About the Owner

My parents started taking my four brothers and our sister on ski trips to Breckenridge from our small town in northeastern Kansas back in 1977. We fell in love with the place so much so that we returned every year. We have many fond memories of our time at Breck and can't believe it has been over 30 years since we first visited. We all currently reside in the Kansas City area and continue to spend time there in the winter but we make it a point to go back during the summer too. it's great to be able to take our kids to a place we enjoyed so much growing up.

Awesome Friends and Family Reunion.

Thank you Darren and Co. for an amazing weekend at your property. Even though Breckenridge did not open as planned, we still had a delightful time and thoroghly enjoyed the ample accomodations on the slopes of Peak 8. I will definitely keep you all in mind whenever any occasion arises and especially for those quick snowboard getaways with friends and family. Thanks again, Matt.

Amazing time in Breck in the summer!

  • 5 of 5
We went to Breck in July and stayed in this amazing condo. Not only did it have terrific amenities, but it was a terrific location too. We loved using the kitchen to cooking up a big meal. There were TONS of beds and all in great shape. We enjoyed watching the foxes beg for food outside the condo each night. The view from the deck was terrific for quiet morning hot tea. But most importantly, the owners were AMAZING to us (above and beyond the call of duty) when we had a family emergency which had us extend our stay by a few days. We will GLAD come again! You cannot go wrong staying in this condo ANY time of year!!!

Great condo!!!

This condo was ideal for our summer trip. We walked to the base of peak 8 which made it great for my kids and easy to take the gondola to town. I can only imagine how great it is to ski in and out of this place. The condo was beautiful! Very well kept and updated. Very clean, lush towels, comfortable beds, heated bathroom floors, large balcony, terrific view. We will definitely be back!

Great condo for ski in/ski out

  • 5 of 5
Very nice, updated condo with a great view and optimal location about 30 yards from the lifts at the bottom of peak 8. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and felt comfortable the whole trip. Darren was very proactive getting us keys and info about the condo.

We have rented this condo every year since 1989 or 1990. We are so spoiled by the convenience that we don't ski anyplace but Breck. The owners remodeled a few years ago and the condo is beautiful. They have always made sure that everything is in working order and you have all the amenities you need. Lots of room and very nice. TVs in all bedrooms. The loft is a very usable space and has a full bathroom with shower. Heaters in the floors are a bonus for cold ski feet! The maid service does a great job in keeping it clean and comfy. The view is fabulous - looks over the Peak 8 superchairs. Watched the Dew Tour from the balcony and the delayed play on TV. Ski locker right front of the exit door to the slopes. Never have to get in your car to drive. Access to all of the Breck mountains. It is the best we have found - a 5 star +++++!!!

Truly ski in and ski out

  • 5 of 5
I knew it was ski in ski out when I could here the snow cats from the condo! The slopes were just feet from the back door where our ski locker was located.

The condos were conveniently located on the mountain as well. It was a very short drive to the village. It was also located just above a handful of lifts that would take you all over the mountain. Coming back for lunch was easy as well since it was located high enough on the mountain without having to go all the way to the bottom.

The condo was nice, well maintained and well appointed. All bedrooms were roomy and the balcony was huge. A great place to après overlooking the slopes.

From the Owner

When we traveled from our hometown to Breckenridge, Skiwatch was the very first unit we ever stayed in. From that point on, we always returned and grew accustomed to the convenience of simply putting on our gear and skiing down to the lifts. When the unit was up for sale, we didn't hesitate a minute and it has remained in our family ever since. We started renting it shortly after we bought it so that other families could enjoy it as much as we had. We recently remodeled the entire unit, tearing it down to the studs. We made significant modifications and our desire was to update it in such a way as to provide a wow factor for anyone who stays here. Based on the feedback, and the fact that recent building renovations incorporated our design elements, we succeeded in our efforts. We added a full bath to the upstairs bedroom, created a more open concept kitchen/living area and expanded room for storage. It is spacious and comfortable. Breckenridge is a great area. It is unlike other ski resort destinations in that the town was here long before anyone took to the slopes. Gold was first discovered along the Blue River, which runs through town, in 1859. Breckenridge does contain more than 350 historic structures, making it the largest historic district in the state of Colorado. It is a great town to walk around in with plenty of shops and great restaurants to choose from. It has charm and character which always brings us back.

From the Owner

There is no doubt that the greatest feature of this unit is the fact that you can grab breakfast, put on your ski outfits, put on you skis, and head down to the lift. It is so convenient that it's hard to beat. When you are tired or hungry, just ski in and take a rest. With the sun out and shining on the deck in the afternoon we have often found ourselves sitting outside to enjoy the weather.
