This 1920's Charmer Has 3 Bedrooms, One Bathroom And Can Sleep Up To 6 Guests

Tastefully and comfortably furnished, all of the requisite updates are present but with the original old world charm in tact. Newly refinished hardwoods throughout the main level, coved ceilings with all the original wood trim, and a Batchelder fireplace make this a Seattle classic.

In the living room there is a 40' HDTV with built in internet (Netflix is set up), DVD player and strong and stable WiFi.

The kitchen is bright and spacious and has an electric stove, dishwasher, and all the supplies you need to do real cooking. The antique kitchen table expands to seat 6.

Off the kitchen is a charming back deck with a small electric grill, and small table for outdoor eating.

Two bedrooms on the main floor each have a double bed. The antique-filled downstairs (basement level) bedroom has comfortable twin beds and a desk.

Also in the basement is a laundry area with front-loading washer and dryer.

Perfect home away from home

Loved this place. Perfect home away from home. Spotlessly clean. Kitchen stocked with cooking utensils etc. Lovely small outdoor porch with bbq. Home was artfully decorated. Would stay here again so that sums it up.

Returning former Seattlite

  • 5 of 5
I brought my new husband, son and stepson for a long weekend, a chance to visit friends, make our annual pilgrimage to Folklife, and enjoy all I missed about Seattle. Loved the opportunity to stay in a beautiful 1920s era bungalow. Andrew and Sarah have provided a lovely home, very comfortable, easy to use, accessible to freeways and transport, lovely quiet neighborhood. Would stay again in a heartbeat. We are in our 50s, fit, with two sons around age 20.

Fantastic!

This house is a perfect place for a family to stay. The adults slept upstairs in the two bedrooms and our 6 and 9 year old grandchildren were downstairs. Everything was lovely - nice linens, perfectly clean house and a nice back porch for morning coffee. Couldn't have been better.

Great home away from home

  • 5 of 5
Clean and well maintained older home with lots of charm in a residential neighborhood. Very tastefully decorated. We spent a week here and it really has everything to make you feel at home rather than at a rental. The owners were very helpful and available living only 5 mins away. They even setup a twin blow up mattress for us when our 2.5 yr old daughter had trouble sleeping in the basement. The location is extremely convenient for getting around, with plenty of options for dining and shopping within minutes (order Pagliacci's pizza delivery, pricey but really good). Note that it is located on a very busy street on a bus route, so there is some road noise. Also, for families with small children, keep in mind there is an open laundry shoot to the basement (easy to block off). The stairs down to the basement/garage may be a bit daunting for smaller children or seniors. There are also a few steps (as pictured) to get to the front door. With those caveats I recommend it for 55+ or families with young children.

Perfect House

  • 5 of 5
My husband, son and niece needed a place near my daughter's house for a visit. This charming house was the perfect location. The house was clean and fresh when we arrived and so cute. We had everything we needed. Sarah met us when we arrived and showed us around the house and gave us some of her homemade granola. What a treat! My son loved the basement bedroom...he had his own space.

We will absolutely stay again.

A cosy and charming house with excellent amenities and comforts

  • 5 of 5
We are originally from Seattle but living abroad currently. We chose to stay at Andrew and Sarah's rental during our visit. Firstly, the communication was excellent from the time we enquired about the house to meeting us at the house to deliver keys. The house is in the Ravenna area, a nice residental area of Seattle conveniently located a minute from I-5, which takes you to places you want to go, and close to a grocery store and restaurants. Andrew and Sarah had very thoughtfully stocked the fridge with some basic amenities (milk, yogurt and excellent homemade granola!) which was great for us after our long plane trip (our 4 yr old loved the yoghurt). The house is cosy, charming, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The amenities in the kitchen etc were excellent, well above what we have encountered in our many VRBO stays all over the world over the last 10 years. Andrew and Sarah also very nicely accomodated our request for a late check-out. It was a perfect trip for us - thanks so much Andrew and Sarah for your hospitality and we hope to be back next year over the holidays as well.
