I love Houston, and I love living in this house when it's not rented. Even though I live here in this big city, I crave quiet and relaxation, and that's just what I get living here. I enjoy exploring the city - from nightlife, to sports and the arts, I always try to be involved.
We LOVED the Hazard house! Beyond our wildest expectations! Be sure to send us a link to write a review, we give it 5 * * * * * + + + ! Will recommend to anyone who wants an authentic River Oaks/Montrose experience. We loved the Empire Cafe -- still buzzed on those Mega-Mimosas!
“I've always wanted to live in this part of Houston. To me, it has the best of everything - a great location, close to Montrose, downtown, the Galleria and parks, which I enjoy. It's also a very cozy house, and extremely comfortable. When you visit this neighborhood, you'll see a mixture of the historic and the new, of contemporary sophistication and old-time elegance. I think that mixture is so interesting and adds to Houston's appeal.”
This house is very well-located in the middle of it all, while still enjoying the tranquility and 'small town' feel of the beautiful and prestigious River Oaks neighborhood. You'll be one block away from the historic River Oaks shopping center, with world-class restaurants, a movie theater, and shopping. Grocery stores like Whole Foods, Kroger and Randall's are at arm's reach. Popular locations like downtown, the arts district, the Galleria shopping district, museums, the world-class Medical Center, and popular Buffalo Bayou, Hermann and Memorial Parks are only a quick ride away, mostly within 3-5 miles from the house. You'll feel like you are in the heart of the city and close to everything, enjoying the best that Houston and our friendly people have to offer. “I love the backyard. It's private and has a nice deck for a lazy morning. The grill is also really nice for those days when you just want to have some fun outside. I also like the Jacuzzi bathtub. It's the perfect way to cap off a busy day. The tree-lined street is also a favorite feature. I often just put my sneakers on and go for a run around the block. It's a great way to decompress and enjoy the surroundings. And anytime is a good time to sit on the shaded front porch swing and watch as the occasional neighbor walks by.”
