Wow! VERY reasonably priced and in a GREAT location! THE CALENDAR IS UP TO DATE CHECK FOR AVAILABILITY THERE!

Bright and welcoming. Mountain Breezes and Ocean Views! This place is designed for people who want to hear the birds sing and feel the soft trade winds breathe on their sun-kissed skin. For those who want to smell the sweetness of the plumeria's and delight in the exotic palms almost an arms reach from your lanai.

From serene sunsets to exciting live volcanic eruptions, the Big Island has it all and Kona Seaviews is ideally situated for all of your fun Kona adventures. Just 300 feet in elevation up from the best snorkel beach in Kona (Kahaluu) where sea turtles are often seen sunning themselves on the shore and 20 minutes to the most pristine golf course you can imagine, where the wild Peacocks and Nene birds are free to roam.

Kona Seaviews is the best part of a newer Hawaiian home (built in 2003) situated in one of Kona's most authentic Hawaiian neighborhoods. Your ohana has it's own entrance and the only thing you share is the laundry room, with Dianne and I and only when we are able to leave the mainland and enjoy our piece of paradise.

Pick from the lime tree or a plumeria, and enjoy the GREAT weather; beautiful flowers; singing birds and all the peaceful views of the Pacific from the lanai.

This is a home you will want to return to year after year. Come and enjoy the lush, rich, peacefullness of Kona Seaviews. You will be glad you did.

Our vacation ohana offers three bedrooms, two baths, a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, an indoor living room with TV, wireless internet service, and laundry facilities. Relax and enjoy the peaceful ocean views while you have your breakfast or coffee on the huge lanai in the morning or with a glass of wine in the evening absorbing the beautiful Kona sunsets. Ceiling fans in each room allow for open windows and for you to awaken to the sound of singing birds.

Bring your swim suit and flip flops and your good to go. We have installed an outdoor shower to help you wash off the sand from your trips to the beach.

About the Owner

We are Clyde and Dianne Sebastian, originally from Minnesota but met while we were both teaching school in Australia. We have four adult children and three granddaughters. We have been Texans since 1984. We discovered the Big Island when we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in 1999. We fell in love with Hawaii and eventually purchased our home in 2007. At this time we still spend most of our time on the mainland and thus our fully furnished home is available to you for vacation rental. Dianne has a rewarding career working with students who have dyslexia and Clyde has recently returned to coaching high school wrestling. This keeps us on the mainland for now.

Wonderful Experience

  • 5 of 5
We often enjoy a stay over in Oahu on our way back and forth between Australia and LA but this time we decided to divert to the Big Island for a few days. So wonderfully different from Honolulu. The Island is beautiful and this home provided a perfect home base for our day excursions and provided a wonderful place to enjoy dinner and the Kona Sunsets. We will make this diversion again!

Great Escape and Great Value!

  • 5 of 5
We decided to escape the Texas heat and try Hawaii. The snorkeling was fabulous and we just from shore, no boat tours were needed. The house has a fabulous lanai and the breezes were cool and soothing. The home is clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We were pleased that the owner recently supplied a gas grill because it wasn't listed when we booked. We were able to get some fresh Ono (Ono means good in Hawaiian) and it was fabulous cooked on the grill. Escaping the heat to Hawaii was great! We may need to make this an annual adventure. There is still so much more to see!

KONA Seaviews - Awesome Sunsets

  • 5 of 5
We had our morning coffee on the lanai and then less than 10 minutes to snorkel and sand beaches! The location was perfect for our Hawaii vacation.

The outdoor shower was great to wash the sand off and clean up before we headed up to explore the higher elevations. We'd get back in time to enjoy an evening sunset and then head down to Kona to enjoy a stroll through the shops and enjoy some local entertainment.

Everything we needed was provided. There were beach towels and mats, coolers, and beach chairs. The evenings were quiet and restful after active days enjoying Hawaii. We will definitely be back.

JUST AS PROMISED

  • 5 of 5
The home was exactly as portrayed in the pictures. The location was perfect as a base to explore the Island. With the affordable pricing we were able to unpack and make ourselves at home. We then just took our tooth brushes, an extra swim suit, and were able to stay two nights on the other side of the island leaving our unpacked suitcases behind knowing everything was secure. The owners google maps found on the owners website were very helpful for planning our trip to the east side.

