Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery cool couple who give off the aire of being young purpose seekers despite being entrenched in real parenthood.I would love to see these two on their own turf. Félicitez les admirables français

Alex is a great host and was very accommodating throughout the time I was there. The apartment is very clean and the room that you would be staying in is pretty big, has great lighting, and comes equipped everything you could possibly need (microwave, mini fridge, closet, drawers, etc.). The apartment has a great atmosphere and was pleasant to come back to after a day of exploring (minus the hike up to the 5th floor). This property is only 2 blocks from the subway which can take you basically anywhere and is very easy in learning how to navigate.

Alex knows a lot about the city and was able to answer any questions that I had for him. He offered me a list of recommendations regarding restaurants, night life, and attractions that were great to check out didn't cost too much either.

Overall, I highly recommend this property! Considering the price and location, I don't think you'll be able to find a better deal. If I ever return to New York, I will definitely try and book this rental again.

Such a great place

Alex's apartment is very cool and really close to the north edge of Central Park and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. The 116th St. subway station is two blocks away, so it is a in a very convenient location to get anywhere in Manhattan. There are many convenient restaurants nearby includng Melba's (delicious soul food) and Dunkin' Donuts.

Alex has fully furnished the apartment with plenty of dishes in the kitchen, plenty of extra towels, and an awesome canopy bed. It was always nice to come "home" from sightseeing to a home, not a hotel room. And with Alex's prices, you can't beat that!

Great experience

My daughter and I had a wonderful New York experience! The apartment was close to the subway. It was close to a nice market where we could buy our breakfast and snacks for our 4 day stay. Alex communicated everything very well for us before we arrived. We felt safe each night as we arrived back very late from our day excursions. We enjoyed everything about our stay!

Just perfect

My wife and I enjoyed our 10 days stay in this excellent accommodation. Only 5 min from subway, 15 min travel from theater district, central park, United Nations, etc.
The streets are very secures, we walked at 3 AM without any danger.

The room is clean with Air Conditioning and we felt like real guests. We had everything available.

The owner is adorable and very helpful. We had the chance to meet someone very kind who gave us such important advices about the city.

To sum up, you will find in this studio only benefits.
The location, amenities and price are one of the best deals you can find in NY.
Enjoyed everything. Hurry to return there !

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We were able to find parking on the street directly in front of the building and, because Monday was a holiday, didn't have to move it during the 3 days we were there. The room was clean and comfortable. Subway and bus connections were easy. We made our own simple breakfast every day, and could have used Alex's kitchen if we wanted to. Alex was very friendly and knowledgeable about places to go, etc. He carried my suitcase up the five flights of stairs--a big help. Don't be put off by the "smoking allowed" listing. He has access to the roof for smokers but doesn't allow it in the room.

From the Owner

The area here is one of the last laid back residential feeling areas in upper Manhattan which had proximity to all the things I cherish(parks, museums,Columbia U).I wanted to be part of a neighborhood that has flavor and is growing with out being sterilized.Could'nt be happier in Manhattan

From the Owner

My apartment has many arced windows, roof access and a view to the Americas largest Cathedral right from the studio Bay window. The Park is directly across the street and Central Park a stone's throw.I enjoy that it is a new building with the old style charm from the outside without all the slapped together feeling you get in most affordable coops in the city.
