About the neighborhood:
The Jacobsen House is located in the sunny Dogpatch neighborhood on the South Eastern bay side of San Francisco.
Just south of downtown San Francisco, the Dogpatch neighborhood offers easy access to multiple attractions. Public transportation is available via the 3rd street rail line, the 48 and 22 bus lines, and the Cal Train commuter rail service--all within two blocks of the apartment.
There is a wonderful cafe nearby if you crave a cappuccino, and six renown restaurants within two blocks. Just up Potrero Hill, there are more restaurants and local shopping.
Notably, this area typically escapes the foggy marine layer that moves into the northerly and westerly San Francisco neighborhoods each afternoon.

About urban neighborhood parking:
The Dogpatch neighborhood has ample street parking relative to other San Francisco neighborhoods. As in all San Francisco neighborhoods, some blocks have 4 hour restrictions during the business day; other blocks have no restrictions. All blocks have street cleaning once per week. All parking rules are clearly posted on each block.
Alternatively, guests may opt for off street parking at the nearby public lot for only $5.00 per 24 hour period. A bargain payable directly to the lot.
Thank you so very much for driving me to the Pier 39. I had a great day watching the boats and touring. I hope you like red wine, we left you a bottle on the counter, as well as Long Board beer in the fridge. Thank you again, Linda
Historic Victorian located in the fashionable micro-neighborhood of Dogpatch. Situated on the sunny, San Francisco Bay side of Potrero Hill, Dogpach grew from the need for industrial worker housing in the late 19th century. Two blocks from the waterfront, Dogpatch is now the home of San Francisco's Museum of Craft and Design and acclaimed restaurants and bars, including: Michael Ricchuti's Chocolate Lab and Little Nib, highly rated Piccino Cafe, Yield Wine Bar, Serpentine. Notably, Dogpatch is the center of San Francisco's burgeoning craft economy. Coined an 'urban laboratory,' Dogpatch has retained its industrial roots--housing numerous makers, designers, and small manufacturing suites.