On a side note we were amazed at the transformation of the yard that took place during our stay (everything grows in Hawaii). The neighbors trees had grown over the driveway and the owners car looked hardly protected by the car tent that had been damaged by recent weather. The overgrowth was cleaned up and removed and a new car tent was put over the owners car. The overgrowth didn't impact us at all because we spent our time on the lanai looking out to the beautiful palm trees and the ocean.

Owner's Response: Paul, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes, things grow in Hawaii. Our previous yard care person wasn't getting the job done and we have found a new service that comes in weekly. I'm please to let our future guests know that the yard will be in good order going forward. Clyde

GREAT FAMILY VACATION!

  • 5 of 5
The home is so pleasant and comfortable. Our four children ages 4 to 12 LOVED this place, as there was ample space for them to run around and make noise. The outside shower made getting the boys to wash the beach sand off easy and fun. The yard gave them a place to burn off energy and the neighborhood kids were friendly too. We were a bit worried about no BBQ grill but found the stove and oven worked well and we had our meals on the lanai anyway. We ended up falling in love with the way it really made it easy to spend all our meal times at the house looking at the Pacific Ocean and the palm trees. The location is great, as you can be down in town in town in less than ten minutes. There are great beaches just down the mountain from the house although it’s about a ten minute drive. Kahaluu Beach was fabulous for the kids. They wanted to go back there every day. The master bed room with a full bath was perfect for us. The kids had their own bath to share and we had our privacy. We were delighted to look out the window above our heads at night and see the stars. In the morning we always awoke to singing birds and beautiful blue skies. We understand Clyde and Dianne will be retiring soon and moving here to live in the lower level. We look forward to coming back when they are here as Clyde was very helpful providing information and great things to see for free on the Island.

Location

From the Owner

We purchased this home because the lanai across the front of the home gave us a true Hawaiian feeling. Being built in 2003 it is clean and fresh. You enter our home on the second level and as you enter you will already see the ocean through the patio doors out to the lanai. The ceramic tile floors eliminate any worn out carpet. The master has a king bed with a private full bath. The second bedroom also has a king bed which makes for private sleeping for two couples. The third bedroom has a single bed and a desk which provides a place for your laptop. The queen sofa is a hide-abed if needed. You will find you spend most of your time out on the lanai where we have three tables and nine chairs. Our pricing allows you to save money for a longer stay or to do the Manta night dive. You will be pleased with the climate, fresh air, and comfort of our home.

Our newer home, built in 2003, is located at a pleasant elevation yet close to Kailua Kona Bay. A 3.2 mile drive will take you to bay side restaurants and shops. Some of the best snorkel, sand, and surf beaches are just down the mountain to Alii Drive. The Kona coast offers beautiful views, coral snorkeling, dolphins, and whales. Explore coffee and macadamia nut farms. Our affordable prices give you the option to pay for a hotel or bed and breakfast when you make the trip east to see the volcano, hot ponds, and beauty of the Hamakua coast. You will want to explore the Island but it is called the Big Island for a good reason. Base out of our home and spend a night when it's low tide on the other side of the Island. The tide pools of Kapoho and the Hot Ponds are better at low tide. Tina manages things for us on the Island and will make sure everything is ready for you.

Amenities

From the Owner

Affordability with a great location. Our pricing for a single couple is a great value and our location is perfect for exploring all the Big Island has to offer. We have additional beds for more guests for families and small groups and our pricing for the additional guests is reasonable. Our home gives you a good perspective of what it would be like to actually live in Hawaii. We have a diverse neighborhood from snow birds to local Hawaiians. You may hear the hula classes down the street and drive by our neighbors who have two pet pigs. Watch for children when schools out and keep them safe. This is a neighbor hood where you hear kids play just like it use to be on the mainland. There is one neighbor who has an occasional outburst but if you’re out enjoying the Island you will likely never hear him. It becomes quite here after sunset as you will experience when you come and visit the authentic Hawaii experience here on Sea View Circle. Try it, and you will not be disappointed!

Notes:

  • Our guests love the open air and views from our Lanai. We have had inquiries about the need for air conditioning. No one has air conditioning at our elevation. The temperatures are pleasant and you will sleep comfortably at night. Additionally, every room has a ceiling fan which is helpful during the warmer part of the day. There is no need to enclose yourself inside and run an air conditioner. We need that back in Texas but you will be very comfortable and enjoy the open air while staying at our home in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
