. and vacationed in Eastern TN often. We love the area and can't get enough of the beautiful national park. We decided to buy a cabin when we retired.

Definition of Perfection

  • 5 of 5
When I was younger my family would visit the Great Smoky Mountain often and I cannot remember to much of those trips but I knew I had a fun time. This trip was beyond fun! I would like to say that one of the nicest parts about this vacations was coming back after a long day of sightseeing, exploring, and adventure seeking to such a wonderful cabin! Truly, the pictures provided below do not do it justice! This cabin is at the tip top of the mountain and there are only a hand full above it! It has this amazing view in the morning and at night. If your looking for a cabin to get away to the Great Smokys with you should just stop looking and go ahead and book this cabin. Not only is the cabin extremely nice, but so is the owner. This cabin truly is the one, I personally plan on returning and staying here again. The only things that might scare someone away from this cabin is the long windy road up to it ( considering its at the very top). But don't worry after going up and down it a few times you will get the hang of it and it becomes not problem.

Pros:
AMAZING VIEW
Kitchen comes fully stocked
Extra blankets
Comfy & Clean Beds
Nice Set up
Large parking area
Perfect Location
Open floor plan
Jacuzzi
Amazing tub upstairs
....well just about everything

Cons:
Scary long road up to cabin

AWESOME VIEW

  • 5 of 5
This was our 1st year as a family to spend Christmas away from home. I must admit I had mixed feelings about our decision but after being there with our loved ones in this amazing atmosphere I would do it all over again!!! There were a few minor things that did not work(jets didn't work in tub, one of the TV's didn't work and the stove had issues) There was a nice note telling us about the stove and we managed fine. I was able to prepare our Christmas dinner so it worked out... I would most definitely pick this cabin again for a family stay!

Owner's Response: I have waited to respond to your review until we got to the cabin.
Loft Jetted Tub-the jets do work. You didn't turn them on. There is a dial on the right hand corner of the tub that controls the jet air pressure. That is probably what you turned on. There is a button on the left had corner that turns the jets on.
Guests can call Karla or myself if they need assistance. Our phone numbers are posted at the cabin.
TV-that was a Comcast issue. Comcast has taken care of it.
Stove-one of the burners quit working. Instead of putting money in a 10 y/o stove for repairs I opted to buy a new stove but couldn't get delivery until Jan. I didn't like it but there was nothing I could do about it. I left a note for our guests explaining the situation. If you visit again, and I hope you do, you can cook on a new smooth top range!

Thank you for your input,
Barbara

The cabin was very well equipt with everything we needed and our Thanksgiving holiday was wonderful. It was awsome to wake up every morning to the most beautiful view I have seen in the 15 years we have been going to Pegion Forge and Gattlinburg. Words can not describe the view, you just have to live it. We usually get a different cabin every year but I think this one may be a keeper. We truly loved the week we spent there.

Wonderful View, Wonderful Cabin

  • 5 of 5
Very clean, spacious, comfortable cabin. We loved the area, spectacular views. The three decks are a huge plus. We were hoping to spot a bear in the woods, but had to settle for the bear cabin decor. The owners were helpful with any questions we had prior, and we will choose the same exact spot when we come back. The directions say to keep going up, they mean it - the windy road twists and gets you to the spot eventually - and it's worth the drive up up up!

Location

From the Owner

My only cabin requirement for a cabin was a view. I scouted cabins for a year before buying A VIEW FROM THE TOP. This was IT for me! From all three decks there was the most incredible view I had seen in my year long search. The cabin sat directly across from Mt. LeConte with no wires or rooftops interfering with the beautiful view.
