We call it Otter Pond because of the sassy river otter that visits now and again, and we view our open spaces as a natural resource to be shared, protected, and enjoyed.
We work hard to be here in this amazing setting and we feel so much more gratified by it when we can share it with as many good people as possible.
“This is a family venture; we have now partnered with our long term renter to manage the property. We're setting this short term rental to get started with our long term sustainable land use plan combining tiny house construction and education with permaculture style forest gardens.”

“Enjoy a solitary walk in the woods if you wish, or bring your spouse, kids, or buddy to hang with you. Additional guests can camp out in sleeping bags or air beds on the floor, or in tents if you’re a Scout about it - you know, leave no trace, no fires during dry season, etc. It’s a great place to swim, hike, BBQ, study nature, or just relax and get away in a peaceful forest setting. We also set up an outdoor shower, which you are free to use. From the giant hollow stumps of a couple redwoods you can go inside and hang out in, to the mossy logs spanning little ravines, this land has a certain magic to it. Beloved California native plants, birds, and amphibians are everywhere, and every season and every hour has its own special range of colors, sounds, and visual delights. This is the perfect for writing a novel or script, hiking in nature, meditating in serenity, or just as a base for your wine country explorations.”
