There are 120 piney acres to call your own and 8,000 acres of Whitewater National Forest beyond that. Inside, this house sleeps 10 with accommodations including a beautiful master bedroom and two bedrooms with queen beds. Sweeping 180-degree views from the home's setting on historic Gibson Hill include Breckenridge Ski Resort's powdery slopes - which will tempt you to go play outdoors - or simply take it all in from the private hot tub. Watch deer and elk in the meadow in front of the cabin and enjoy sunsets - as well as fireworks on the Fourth of July - during the torchlight parade, and New Years Eve from your 65 foot deck. Hike to the nearby ghost town and historic markers left by early Spanish explorers. Pan for gold in the nearby streams, have a picnic or tell stories while sitting by a campfire at night. The kicker? All this beauty and privacy is just 2.5 miles from Main Street, Breckenridge, filled with boutiques, galleries, great restaurants and nightlife.

My extended family stayed at Burgan ranch for our Thanksgiving vacation and it was an amazing experience. The house comes equipped with all the necessary tools for preparing your Thanksgiving fest, with the exception of a turkey roaster pan.
I agree with the other posters that in the winter it would be tricky to get to this location with ice / snow on the road, so a 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must. Luckily we didn't experience any issues. Also, the house is at about 10,300 feet above sea level so folks that aren't use to this altitude will have a hard time adjusting and might want to consider a rental at a lower elevation.
For renters with dogs this is a great location with a huge fenced in back yard (my best estimate is 50 by 100 feet). My pups really loved it since there were plenty of things to smell and tons of room to play.
The pictures do not due the house justice. The bathrooms are newly renovated (although strangely enough the master bathroom / on suite doesn't have a door). The bedrooms have a cozy lodge feeling because of the tasteful decor. And most importantly the views of Breckenridge's ski slopes are amazing. The house is directly across from the Breck slopes so it was also fun to see the lights from the crews prepping the slopes nightly for the next days activities. My only compliant is that the wireless internet was really slow, so staying connected to work was painful. But if disconnecting from world and spending time with your family is on the agenda then this is the place for you.
